A width restriction is met with now car parking charges a very uneven and noisy carpark, great for paddle boarding and walks along the forest phone signal is none existent and no toilet facilities or waste bins. No overnight stays and anpr cameras in the village with a 3t bridge weight limit.
The area is nice enough, but in the morning (Sunday) at 7:30 a group of dog runners came, and the noise was insane. Those people made their poor dogs so stressed, they barked like hell. Place got very busy, too. No signal at all. All over a beautiful spot, but not on a weekend.
please be aware the forestry commission have now placed concrete blocks in the entrance to the site restricting access to vehicles of 2.3 meters or less meaning larger motor homes, bus or lorry based conversions will no longer be able to access the site although this should not effect van conversions and smaller motor homes.
One our our favourite spots of all times. Always a bit busy during the day, but not many people stay overnight. Infinity of walks in forest, around the river etc. No facilities, mostly no signal (vodafone) - great place to escape civilisation!
Sehr schöner Ort mitten im Wald. Wir haben hier eine relativ ruhige Nacht verbracht. Allerdings ist Campen nicht erlaubt. Es waren trotzdem einige Camper und sogar Leute mit Zelten da. Wird wohl eher geduldet. Die Toiletten waren geschlossen. Bei der Anfahrt mit größeren Fahrzeugen sollte man beachten, dass bei der Anfahrt über Santon Downham eine Brücke passiert werden muss, die nur bis 3t ist.
Great little spot by the river!! Lots of walks from here and definitely a great spot for swimming, paddleboards or kayaks

To answer my own question in the comment below I drove here. Decent phone signal (2 Bars/3G on Vodafone). Toilets are closed due to Coronavirus. Very pleasant spot. Rubbish bins available. Drinking water tap is no longer working.
Beautiful spot in the forest, have stayed overnight without issue although I don’t think you’re supposed to. Word of warning though can get “busy” in the evening dogging spot!
