Stopped to take dogs for a walk in the woods mid journey. Used condoms and empty drug bags on the floor as well as other rubbish. Fairly sure it could be a dogging site. Definitely wouldn’t feel safe staying here. Didn’t walk dogs for long as worried what they might pick up off the ground.
After spending the day at this park up KINGS WOOD , meeting local people out walking the dog and families out with the kids , I thought what a beautiful place it was , that was until being woken up at 2.10 am by a car of youths male and female parking right next to me and sounding the car horn at least six times , they threatened to take my waste water carrier , feeling very intimidated we left
Great spot for the night, lovely woods for dog walks..not quite flat but acceptable. up to now we are the only ones here
un sitio ideal si vas con perros sobretodo. tranquilo y sin ruido.
Great place to camp for the night if you have a dog as the woodlands has an excellent trail. We were the only people camping, however vans and cars did come in throughout the evening, but stopped about 11pm. Would park here again.

The spot is nice and easy accessed but probably felt more on edge then most spots, lots of people coming and going, cars coming in turning around and leaving (presumably was hoping it wasn't occupied) groups of teens coming in night and being off a main road ect, but a lovely woodland to look around in morning
Sehr ruhig, keine Vorkommnisse, haben hier eine Nacht verbracht. Keine 5 Sterne wegen zu viel Müll überall trotz den vorhandenen Mülleimern...
I've stopped here a lot. Mostly peaceful, even with the busy road nearby. Fairly level. Access to the carpark is broken up with big potholes, but driving slow you should be OK. Occasionally groups in cars with fast food wrappers dumped. Sometimes arrive to a pile of fly tipping.
Beaucoup de place et parking bien nivelé, donnant directement sur la forêt. Dommage cependant que le lieu soit si sale, et coincé proche d'une route passante, d'une ligne de train et d'un aéroport (bien que peu de trafic de train et d'avion la nuit). Quelques jeunes le soir, mais les locaux sont plutôt accueillants.
Le : la jolie forêt, idéale pour se promener. nous avons vu un chevreuil. Le - : le bruit. Route passante à proximité, même la nuit.
Route très passante juste à côté et de temps en temps un avion de ligne au-dessus de nos têtes. Vraiment pour dépanner

Endroit top ( juste entendu un avion ce matin ) . Lieu où les gens vont promener leur chien d’ailleurs possibilité de faire une chouette balade avec les enfants dans le bois à côté . Il y a une poubelle de disponible.

Stopped here to catch up with sleep on drive up from Kent to Inverness. Next to a busy rd and as someone else mentioned near airport. I managed to get asleep in the daytime despite the noise. A carpark in woodland, no facilities and probably quieter at night.

Thank you everyone for this great find. Stopped for dinner at 1700. Great walk through Kings Wood with the dogs decided to stay the night as it feels so good here.
een rustige parkeerplaats aan de rand van het bos, s'avonds kan er wel wat lawaai hinder zijn van vliegtuigen door de nabij gelegen luchthaven. ook werd de plaats s´avonds gebruikt voor afspraakjes tussen geliefden. wij sliepen hier 1 nacht in alle rust en stilte opweg naar dover.
Great little spot. Lovely walk in the woods, we were not disturbed at all and the only ones here. Next to a road so road noise around 6.30-7am but otherwise a great little spot. Only has bins and no other facilities.
Pretty decent spot hidden along the road. Lots of potholes but relatively flat and loads of space. Great 4g signal. No problems in our xl wheelbase. Really pretty area with nice walks. Close to robinhood airport so planes can be loud. Definitely a dogging hotspot so if people flash their lights at you it seems they’re signaling that they’re game.
Good place to stop, very shaded by trees. No satellite TV or solar possible, but cool shade on hot days
Defo a good site. Stayed on a Tuesday night also going through to Scotland. Only vehicle here and a good place to walk your pooch.
Dodgy spot , bothered by doggers Friday 20/08 had to leg it after one torch wielding weirdo approached us , laughing that we planned to camp here , told us was top dogging site for bawtry and a few cars thought we where there for entertainment, beware here shady men in dark some return like stalkers, search google he said , he was right
We had planned to stay at the nearby Ship Inn, but there was a rowdy bunch staying there too. so we found this little gem by accident. What a great find!
Just used as a half way stop on way up to Bonny Scotland. It was perfect. only 5 miles from A1. nice and quiet and pretty flat.
Lovely little stopover for night, bit of road noise but not too bad ,this morning's birdsong was lovely, definitely a little gem of a place.
A lovely quiet wooded area, easy to find and plenty of space. a few dog walkers in the morning but not too noisy.
