Go to the next parking, Headland carpark, few hundred metres further up (before Redcar). No height barriers and according to locals you can stay overnight as the machines don't work. Apparently been this way for a while. little food/coffee truck parked there and access to the beach. We only stayed to give the dog a run, but great place to stay
It was a superb place to park..but councils throughout the country are putting barriers on this one is no exception. We parked the odd day and night for over 20 years alas no more . They will ban wild and free camping altogether the way things are going..

Hight barriers fitted only because of some dirty mh users dumping chemical toilet waste. No excuse as there are toilets on site. Same reason why alot of other sites are being closed off to mh users. Dirty few spoiling it for the majority, disgusting.

Juste faire attention aux nids de poules et flaques d'eau // Just watch out for the pot holes and puddles
