Note: This campsite IS open in October. It closes 1st November. Great campsite. All facilities available. Clean and tidy. The most awesome views. We paid £34 for a spot with all services. There’s a bar on site or you can drive or walk a few km to a restaurant (Smoo Cave Hotel).

Five star simply for the views. Challenging Road to drive to in parts of you are coming from the east coast but manageable if you give yourself time to allow other road users to pass. Food cart ran out of food the night we were here, go early. Very popular site. Pitches not very big but enough room.

Very busy campsite and can only go in from 12:30, try and get there as soon as you can. But over all great campsite

Einzigartige Lage an den nördlichen Klippen Schottlands. Sanitäre Anlagen sauber und sehr warm. Kleine Breakfast Bar vorhanden. Freie Platzwahl auf dem Graß bei Buchung ohne Strom. Toller Viewpoint direkt dahinter. Von dort aus Wanderung zur Smoo Cave und ins Dorf von Durness gut möglich.

The breakfast bar! yes folks. All this and breakfast bar too. nothing super fancy but coffee and a bacon roll was just great. I loved this site, the folks were super kind and helpful. the facilities are good and the views out to see are gorgeous.

Aardige eigenaren. Konden op een drukke dag zonder te boeken alsnog terecht. Het uitzicht prachtig en het grote voordeel van de camping was de aanwezigheid van een restaurant (pub food) en een breakfast bar op de camping.

Impossible de vidanger les eaux grises et les WC, ni de faire le plein d’eau (même en payant); tous ces services sont réservés aux résidents qui restent au moins une nuit. Dommage

I went in August and didn't book. I was lucky there were still a couple of spaces. but if you have a larger camper or hook up you might be disappointed as all pitches were taken.. my most favourite beach in the whole of Scotland. crystal clear water and white sand. facilities were fantastic and all for only £13 for myself the dog & a van.

Nice campsite on the edge of a cliff, with two sand beaches beneath it. Very friendly staff. we didnt book, but got there around 4 and there was plenty of space. but near the end of the day it was quite full. Smoo cave is a mile long walk from here, which is a must do when you go here

Super schöne Lage und top Campingplatz. Sanitäranlagen etwas veraltet, aber sauber. Wir hatten einen Stellplatz ohne Strom. Da es ohne Strom keine eingeteilten Plätze gibt, sondern freie Platzwahl, kann es passieren, dass die Nachbarn einem sehr nah kommen. Das ist der einzige Grund für den 1 Stern Abzug.

Ottimo campeggio con tutti i servizi, e anche un piccolo bar per le colazioni / pranzi. Personale gentile ed accogliente. Se serve l'elettricità bisogna compilare il modulo sul loro sito, altrimenti si entra dopo le 12 se c'è posto. Una bellissima vista delle spiagge sottostanti! Torneremo sicuramente. Grazie!

Absolute Mega Lage auf Klippe. Unterhalb karibischer Sandstrand. Sehr nette Betreiber. Sanitär okay. Wer in erster Reihe mit Meerblick stehen möchte, muss mit Strom buchen. Ohne Strom gibt’s freie Auswahl auf der grünen Wiese im inneren.

You can’t go wrong with this site as a stop over on the NC500. We’ve payed for no parking so far except for this one. Storm Floris hit and we needed cover. Arrived at 12. First in line and got told to park anywhere on the grass. We got a prime spot right by the sea (until the wind starts anyway) lots of options to park near or away from beach/windy areas. They have hook up too but must book. Spent three nights. Walked to Smoo cave 25mins. Durness beach 5mins and coco mountain and Balnakeil beach around 35/40 mins walk. Showers/cooking area/washing up/plug sockets/toilets all free. £6 washer 40min wash and £3 tumble dryer 45mins. 5star. Lovely owners too.

Superbe camping très spacieux. Propriétaires très aimables. Une dizaine de douches assez grandes. Machine à laver et sèche linge. Une salle est dédiée au petit déjeuner avec machine à café.

merveilleux endroit tant pour les vans, les motards ou les cyclistes, tout est prévu. chouette environnement

Schöner, sehr großer Campingplatz mit wenig Platz zwischen den einzelnen Stellflächen. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft, nette Begrüßung auf Deutsch. Die Sanitäranlagen sind in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Der Größe entsprechend gibt es reichlich Möglichkeiten zur Ver- & Entsorgung auf dem Platz. Sogar eine Breakfast Bar mit einem üppigen Frühstücksangebot ist vorhanden. Absolut lohnenswert.

Arrivés la veille des Highland Games de Durness, nous avons trouvé le camping archi plein, comme tout le reste du village... L'emplacement avait l'air sympa, on regrette juste qu'on ne nous ait refusé categoriquement de vider nos eaux grises, même contre paiement... Pas très sympa.

This site was on our NC500 route and was our Favourite site. Was told at reception that the 25ish spots that have an unobstructed sea view are required to book well in advance (sometime 6 month apparently) although we had a decent view. Beach was amazing, food was ok - nothing to rave about. Facilities were nice and the staff are very friendly and take their time with you. Good phone signal.

One of my favourite campsites, super cheap and amazing views over the beaches which are great for swimming! Facilities are good and well looked after, and the staff are lovely and helpful! Got there at 12 when they open and there were already a few campers before me so get there early for the best spot!

Cheap without electric, right on the beach, lovely hot showers, place to do laundry. It is busy, but given the location, this is why. Get here early (from midday) to get the best pitches with a sea view. Great campsite!

Sehr nette Begrüßung von Patrick, hier wird deutsch gesprochen, toller gepflegter CP. Schöne Wanderungen, Smoo Cave in der Nähe, Traumhafte Sicht auf das Meer. Sie können auch auf dem CP ein Frühstück bekommen. Oberhalb vom CP gibt es einen Spar. Sonntag war unterhalb vom CP ein Fish&chips Imbisswagen da, sehr lecker.

Excelente camping com tudo o que você precisa e uma vista incrível! Chuveiros ótimos! O camping é bem movimentado, então chegue cedo ou agende com antecedência. Fomos muito bem recebidos!

Sauberer Platz mit toller Aussicht,direkt an Strand.Herzlicher Empfang.Die Smoo Cave ist sehenswert.

Für seine Größe super Platz! Aussicht und Strand einfach klasse. Ein paar Meter nebenan ist ein überraschend super sortierter Spar mit morgens frischen Croissants Baguette und Brot. Sehr nette Betreiberin ! Vorher reservieren / wir hatten Glück und es hat jemand kurz vorher abgesagt!

Super endroit pour décompresser avec tout ce qu'il faut comme service à disposition. Personnel accueillant et bienveillant. 1 cc+ 2 adultes, 26 £. (sans électricité ). Pub et épicerie à proximité. Une vue à 180° tout simplement magnifique. Super rapport qualité prix. Ne pas arriver trop tard, ou pensez à réserver, c'est vite plein. En conclusion : que du bonheur.

Freundlicher Empfang , heißes Wasser in den Duschen, die Möglichkeit morgens Frühstück zu bekommen und eine tolle Aussicht. Für mich und meinen Kombi eine Nacht 13£, incl. Dusche. Dafür brauch ich nicht freistehen.

Ein Traum von Campingplatz. Diese Aussicht und super ausgestattet. Die Breakfast Bar muss man auch probiert haben. Wo man hin kommt ist alles super sauber und die Campmitarbeiter ( zum Teil auch Deutsche) sind unwahrscheinlich freundlich. Wir hatten hier auch ein kleines Problem mit unserem Van und konnten direkt am selben Tag in eine nahe gelegene Werkstadt zu Martin. Der pub ist auch top

Het is een prachtcamping inderdaad, met heel veel mooie plekken met zeezicht. Alleen de prijs klopt niet meer in deze app: 34 GBP voor 2 personen en een camper.

Très beau camping, très bien situé et super accueil. Très bonnes installations sanitaires propres et laverie au top. Superbe vue sur la mer et magnifiques plages à proximité . Magasin d’alimentation à 5 mn à pied .

Sehr schöner Campingplatz, gepflegt und sehr freundlich. Sanitär sauber. Terrassierte Plätze, daher gute Aussicht aufs Meer. Sehr tolle Strände und zahlreiche Wanderungen möglich.

2nd time staying here. Didn’t book but they had space with electric when we arrived around 1.30pm. Amazing views. Laundry, camp kitchen, breakfast bar. Toilets are clean. Hot showers.

beautiful site, fantastic location. well maintained. showers and toilets clean and nice. showers were lovely and hot, though just a push button and you can't adjust. on site launderette £6 to wash £3 to dry. highly recommended. we arrived at 13.30pm without a booking and got on. site was full up by about 1500.

Ein wunderbarer Platz mit sehr netten Gastgebern! Man fühlt sich richtig wohl, saubere Anlage , saubere Sanitäranlagen! Nettes Restaurant nebenan. Idealer Platz für einige Wanderungen. Gerne wieder!

Popped in on the off chance, fitted us in for 1 night, didn’t need EHU. £28. Park where we liked so we overlooked the beautiful beach. Golden sands. Lovely walk. Owner v helpful. Good showers/facilities.

Great campsite , clean facilities and lovely views from pitches , guy in the office was super friendly and gave very good recommendations for our trip , nice bar on site that also serves food , dog friendly !!

Fantastic views with the site being on top of a cliff with slightly sloping ground, but beware the wind with doors and any awning will become a kite very quickly. The views are amazing though. A great place to stop on the NC500

Super Campingplatz mit Meersicht. Sehr windig, aber das muss man in Kauf nehmen, wenn man zuvorderst stehen will :-). Saubere neue Sanitäranlagen. Strom für E-Auto kostet 20£. Es gibt aber 200m entfernt auch eine E-Auto Ladesäule. Gerne immer wieder.

Although the site has closed for the season the owner is allowing overnight stays with EHU, grey/black waste disposal, fresh water and bins for £20 per night. We used one of the newer pitches and even got a glimpse of the Northern Lights. When you arrive you just call the mobile number and they will come and collect the money. Cash only as no facility to take card but the cashpoint is at the Spar

Fantastic location, view of the entire bay, friendly check in. Fair price. Great Spar on site which also sells deli style products which is a nice treat. Bit pricy though so stock up if you’re on a budget. Great showers, super hot! We stayed three nights and noticed that the shower block hadn’t been cleaned at all, except for the floor mopped, which was unpleasant.

Excellent campsite. we turned up at 4pm and got a space. Grass pitches with no electric you can pick where you go. The view we had was amazing, and the beach to the left is beautiful. The dog loved it

sehr schöne Aussicht, saubere und funktionale sanitäre Einrichtungen. Mir hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und ich habe spontan noch einen Platz bekommen. Ich habe den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen.

We turned up at 1pm having not booked and were able to get an amazing seafront pitch with EHU. The Transporter-sized pitches are at the East end of the site and have very close access to the beach. We were able to let the kids go down while we watched them from the top. 4/5 because of high price (£39) and cool showers.

Service OK, schöne Aussicht. Wäsche 6£ Trockner (2x3£), war beim ersten Durchgang noch feucht!! Duschen waren warm, aber nicht heiß :/ Bitte vorne in die Holzkisten kein Müll reintun, die Möwe picken es raus oder es fliegt weg!!

sango sands campsite you have everything you could need on site, we stopped here for 3 night on non electric pitch in LWB sprinter campervan due to very strong winds. the views from the campsite is fantastic and it's very clean, only problem was the showers it was looking warm, this is only reason I have given 4 stars.

Beste Lage, toller Blick auf Klippen und einen perfekten Strand. Sehr freundliche Betreiber. Unweit die Höhle, ein Shop und 1 Meile weg ein sehr gutes Café. Plätze verfügbar, auch wenn Online bereits Voll ist, weil immer „1st come“ möglich bleibt, dann eher vor 4pm ankommen. Frühstück am Platz möglich. Zugehöriges Pub nett aber überfüllt und eher fastfood.

Good Campsite, if there is one BUT, I’d say it was the ‘hot water’ that was not as hot as you’d need after a long wet hike… and unfortunately the shower room was quite cold as well. Otherwise all great

Begehrter Platz, aber spontan einen Platz bekommen. Stellplatz war ganz vorne am Viewpoint. Fantastische Aussicht, nettes Personal. Sanitäranlagen unisex, relativ sauber. Frühstücksbar vorhanden - die Schlange war lang, wir haben das Frühstück aber nicht ausprobiert. Mehrere Wege zu den Stränden. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Platz ist rissig, Blick über die Klippen und den Strand gigantisch. Das macht sich im Preis bemerkbar 31£ mit Strom. Sanigebäude teils geschlossen, die geöffnet sind nict wirklich warm.

Toller Campingplatz an der Steilküste von Durness. Zwei Minuten zur Oasisbar. Essen und Trinken. Campingplatz sehr sauber und die Betreiber nett und freundlich.

Cracking view and beach that deserves 5 stars. Pitches a little closer together than expected, hence the 4 stars given. Plenty available close by in season. Over the ‘fallow’ period you’ll find many things closed. Nice that this campsite allows stays during this time though, definitely a bonus. Beautiful nature surrounds you here and the sea breeze helps keep the dreaded midgies at bay.

Le meilleur camping de notre voyage pour sa vue incroyable et ses installations au top ! Terrain en herbe, en pente : prévoir les cales.

Compliqués de faire la fine bouche en Ecosse et ils le savent bien mais 12£ soit 14.3€ pour faire les services que l'on fait gratuitement ou pour 2 ou 3€ dans beaucoup de pays, c'est abusé. On leur accordera que dans ce camping, tout est pratique pour les faire.

Un emplacement de rêve. La plage en contrebas est à 3 mns à pieds. Les sanitaires sont corrects. Personnels très efficaces. Le pub juste à côté fait des pizzas très agréables. Tout autour un tas de coins sympas à visiter.

Sehr freundlicher Mann an der Reception der Deutsch spricht! Superplatz auf verschiedenen Hügeln! Daneben ein Pup ab 16h sanitäre alles funktional! Duschen etwas weitläufig! $33bezahlt!

Wunderschöner Campingplatz mit toller Aussicht! Von unserem Stellplatz hatten wir direkte und unverbaute Sicht auf das Meer. Auch ohne Reservierung konnten wir eine Nacht für 24£ ohne Strom hier stehen. Die Hosts sind super freundlich und wenn man möchte gibt es sogar Frühstück. Wir haben nichts auszusetzen und würden immer wieder kommen!

Dieser Campingplatz ist fantastisch. Auf einer Steilklippe mit Sandstrand und Höhle. Einkaufen und Essen in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss. Hundefreundlich! Der Empfang ist herzlich und sympathisch (es wird u.a. auch Deutsch gesprochen). Es hat sogar eine Frühstück-Bar!

Fantastischer Campingplatz an einer Steilküste mit überwältigen Blick auf den Strand /die Bucht und mit allem, was man braucht. Küstenspaziergänge von hier aus möglich. Pub fußläufig zu erreichen. Wenn das Wetter nicht so schlecht gewesen wäre, wären wir länger geblieben...

Stayed three nights with two people and two dogs in a motorhome. Amazing views from every pitch, clean facilities, has great facilities for those in tents (bar, restaurant, breakfast bar, dish washing…). We also did laundry £6 washing and £3 drying, change at reception. Super friendly staff! Great walks and beaches, loved it here!

Hier gestaan met veel wind, camper stond behoorlijk te trillen. Sanitair prima schoon, lekkere warme straal uit de douche en eens een keer geen haren op de grond in de douches. Pub, Spar, tankstation aanwezig en op park tussen 8 en 10 breakfast afhaalbalie. Wasmachine aanwezig en zonder tevoren boeken hadden we een plek om 17.00 uur. Vriendelijk personeel. Top plek ook wegens uitzicht.

Amazing site we never booked in advance and took the risk just turning up on the day as passing that way on our travels. They keep so many pitches on the day for that purpose. Amazing views and top services, clean toilets/showers and was able to do our laundry.

Absolutely recommended with friendly staff and all facilities. Even the breakfast shack is great! The supermarket Spar has some really nice local things and super good bread. Also pub is cosy. Views are fantastic

Haben vor Ort, obwohl online alles ausgebucht war, doch noch einen Stellplatz ohne Strom für unseren Camper bekommen. War einfach eine unfassbare Aussicht! Anlage war sauber und vollkommen in Ordnung! 27 Pfund für eine Nacht, ohne Strom, 2 Personen und ein Hund

Toller Stellplatz direkt am Meer. Die Betreiber sehr herzlich. Hat alles gepasst. Kleiner Supermarkt zu Fuß in 5min erreichbar. Gegenüber vom Markt ist eine Tankstelle.

Super camping avec une vue incroyable.Enormément de vent quand nous y étions. Toutes commodités sont à disposition.Il y a même un breackfest bar qui est top. un petit point en moins pour la propreté des sanitaires.

Die Lage des Platzes verdient bereits 5 Sterne. Wir waren um ca. 12.30 Uhr am Platz und haben sogar noch einen mit Strom bekommen. Sehr netter Empfang. Duschen absolut in Odnung. Alles was man braucht am Platz!

Wer auf der Suche nach nur einer Dusche ist, wird hier nicht fündig. wir haben nach gefragt und wurden weggeschickt.

Verbleven hier 1 nacht met 2 en 7m campervan zonder elektriciteit (alles was volzet) voor 24 pond. Zeer grote camping, stonden op vlak stuk in het gras, mooie uitzichten over het water en kliffen. Veel faciliteiten, ook zeer proper voor zulke grote camping. Ook ontbijt bar aanwezig. Spar winkel op 5 min stappen.

Super Campingplatz. Super neue Duschen. Toiletten etwas alt aber Tipptopp sauber. Waren zwei Nächte dort. Man kann super wandern. Alles in der Nähe was man braucht. Würde gerne wieder kommen.

Gewisse Plätze kann man buchen, die freie Wiesen wer zuerst kommt mahlt zuerst. 24 Pfund ohne Strom. 7 Pfund Strom wie fast überall auf der Insel finde ich komplett überzogen. Duschen waren zwar gefühlt modernisiert aber hatten bereits wieder Schwarzschimmel an den Fugen. Vielleicht sollte man(n) hier mal etwas intensiver reinigen, wenn soviele Personen täglich durchgeschleust werden. Ansonsten ok

superbe endroit avec des personnes très gentille nous ne sommes pas restés pour la nuit nous avons pris que les services pour 12£. et nous sommes partie au the durness food spot sur la route ou nous avons pris un fish and chips .

Amazing site. Very well kept all round and clean. Showers were hot, toilets very clean. There was a breakfast bar open 8-10am for hot rolls which was a nice treat after 3 weeks on the road. Recommend getting up for sunrise on the beach viewing point. Beautiful beach very close. Would recommend this site for sure.

Wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Strand mit den Felsen im Wasser. Sanitäranlagen waren sauber. Leider war zu diesem Zeitpunkt der Imbiss noch nicht geöffnet.

A true Oasias. Limited advanced booking but we arrived late afternoon & still got a pitch at the cliff. 31/03 is already high season so we paid £31/night and accessed - EHU, drinking water, chemical waste grey water disposal, laundrette, showers, bin recycling, kitchen & dish washing area, breakfast bar. Amazing views, great facilities, friendly staff, can't recommend this place enough.

Very good campsite, but very busy. Showers were excellent, toilets were clean but basic. Friendly reception staff, nice village.

Très beau camping spacieux et bien équipé... cependant il faut venir en basse saison pour payer que 10£! Fin mars, c'est déjà en haute saison, et le camping est déjà rempli d'une trentaine de campeurs, surtout des CC. Sinon, c'est comme partout en Ecosse : c'est cher pour un CC qui dispose déjà de toutes les commodités dans son véhicule ! On préfère tellement les endroits sauvages, nombreux...

We stayed here in Feb-out of season so only £10 without ehu. Pitches are a good size, meaning not too close to anyone. Toilets or showers not open out of season but public toilets in village close by if needed. The area is outstanding in beauty, the view amazing. It was quite windy when we went, so didn’t put our pop top up.

Stayed here in mid Feb, no toilets or showers open but electric hook up available and water/waste etc all for £17 . Stunning views and a short walk to a spar shop.

an unbelievable campsite. Kind if dont want to review it so it doesn't get too complicated. Very organised, great facilities and out of season it only cost us £17!! This is without me mentioning the amazing views....

Didn’t end up staying here as we had an issue with our campervan but the guy who works there went out of his way to help us find accommodation whilst our van was getting fixed. Beautiful place and £17 with electric wish we could of stayed here.

What a great place to stay site was open electric water and Elsan waste, no showers or toilets open, but there are some near to the site paid £17 with electric a great stop caves where worth the walk down

Der beeindruckendeste Campingplatz auf dem wir je waren. Toller Ausblick aufs Meer und Zugang zum Sango Sands Viewpoint. Der Platz ist auch im Winter geöffnet. Abends kommt der Besitzer vorbei, schaut ob alles zufriedenstellend ist & sammelt die 17 Pfund ein. Im Winter ist außerdem nicht so viel los und man hat eine größere Chance auf einen Platz direkt an der Klippe.

Mega toller Platz. Ist super schöner Aussicht. Außerhalb der Saison hat der Platz trotzdem geöffnet. Man kann sich hinstellen und den kompletten Service nutzten. Abends kommt der Besitzer oder sein Schwiegersohn vorbei und sammeln 17Pfund ein. Mega klasse für den Platz

Toller Platz mit super Aussicht und wunderschönen Strand. Begeistert waren wir vorallem vom freundlichen, schnellen und unkomplizierten Check in! .

Quel beau site ! Juste au dessus d’une belle plage. Possibilité de faire pleins de balades à pied (notamment jusqu’à la superbe plage de Balnakiel). La dame à la réception est adorable. Beaux emplacements. Douches familiales si besoin.

Lovely site, great facilities. Staff are lovely. Unfortunately when we went to shower at 10pm, there was no hot water. Views across the sandy beaches really nice.

Lovely campsite with excellent facilities including pub and takeaway pizza. Beautiful beach. Non EHU grass parking not pitches, found great level spot on edge of cliff. Arrived at midday to secure spot, but plenty of availability for walk-ins at end of September. Recommended.

Wir standen hier zu zweit zwei Übernachtungen für 58£. Alle Services klasse, Toiletten und Duschen stets sauber, sehr freundliche Dame an der Rezeption. Der Blick ist einfach nur fantastisch, Smoo Cave um die Ecke, ganz toll!

Sind am 19.9. hier angefahren. Wurden des Platzes verwiesen. Nur Voranmeldungen, keine spontanen WOMO. Fahrt gleich weiter, werdet auf den Parkplätzen verjagt. Kein freundlicher Ort für Deutsche oder Wohnmobilisten.

Schön gelegener Platz, tolle Aussicht auf eine weite Bucht mit weißem Sandstrand. Wir waren nur zur Entsorgung hier. 12£ - ohne Nutzung der Sanitäranlagen, noch nicht einmal der Toiletten. Daher nur 3 Sterne

Toller Platz, Toiletten werden mehrmals täglich gereinigt, bei manchen Menschen leider nötig. Sensationeller Ausblick auf die Bucht, bei Ebbe kann man am Strand um die Felsen wandern. Wäsche waschen 5£, Trockner 3£.

Sehr großer und toll gelegener Platz an der Klippe über dem Meer mit direktem Zugang zum Sandstrand. Wir haben auch ohne Reservierung problemlos einen Platz bekommen. Die Plätze sind terrassenartig angeordnet, sodass man auch "in der 2.ten Reihe" schönen Blick aufs Meer hat. Sanitäranlagen sauber, alles da, was man braucht.

Extraordinaire camping. Vue à couper le souffle notamment sur le ponton (point de vue le plus beau de tout notre parcours écossais), camping très calme, plage directement accessible, tous les services dispo (lessive, breakfast, entretien véhicule) ! Je recommande 100 fois.

Perfecto en todos sus servicios, la chica recepcion muy agradable, parcelas de hierba, las vistas son espectaculares por todos los lados. Servicios limpios, duchas unisex. 29 libras unos 34 euros, ac y dos adultos. Muy recomendable.

Super schöner Camping Platz mit wahnsinns Aussicht und Natur. Staff sehr nett. Gibt alles was man braucht (Müll, Wasserentsorgung etc.). Ein Stern abzug, da die Duschen lauwarm sind und sehr wenig wasser aus der Brause kommt, also mit langen Haaren dauerts…

Mooie camping met uitzicht op zee, prachtige baai met hoge golven. Je moet deze camping echt ruim van te voren boeken in de zomer, anders hebben ze geen plek. Douches en wc’s waren okay en ze serveren ontbijt, koffie en er is een leuke kun waar je kunt eten.

Auch ohne Reservierung bekamen wir noch einen Platz mit Strom, allerdings „nur“ in der zweiten Reihe, Ausblick auf die Küste dennoch schön. Künstlerdorf und Strand mit dem Rad gut erreichbar. Mit Baby wurde uns die Familiendusche von der Betreiberin ans Herz gelegt, die freie stank aber nach Urin, weshalb wir sie nicht genutzt haben, die andere war leider lange besetzt.

Nous sommes arrivés à l’improviste. Il restait deux places dans une proche de laisser un dans l’arc de cercle. Il y avait de l’électricité ce que nous recherchions. Toutes les installations sont propres. Nous en avons profité pour faire les vidanges et le remplissage d’eau. Le plus désagréable étant la stéréo non synchronisé entre la mer et les moutons. ?

Beautiful location! the staff were lovely and always helped in making sure you had a good pitch! we booked one night and extended to two nights. walking distance into the village and very close to the zip line and smoo caves (driving/cycling distance). would go back!

Breathtakingly beautiful. Laundry room, which is a massive bonus. White sand beach, which looks like it belongs somewhere tropical and crystal clear water. The people that work here are lovely, too. Taking a star off as the showers aren't great, not powerful at all, and lukewarm.

Sans réservation, nous craignons que le camping soit complet compte tenu de sa notoriété dans la région. Arrivée vers 13h, plusieurs emplacements étaient encore disponibles. Site exposé au vent mais la plage en contre bas est fantastique peu importe la météo ! Zéro midge. Beaucoup de monde mais camping bien géré, sanitaires propres et douches familiales très pratiques avec des enfants.

Conforme aux autres commentaires. Emplacement génial, propre, calme et avec une super vue sur la baie. Prévoir quand même des cales.

Fantastische plek. We stonden aan de rand van de klif met onbewolkt weer. Echt prachtig. Ook prima uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen langs de stranden. Voorzieningen ook dik in orde. Fijne plek en geweldige omgeving.

Schöner Campingplatz mit direktem Zugang zu 2 sehr schönen Sandstränden. Freie Platzwahl, Frühstück erhältlich & Pub auf dem Platz. Ruhig in der Nacht. Gute und genügend sanitäre Anlagen. würden def. wieder kommen. Wir reisen in einem umgebauten Kastenwagen.

Tolle Lage, wenn man einen Stellplatz direkt an der Steilküste bekommt. Sanitärbereich ok, die Bar am Platz einen Besuch wert.

Wir standen hier für eine Nacht. Super Aussicht auf den traumhaften Strand. Es gibt ein neues Haus mit Familien- und Unisex Duschen. Die Toiletten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Gute Ver- und Entsorgung, nettes Personal. Wir haben ohne Reservierung im Juli einen Platz bekommen. Man kann schön mit dem Hund am Strand entlang laufen.

Top Lage!! Sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber. Einen Halt auf jeden Fall wert.

super vue mais quand on ne prend pas l électricité on doit aller sur l Herbe avec un camping car de 8m tu choisis ta place mais la dame vient te voir et te fait changer de place sinon tu prends l électricité en plus pas commerçante banakeil craft village c est nul il n y a presque pas d artisanats (6) c est du petit bricolage et le village est moche on dirait des constructions modulaires.

Rien à ajouter c’est vraiment le top du top. Sanitaires très propres, vue incomparable, places en pente, prévoir des cales. Essayez d’y aller même si plein sur le site car il y a beaucoup de place.

Platz ist sehr beliebt und belebt, nachts aber ruhig. Rezeption freundlich, alle Services vorhanden, Spar Markt mit super auswahl in Laufnähe, Pub nebenan, mit Pizzaservice. Camper stehen dichter als sonst üblich. Wenn es regnet, würde ich nicht auf den neu mit weißem gravel ausgelegten Plätzen parken, das saut den Camper ein.

Windy. Nice enough site, certainly big enough and well-serviced, especially the buttie van for the morning breakfast. Great idea. Not overly impressed with the owner ( as at summer '22) who gave the impression he didn't really want to be there or have to deal with people, but other than that is a good site.

Alles vorhanden was man braucht. Reservieren empfohlen. Die Lage ist einmalig mit Zugang zu einer tollen Bucht. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Würden definitiv wieder kommen.

Vriendelijk, grote mooie camping met prachtig zicht. Proper sanitair, een ontbijtbar, een pub en je kan er pizza verkrijgen. Een aanrader om er even op adem te komen.

Les douches et wc sont propres et bien entretenue, nous avons payé 22 livres la nuit sans électricité pour un van a 2 personnes, et profiter d'une splendide vue sur l'océan depuis notre emplacement.

Honestly this spot is golden if you’re in a little camper and don’t mind a slope and close neighbours. I arrived at midday and paid £11 for solo little camper - only instruction was “anywhere that isn’t a sign posted spot” so I went down onto the grassy hill overlooking the bay. By mid afternoon two big campers had parked next to me (very close) and as the afternoon goes more are coming and parking on top of each other. It’s a squished but honestly for a small price when there’s hot showers, laundry, washing up and toilets…

Dont book here unless you want to be crammed in like sardines, vans really close, 14th june no EHU left at 15:00 didnt bother us, we paid £22 to enter and told where to park, the area left was very sloppey and a lot of vans very close together, we found a space and tried to level up, we couldnt, tried another space, more vans arriving, there was not a decent space so went back to reception

Spectacular views. We weren’t able to book in advance so arrived just after midday - all electric spaces were gone but we had our choice of pitch in a field overlooking the beach. Possibly the best view of our entire NC500 trip. Plenty of showers and a breakfast bar offering hot breakfast rolls. Wished we were able to stay for longer than one night.

Very large campsite, close to local amenities & right on the cliffs. Short walk to the beach & good sea views from all pitches. Facilities clean but can be quiet a long walk to the toilets and/or showers depending where your pitch is.

The view is unbelievable! We showed up around noon without a reservation (as all the booking for electric hook up were sold out). Got to stay in a grass field with great view on the sea without electric hook up for just £22. Facilities are ok. £5 for laundry, £3 tumble dryer, laundry tablets sold at reception for 40p each.

Came for one night, ended up staying for two! There are terrible sites, in unremarkable locations, charging twice as much as this place! Brilliant well kept site, friendly staff, excellent service point, amazing beach. Great breakfast bar. Pizza place practically on-site...not quite authentic Italian, but all freshly made and great to see the young ladies running it! Support them and enjoy.

Amazing views. Steep but quick path to beach. If fully booked online firstcomefirstserved spaces available at noon daily - we arrived 2pm on Wed & had one of the last electricity spaces. Pub 5 mins walk- open 4-10pm each day & also pizza takeaway- can be eaten in pub or in van. Hungarian receptionist very friendly-unfortunately do not know her name! breakfastbar on site great&reasonably priced

Great views. Showers very spacious and clean. Laundry, toilets, pot washing, unisex and family showers. £35 for 2 adults and one disabled adult with Motorhome. We didn’t book and was plenty of room when we arrived around 4.30. You can book if you want to. Close to Smoo Cave, zip line and Cocoa Mountain

Great site for doing NC500. Level pitches over looking sea. Facilities were a little dated but clean. Hot sandwiches can be bought in the morning. First come first serve for pitches so get there for 12 to avoid disappointment as not much else about. Balnakeil Beach not too far and definitely worth a visit. Would stop again.

A short run from Tongue, but we wanted to make the most of a beautiful day. Have a go on the zip wire nearby. The site deserves it's reputation as a top spot on the NC500. At £22 non EHU it's great value. Worth a walk to Balnakeil Bay and a hot chocalte at the cafe nearby. Local Spar well stocked.

managed to jump in last minute for a pitch! It was one of the more pricey options out of the ones we’d stayed in along the NC500 (although this was just by a matter of pounds, they average anywhere between £25-£35 for campers with hook up) our pitch was perfect! Just overlooking the beach. The only thing that let it down was that the facilities were on the complete opposite side to where we were.

Incredible. Decided to pay for a site mid trip and so glad we chose here! Great clean facilities and one of the most beautiful views we’ve ever woken up to! £30 2adults, motorhome w/elec. Lots to do locally & friendly site.

Clean place. we used it to clean the toilet and refill with water. my only issue is that they charge 12 pounds for using the facilities. but no complaints regarding the place at all

Absolutely perfect. Cost £22 for a motor home and 2x Adults. All services on site were clean. Washing machine cost £5 and tumble dryer cost £3 all in pound coins. Fantastic view, and right next to Smoo Caves. The local Smoo Cave Hotel has a great little bar and does simple but tasty bar food. Highly recommend this place.

Great campsite in a great location. Many pitches overlook the beach. Facilities are good and clean with a large number of unisex showers and family showers. Breakfast Kitchen operates 8-10am serving hot rolls and drinks. Worth visiting Balnakeil Beach just a 30 minute walk. Will return to and would recommend. Booking recommended for EHU.

Great campsite with all you need, accommodated us very last minute. Particularly liked that there were family bathrooms, well thought out. Everything very clean and all the facilities you would expect. Great pitches with beautiful views and a viewing platform, shops next to the campsite and a cafe, pub and restaurant. Also very close to Smoo cave, 10/10 would use again.

Stayed here last night, pulled up on the off chance they’d have a pitch for us, and they were brilliant. Great pitch with a front row view of sango bay. Great facilities, good sausage sarnie to set us up for our day. Lovely walk on the bay bay specially if you have a dog and it’s a short walk away from Smoo cave. Highly recommend.

lovely wee site lots of pitches for both hook up and non hook up,we timed it right and got last couple if hook ups so advance booking ideally but lots of space if you don't want to hook up, facilities are really good, nice and clean. The views are stunning as well with some pitch's facing the sea

£20 for the night, very friendly and helpful staff. We managed to get a spot right at the front looking out to sea, absolutely stunning! Got showers (not hot, but just warm enough), toilets, laundry etc, all kept and maintained well! Would definitely recommend stopping here.

Absoluter 5 Sterne Platz. Mega Aussicht. Guter Preis. Super Ausstattung und schöne Gegend. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass es relativ wenig Sanitäranlagen gibt, wenn es voll ist. Aber wirklich ein super Platz

Die zwanzig Pfund sind hier bestens investiert. Gute Möglichkeiten zu duschen, Geschirr zu spülen und zu schlafen. Wir haben hier Mitte August Polarlichter entdecken können. Ein einmaliges Erlebnis!

We got here late and hadn’t book so there was no spaces by the edge for the good views but found a spot in the field at the top and we could still see the sea. Great site, toilets weren’t the best but the showers where warm and spacious. Great breakfast roll in the morning as well. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it

Sehr schöner Campingplatz mit sauberen Sanitäranlagen.

Traumhafte Lage, smoo cave, balnakeil, Cocoa Mountain, Spar Markt gut erreichbar! Die Sicht aufs Meer ist der Wahnsinn! Wäsche waschen(5£) und trocknen(3£) möglich! Für zwei erwachsene 20£ pro Nacht im Wohnmobil. Morgens gibt’s es sogar eine Breakfast bar mit Kaffee, Cappuccino und diversen Rolls mit Bacon, cheese etc! Wir haben nicht Reservjert, ohne Strom keine Probleme einen Platz zu bekommen!

Platz in traumhafter Lage. Empfehlenswert ist die Wanderung zur Balnakeil Bay und Faraid Head, sowie der Besuch der Smoo Cave.

Instalaciones limpias y muy completas zona lavanderia, zona para cocinar… camping muy grande con mucho espacio, si quieres electricidad mejor reservar. Vistas espectaculares

Big camping side. Facilities were clean but very cold (May). Not many activities possible around the camping site. There is a little spar shop for groceries. We liked the views and the beach.

Superb location, £26 for VW camper, 2 adults and electric (no awning). onsite facilities were great, no hot water for the dishes though. onsite breakfast bar- we didn't use but great addition. we caught the sunrise at 5:30am down at the beach, well worth an early wake up call. very busy/popular site. managed to get space on the day but would recommend booking ahead if your visiting high season

Really nice campsite with all facilities available. book in advance if you need electricity. Heads up: we came for a wash but it took us multiple machines to get everything dry. owners we're very friendly however and had coins for change.

Great place to stop to empty grey or black waste. Staff were really friendly too. Only giving 4 stars at it was quite pricey at £8 for services only (didn’t include overnight stay).

Only bother if you are staying the night. Closed in winter but you can stay for £12. Expensive for just services though at £9 fill up water.

Great place to stop off if doing the NC500. Is currently closed but still allow you to park out and use electricity and get water/waste drop off. Was £12 for our camper for the night. Facilities aren’t open but there’s a Toilet next to the spar up the road open 24/7 and about a 4 minute walk away.

Decent spot to stay the night. £9 2 adults in campervan with no electric, guy comes round at around 4pm to collect cash(only) seems friendly. There was no toilets or showers 28/12/21 however a free public toilet few hundred yards up the road with shop next to it. Great views of beach. Would be 3 stars bc no facilities but great views

Great stop over, open out of season EHU but no showers or loo’s, grey and fresh water available. call the number at reception pick a spot and wait for them to come round and collect payment. couldn’t be easier. Clean public toilets and shop a few minutes walk away.

Nice site with an amazing spar just a minute walk away, lovely views BUT very windy night and maybe this is just me but I kept imagining my handbreak failing and my motorhome falling down the steep drop ???? probably just be but on a windy night and being so exposed to the wind it’s scary?? would 100% visit again in the summer?

Showers & toilets aren’t open now but you can use the electric, waste, water etc for the night. It’s just £12 which is collected each evening by James. The view is stunning.

£25 for 2 adults with EHU in a VW Camper for 1 night. Great showers, restaurant next to site allows telephone order from 5:30-7pm and collection - nice pizza and scampi. Amazing views and walk on the beach although may be a bit steep to get down to for some.

An amazing stop over! Great for those on the nc500 we paid £20 for the night. Great shower and washing facilities and the beach is incredible! Didn’t get to sample the breakfast as they’d sold out that morning which is surely a testament to its quality! Owners couldn’t be more helpful! We’ll definitely be returning to this laid back site. Totally worth £20!

Turned up without booking on 16/10/2021. luckily we got a spot with hook up and fantasies over the beach. clean facilities open 24hrs. £25 for one night.

Stopped one night, owners lovely & welcoming. Did a wash, £2 for washer £2 for dryer, the owner provided us wish a wash pod. Had food from the restaurant, lovely beach walk just down the hill, right near smoo cave. Gas & corner shop 1min walk, cocoa mountain 20 min walk (lovely hot chocolate!)

Drive ins from 11 am and the host was very welcoming. Within walking distance of Smoo Cave and the beach. Spectacular views and a lovely breakfast bar you can get a sandwich from on site in the morning. Showers and toilets very clean/tidy. Wish I could've stayed longer!

We didn’t book this but we were there for 11am for check in opening. The guy told us he normally has spots free for people who haven’t booked. Toilets and showers were clean and did the job. Lovely little breakfast bar for lovely bacon/sausage rolls and good coffee. Also used the takeaway food service (due to covid) for dinner (ask about this at reception). Would recommend this, great views too.

£19 for two people and a camper van (no electricity) showers were hot and there was clothes washing facilities here if needed. Pub was open in the evening and meals were takeaway only. Breakfast bar was open in a little van by showers from 7am a nice bacon & sausage barm before setting off again. Great place to stop if doing the North Coast 500

£25 for a campervan, 2 pax and electricity. Nearly flat on grass so better with ramps. New shower/toilet building with very hot water and laundry. Pub and restaurant (only takeaway atm) litteraly next door. Great 4G. The icing on the cake is obviously the stunning view!

You pay per person at this place. tent pitch is £9.50 so perfect for solo traveler. tonnes of space. pitches first come first served from 11am. all the best views had electric hook ups which was a shame. facilities good and clean. breakfast bar did me an amazing sausage and black pudding bun in the morning. barbeques allowed as long as elevated off the ground.

Busy at the moment so worth booking ahead! The view and beaches in front of the campsite are absolutely incredible. Two of the best beaches we’ve visited so far. The facilities are good and cleaned regularly.

Got here at 1.30 Motorhome spaces free no ele , walked to smoo caves , from camp site .

Miejsce godne polecenia. Piekne widoki, można wybrać sobie miejsce na ktorym zostawisz samochód i obudzisz sie z widokiem na morze. Dostępne toalety, prysznic, nawet miejsce do umycia naczyń. Miejscowy sklepik zaraz obok, z pełnym zaopatrzeniem. Naprzeciwko sklepiku stacja benzynowa(podejrzana, ale w tej okolicy tylko takie można znaleźć). Miejsce będziemy polecać każdemu.

Beautiful view. Very friendly and helpful staff. Showers were a bit cold but still didn’t stop us using them. Facilities were kept clean. Restaurant, shop and pub on site. Smoo caves in walking distance.

Best overnight view of the trip in our motorhome. Brilliant facilities, we had a lovely takeaway meal from the pub next door and used all the excellent modern facilities on site. Only downside was how windy it was at the end of October as there is no cover which woke us up a few times but no fault of the campsite.

Beautiful scenic coastal views, loads of electric points and chemical disposals. The showers were lovely and warm, really clean ! first come first served out of season, book in season. Owner was a lifesaver helped us fix our van ! so grateful. Very windy. Great place to stop, highly reccomend !!!

Turned up in our camper van with no booking, accommodated with electric (£23/4 a night) overlooking the beach. Showers are very good. Take away via the on site restaurant also great. Overall a great stop over.

The beaches alone make this campsite a winner. It has a family bathroom which is great when coming in from the sea. Also a breakfast bar for a cheeky bacon sarnie. Great stay.

Beautiful campsite with lovely beach views. Got a takeaway tonight from Sango Sands Oasis, lasagne and scampi were both delicious and very big portions. Clean toilets and showers. Balnakeil beach is a mile walk down the road, and you can stop at cocoa mountain on the way for a great hot chocolate! Paid £19 for one night, no hookup, very worth it!

These directions took us to the Sango sands campsite and we could find no evidence of paying car park that this is labelled as. Ended up staying at campsite as all other options nearby very busy. Can’t fault campsite and wonderful views but after driving thru such wonderful emptiness from Melvich we wished we’d stopped overnight somewhere quieter than Durness.

Used their services, didn’t stay overnight. Costs £10 to empty waste and refill fresh.

Didn't stay but worth knowing that it's open year round but the toilets/showed close so it's £9 (Dec 2019) for an elec hookup and use of waste/water. we just emptied and filled up again and paid a fiver to a guy who stopped by to collect - you call a number shown on the building at the entrance. Expensive water but worth it to empty the loo :-) Great views if you do stay but would be very windy so check the forecast!

Haben nicht gebucht und einen traumhaften Platz direkt in 1 Reihe an der Steilküste bekommen traumhafter Ausblick . Womos sind bis gestern Abend spät gekommen haben alle einen Platz bekommen teilweise mit Strom Sanitäranlagen wie immer hier auf der Insel Katastrophe ich glaube, wenn man freundlich ist sind es die anderen auch vielleicht mal nachdenken.... und für das Wetter kann keiner was!!

Enjoyed a lot! Beach is amazing. Arrived at 6 pm and got a quite level tent pitch for our car, no need for electricity. But you need to book before if you need that. And we took the last spot as campsite was full that night. Cute little bunnies everywhere in the evening!

Wir kamen erst gegen 17 Uhr an und wir bekamen keinen Platz. Es war richtig viel los und an der Rezeption erhielt ich die Auskunft, dass nur noch mehrere Übernachtungen akzeptiert würden. Jemand hatte reserviert, keine Bestätigung erhalten und wurde auch abgewiesen. Zum Glück gibt es in der näheren Umgebung viele Möglichkeiten für eine Nacht....?

Décevant. Très cher pour ce que c'est. Camping et sanitaires très moyens. Peu d'emplacements plats avec vue sans électricité.

Magnifique ! Le plus beau de notre périple dans le Nord de l'Écosse et un des moins chers. 18 € pour 2, électricité 4 €. Sanitaires très bien.

Great and very beautiful place in Durness with many hiking and discovering opportunities. The camping site offers a breakfast bar where you can buy rolls, coffee etc. The nearby Pub offers nice food from 18:00-20:30. So far, best facilities if‘ve seen in Scotland (big familiy showers incl. toilet) and very clean. 110% recommendation

Traumhaft schöner Campingplatz, daher auch immer gut besucht! Wenn man Strom braucht dementsprechend früh anreisen oder reservieren. Preis ist mit £13 für die Nacht inkl. Strom schon fast geschenkt!

Beautiful views from the pitches overlooking the ocean. £19 for 1 X adult 1 X child, van and electric hookup. Would definitely recommend. Gets very busy, but lots of pitches.

Super camping. Accueil chaleureux, douches chaudes et toilettes propres. Magnifique vue sur les falaises. Pub attenant, sympa avec Wi-Fi gratuit ! Nuit calme un peu venteuse.
