Nous disposons de l'espace nécessaire pour accueillir jusqu'à 6 unités autonomes pouvant rester avec nous à tout moment. Les emplacements ne sont pas délimités, mais se trouvent sur une zone plane et gazonnée immédiatement à l'arrière et sur les côtés du bâtiment. Les emplacements peuvent être réservés avec ou sans branchement électrique et incluent l'accès à l'eau potable et à l'évacuation des déchets. Le site offre un aspect champêtre agréable avec un terrain plat et bien drainé, bordé d'arbres matures.
Veuillez noter que nos installations sont disponibles pour de courts séjours uniquement. Les séjours de plus de 7 nuits consécutives ne sont pas autorisés.
Des places en dur limitées sont disponibles sur le parking de la salle des fêtes mais nous préférons que les campeurs se garent sur les côtés ou à l'arrière de la salle. Veuillez ne pas vous garer directement devant le bâtiment (à gauche ou à droite de la porte d'entrée principale), en veillant à laisser un espace permettant le stationnement des utilisateurs du hall à mobilité réduite. Nous vous demandons de vous garer avec précaution et de ne pas bloquer l'accès aux usagers ou aux résidents de la salle.
We have the space for up to 6 self-contained units to stay with us at any one time. Pitches are not marked, but are on the level, grassed area immediately to the rear and sides of the building. Pitches must be booked in advance and can be booked with or without electric hook up and include access to drinking water, waste and refuse disposal. The site has a pleasant rural outlook with level, well drained ground, bordered by mature trees.
Please note our facilities are available for short stays only. Stays of over 5 consecutive nights are not permitted.
Limited hard standing is available on the village hall car park but we prefer campers to park to the sides or rear of the hall. Please do not park directly in front of the building (on the left or right hand side of the main entrance door), being sure to leave a gap that will allow parking for hall users with mobility issues. We ask that you park considerately and do not block access for hall users or residents. To book and see how to pay please visit
If you are unable to make a bank transfer you can leave cash in an envelope or similar with your name and vehicle number and
post into a box marked Donations which you will see on the hall wall.

Auf dem Parkplatz des Gemeindehauses gibt es begrenzt befestigte Stellplätze, aber wir bevorzugen es, wenn Camper an den Seiten oder hinter dem Gebäude parken. Bitte parken Sie nicht direkt vor dem Gebäude (links oder rechts von der Haupteingangstür), sondern lassen Sie eine Lücke frei, damit Hallennutzer mit eingeschränkter Mobilität parken können. Wir bitten Sie, rücksichtsvoll zu parken und den Zugang für Hallennutzer oder Anwohner nicht zu blockieren.

we are here right now and honestly this is the nicest place iv stayed so far beats any camp site, parks lovely very clean and tidy price £15 money put in the honesty box, I can imagine this being a sun trap in the summer which I wil be comin back to enjoy the sunshine and peacefulness locals all spoken to us and friendly if I could give more then 5 stars I would I wish more village halls did this
Excellent elsan point access. No need to book or enquire as the drop point is right in front of the building with an honesty box above on the wall. £5 to empty. Thank you to the community.
a brilliant stay. paid £15 to stay night with ehu. not much to do in the area but we just needed a top up and empty. why don't more places like village halls do this. £5 for services. £10 to stay night and £15 to stay and ehu.
What a great place to stay! We spent a night here after visiting Aldeburgh. Very peaceful - we were the only van there which as it's winter, wasn't surprising. Parked on hard standing as the ground was very wet & woke to a heavy frost - so pretty. Facilities as described. Would be great if more villages offered something similar.
Stopped here just to drain and fill, there was nobody around but everything was available and clearly marked: drinking water to fill tanks, toilet emptying point with non-drinking water water for washing, 2 types of recycling bins and general waste bins - all clean and tidy so please keep it that way and leave donations in the box.
Fantastic peaceful stopover with plenty of space. the nearby pub is only open Thurs - Sunday so we cooked our own dinner and sat in the sun. £15 with EHU is such a bargain. Stayed here for one night after visiting Orfordness.
Great stopover in a beautiful village a couple of miles from Rendlesham Forest and 5 miles from Orford. £15 pn Inc EHU. Fresh water point. Oyster PH 2 mins walk where they do two portions of fish and chips on Friday evening for £20.

Lovely place, easy to book on the phone and paid via bank transfer. Plenty of electric hook ups. Dog friendly Pub a two minute walk with great food and great staff. Overall pleasant experience.

So peaceful and quiet a site. Able to park at the hook up to the rear and had a beautiful dawn to wake up to facing East onto the common. Beware the nearby pub is seasonal and only opens Friday-Sun in off peak winter.
Great place to stay. Level grass pitches with electric. Friendly, tranquil atmosphere with open views. Good location with Sutton Hoo 10-minute drive away. Local pub, a few minutes walk away.

Spent one night. Lovely and quiet. The booking site will not allow you to book on the same day after noon. Called the number on the web page. Friendly people v helpful. Took our name and reg number. We left £10 in the donation box ( no EHU used). 4 other vans here. Lovely level pitch around the back. Fab place will use again. Thank you. Please respect places like this
Quiet rural spot at the village hall £10 need to book but their is a donation box if you happen to just turn up. Pub close by walking distance would definitely recommend.
A must if you are in the area!! We wanted to stay somewhere local as trying out our camper for the first time. Easy to book on the Butley Village Hall website & transferred the money which we thought was great value. £10.00 or £15.00 with EHU. Arrived to only a few campers & had a quick walk to the local. Great beer & food. The site has a bottle bank, bins, water & EHU. Quiet spot. Wilsons & lab

Really great. Me and my three kids have been solely wild camping on this trip in our van but we emptied the toilet, filled the water and connected up electric to the mains for the night. There was even a park for the kids to play. And... thought we were going to be disappointed that the local pub was closed, but... they do a take away menu so got food and ate it in the van with a film!! Result!!

What an excellent and safe place to stay - even if not staying a donation allows you to empty waste / toilets, fill up with water. Quiet location. Excellent spot for walking / cycling / hiking. EE excellent signal. Vodafone - rubbish signal and 3G only. 3 pin EHU - bring a long cable in case you cannot park close. Parking is on the grass which is mostly level. Some parts you might need blocks.
A gem of a stopover! Booked online via website and paid in advance via online banking. £10 per night without EHU, £15 per night with EHU. Bins, chemical disposal point, fresh drinking water, grey waste. Dogs allowed. Flat tarmac car park in front of village hall. You can use facilities if not stopping over for £5 cash in the honesty box.
Superb camping experience...and just one minute walk away is a cheerful pub 'The Oyster Inn' (Fabulous food, great value, 5* pub) A real must visit!!!!!
Would definitely recommend this place. We phoned the number on the p4n site and spoke to the village hall secretary to book and pay. Very quiet. Only one other van when we stayed. A gem of a place. If only more places like this

Stayed here for one night. Details are on the Butley village hall website. It’s a very quiet location with children’s play park. Stayed on a Tuesday and the local pub was shut that evening. Would definitely stay here again.
Great spot, really peaceful and with lovely walks nearby. We stayed overnight Friday and the site was being used by Duke of Edinburgh students from 9am Saturday but the manager was really accommodating. Would recommend booking/phoning ahead at weekends because of this, but really easy to book/pay. Would definitely use it again.
We only live an hour away and have used this place twice for 1 night. Recently just got a puppy and wanted to see how he reacted to van life. This place is awesome, very quiet and for £10pn you can't complain(£15pn EHU). Close to Rendlesham Forest for walks and biking. I wish other village halls were this accommodating.

This is a gem. Has all the necessary mh facilities. Even separate taps for toilet flush and for drinking water. We easily paid via BACS. Quiet.
With services ( no showers or toilets) for £15, very quiet. we turned up later than expected so we turned up in the dark, there was lighting in the car park so managed to get services plugged in. electric, waste disposal and freshwater. we were joined in the morning by another camper who had previously stayed. would definitely recommend

If you want a quiet stay we'd highly recommend it here, and although we didn't make a visit, there's a pub within 5 mins walking distance.

Everything you need in a lovely part of the world. Peaceful, nice rustic play area for kids and good pub nearby for the rest of us. Treat with respect……we need more communities to provide similar facilities! Geoff

A lovely quiet, peaceful stopover that reminded us of a French Aire. Good facilities to service the van and EHU at the front and rear of the hall. Online booking now available via their website, payment by BACS. I phoned the helpful Secretary to book. There's an honesty box to pay in cash if you just need to use the services. Well done Butley - other villages take note!
Stayed overnight January 2022. Parked on field next to village hall. Paid via bank transfer after calling phone number on front door. Quick and easy. Pretty spot and very quiet. No-one else staying that night. Excellent pub 2 minutes walk away. Make sure you take a torch !!

This site is a great find. With EHU £10 a night. We parked behind the village hall on grass overlooking meadow. Very peaceful. Two other vans the first night. None the second.
Family with 2 kids under 10 years. lovely place to stay had a quite night, play ground for kids. Pub 5min walk up the road £10 for the night with electricity, water and elsan point.
