Très grand parking,calme dans le Parc National des Trossachs.pour des départs de randonnées. Nous n'avons pas réussi à comprendre si c'était autorisé ou s'il fallait un "permit".
Des parkings sont disponibles à Schmerle et en forêt. Sentiers de randonnée et point de distribution de cartes. Table de pique-nique à disposition ; endroit très calme et isolé !
Ce site se trouve dans une zone de camping aménagée. Le camping y est interdit !
Parking is available in Schmerle and in the forest. Hiking trails and map distribution point. Picnic table available; very quiet and secluded location!

Stopped here 30/04/22 was worried about permit but looking at the map in the car park and mentions permits needed further on in the woods so not sure! We arrived late on and had no bother there was another camper there as well!
Yetibeard18/04/2022Stayed here 16/4/22. Plenty of flattish space. No facilities. No signs saying no overnight parking but the forestry commission arrived at 10am to empty bins and litter pick so we asked about whether a permit was needed and they said that this car park is for day parking only and not overnight parking.

Apparently requires a permit to spend the night, motorhomes are not authorized in the forest according to their online guidelines.

Very nice place with picnic table, space for a lot of vehicles. Spots are either flat or close to it. Some hiker traffic in the morning but nothing serious.

Stayed here overnight on a Saturday. Peaceful, calm and quiet. Really beautiful and only 10 mins from Aberfoyle.

Zeer rustige plek, van hieruit kan je heel wat mooie wandelingen maken. Wij hebben er één keer overnacht. Een echte aanrader!

You now require a permit to stay overnight during summer season. Permit can be obtained by Internet but best by phone. It is a wonderful peaceful spot.
