Very peaceful night. Other vans parked up and a few big Lorrie’s but such a quiet sleep.
Grand emplacement, utilisé par les plaisanciers, les planificateurs. conducteur de camion. Endroit bien connu mais vous resterez seul et pourrez rester des jours si vous le souhaitez.
Big Lay by, used by boaters, vanners. truck drivers. Well known spot but you will get left alone and can stay for days if you wish.
Big Lay by, von Bootsfahrern, Vannern benutzt. LKW-Fahrer. Bekannter Ort, aber Sie werden alleine gelassen und können auf Wunsch tagelang bleiben.
Very peaceful night. Other vans parked up and a few big Lorrie’s but such a quiet sleep.
Not a bad spot for a night, we arrived late from the north end of the lane and had first hand experience of the pot holes, I’m sure in the day you could avoid these. The road noise quiets down around 10pm and it’s a good night sleep. Off for a walk along the towpath on the opposite side of the canal
stayed here last night, like the other reviews a little litter, other vans staying & permanent vaners, depending on the direction of the wind you can distantly here some trains, beautiful spot by the canal, no bins or any other facilities though but I felt safe & a quiet nights sleep, remember to take your rubbish unlike others
I use this site a lot for work. Yes, it's messy from flytippers. Yes the road has potholes (simple trick is to drive around them - imagine that!). There are a couple of people who live here permanently, never had an issue or felt unsafe. Stoke Hammond has a pub and ship and, it's a short walk away.
A good place for an overnight stay. There were vanlifers and anglers in some of the bays, and it felt safe. The road noise didn't really disturb us and ot drops off overnight anyway and we slept well. No facilities.
Good lay-by right next to the canal. Level ground for parking up. Some mess in places left by previous users/campers/fishing folk but still a good stop over.
Had a quiet night once got later as next to busy road. It is an uneven surface coming into the lay by. Could be muddy if wet by canal. Sadly people have littered lots instead of taking home, which makes it look untidy. But I would stay again as you pull into your own little sections.
Very scruffy, very muddy - the canal is above the road, lots of potholes. Poor 4G reception. The mainline rail track is quite close. There were lots of cars arriving, staying for half an hour, then leaving.
Scruffy but quite ish place to stop a night. Real shame it’s got loads of rubbish as it’s lovely. Rd noise but better in the evening. Saw a tent and caravan looks like they live there? Didn’t feel unsafe so if you just want a Kip it’s ok. Lots of parking but lots of pot holes.
Ideal location and easy to walk along the canal. I had a great sleep. The only negative is that it seems to be a fly tipping hot spot. which is a shame.
Big parking area, but not the cleanest area. Be prepared for pot holes as well. Still, a relatively quiet area for a night or two.
Large lay-by but quite a few off old vehicles parked up there and a fair bit of fly tipping. Did not look an especially nice or secure place to stay overnight.
Big layby, beautiful spots near canal side, some litter left by other people. Left undisturbed all night.
Nice spot by the river. Quiet overnight. Good signal for internet. Can hear cars pass by during the day but nothing too bad. Other vans and campers here so felt safe at night.
Parked up for the night. Lovely view of the canal, and not dirty. Other campers and fishermen here already.
An alright lay-by. Bit messy and a lot of litter and left over rubbish. Arrived after dark and only disturbance was road , rail abc air noise. Enjoyed waving at the barrow boats as we sat and ate breakfast. Not amazing but served it’s purpose for an overnight stop.
Great place to stay for a few nights. A bit untidy but you won't be bothered by anyone and you can watch the narrowboats go by.
Looks like a dump site. Dumped waste everywhere, very uninviting, didn't stay.
Stayed here 2 nights. Quiet overnight. Some rubbish but that’s expected these days with lay-byes. Fantastic walk to Leighton Buzzard along grand union canal. 5 miles each way.. but there are pubs in route if you’re thirsty. boaters and walkers were friendly. Absolutely no problems at all.
Nice long layby with shady tree cover, not too much rubbish when we here and although the ground is a bit uneven it's not too bumpy
Very uneven and enormous amount of rubbish laying around. Decided not to stop as boaters seemed quite annoyed at us stopping.
Can be noisy in summer, shops not far. Boatyard let's you fill up with water if you buy something from the shop
