Very busy pub we struggled to get back in for our hook up after we had paid and gone out to a Halloween event . Shame don’t do food after 7pm as it looked good . Couldn’t find the water tap

  • 5/5

Free WiFi, £10 EHU, Free water. Great beers, lots of ciders and a friendly welcome. What more could you want?

  • 5/5

first time we stop in a pub and it was perfect. 10£ for electric and had a couple of drinks. monday tuesday i believe they don’t make food. water, bins, all you need. will be back :)

  • 5/5

Very nice Pub and very helpful staff , Free to park , £10 for EHU , Food Wednesday to Sunday, a bit of road noise !

  • 5/5

Little bit traffic at night but don’t really notice it good friendly pub good beers highly recommended

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night , lovely friendly staff , dog friendly pub . sadly we didn’t get to try the food as pub does not cook on a Monday or Tuesday evening , put drinks were great and great prices to our pubs in Kent . £10 with hook up what’s there to complain about absolutely nothing x thank you would stay again xx

  • 5/5

A brilliant spot, lovely friendly staff, an amazing range of beers and ciders, plenty of room both inside and outside and we managed to park far enough from the road not to hear it much at all until about 7am so had a really good night’s sleep. Didn’t use the EHU but topped up our water tank ok - will pop back in to try the menu on our way back from Scotland.

  • 4/5

Great pub, with very large car park. The 4 Electric hook up points are at the far side, away from the road. Pub does some fantastic cask & keg beers, as well as delicious food. It was our 1st overnight stay in our new motorhome, just to test things out. Great stay, only issue is the road traffic noise from around 5am.

  • 5/5

Brilliant place. Very welcoming, friendly staff. The pub had stopped serving food when we arrived on Sunday but they were happy for us to order a takeaway to the pub whilst we had drinks from the bar. Great play area and lovely large level car park with beautiful garden area. EHU is £10/night if needed. A little road noise but didn't bother us. Saved to favourites for our next trip up north!

  • 5/5

Friendly pub with great beers on inc. non alcoholic. Easy stopover car camping, close to a road so be prepared for some noise. used it to break down a trip from North to South. really ideal level gravel car park with garden adjacent while I didn't use it, EHU is available.

  • 5/5

spot on for overnighter ..couple pints..cheap as chips

Decided to stop here on way home from having towbar fitted in Freckleton, rang to check was OK and to find out when food finished, was informed that no food Monday and Tuesday but welcome to order takeaway or cook for ourselves, didn't have electric as not needed, lovely pub plenty of space and very helpful staff, drinks very reasonable, would recommend

  • 5/5

We stayed here Saturday night! Loved it. Dog friendly. Staff are just so helpful and kind. Good size car park. There are 3 electric hook up points. Park for the kids too. Nice range of beers and ciders and food was lovely.

  • 5/5

Absolutely lovely place, next to a busy A road so some traffic noise parking for motor homes is as far away as they can be, only issue if very light sleeper which I am not. We ate at the pub the food was fab staff very friendly and helpful, a great range of ciders and beers which we thoroughly enjoyed a number of them. It's a great stop over and we will be using again.

  • 4/5

Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were helpful and the pub is dog friendly. We slept pretty well in bottom car park, road noise dies down late in the evening. Will return.

  • 5/5

Fabulous. Delightful staff and lovely locals. Food only on Weds and weekends so as I was there on a Monday just had a pint. Great real ale and cider choice. No one pressing you to buy anything even although I didn’t need an EHU.

  • 5/5

I love Nachos, and I have just had the best Nachos I have eaten, anywhere. Absolutely 1st class. The staff are also the best, and couldn't be more helpful and cheerful. I would definitely recommend, and will return to try more from the menu.

  • 5/5

Lovely friendly pub, £10 for an EHU space. We rang ahead to book and we just missed food (served until 7pm) but we had some drinks instead. Would love to come back as the menu looked great. There is an outdoor toilet that can be used. Tip - make sure you have a long wire for the electric as you may not be able to park right next to the hook up point.

Stayed 1 night £10 for hook up, had a lovely meal in the pub, staff all lovely, very quiet overnight, cant fault it

  • 5/5

Stopped here for a night, pub wasn’t serving food over Christmas but were happy for us to stay for free (without EHU) we stayed for a drink, they have a wide selection of ales, beers etc. there was a a good sized children’s play area on site, and plenty of space to park up in the mostly level car park. There is a little traffic noise from the main road but this died down around 11pm

  • 4/5

A nice pub with cheap grub and a nice selection of pints. Stayed here two nights with electricity. A bit rough but we still felt safe.

  • 5/5

Lovely place... £10 for ehu... Food and beer is fabulous and staff are very welcoming and friendly

  • 5/5

Our first night in the van and luckily ended up at this excellent pub stop. Didn't eat as we arrived too late but fabulous choice of real ale and super friendly staff.

  • 5/5

What a find! Staff so friendly and the pubs has a really lovely atmosphere, also dog friendly! A couple other vans parked overnight too so felt very comfortable. Perfect stopover if travelling on the M1. 10/10.

  • 5/5

what a lovely place to stay booked in for night bar staff very friendly and welcoming defo recommended

  • 5/5

Good place to stop over as it’s just a few minutes from the M1. A bit of traffic noise but not a problem for us as we keep ear plugs for these occasions.

  • 5/5

Large car park, very friendly staff. Didn't need to pay the £5 if not needing a hook up. Just a few minutes from the M1 - perfect!

  • 3/5

Standard local pub car park and rather noisy...the missus don't like it! got here friday tea time...pub busy and a few campervans here for the night...didn't stay just had pint and moved on.

  • 4/5

Nice pub, flat parking, good surroundings. Giant shoe and crystals.

  • 5/5

The food is excellent, fish finger muffin is the best ever with proper homemade chips

  • 5/5

Great stop over, very welcoming and if you like cider this is cider heaven over 20 to choose from, definitely call again

  • 5/5

Lovely welcoming stop over. Great selection of beers, facilities for pets, electric hookup all for £5 for the night. Love it would stay again.

  • 5/5

Fantastic food and a great selection of craft ales, £5 for the night and £5 for the EHU.

  • 5/5

Great site for a quick stop close to M1 J29a, some hook ups available, great food when available (covid), superb ale selection on the doorstep to the Peak District

  • 5/5

A great stop off of your heading north on the M1. There was no food on when we stayed, so can’t comment (we will be back to try it) we just had drinks outside, the real ales that I sampled were excellent and reasonably priced. £5 for hook was also an added bonus (only two available so best to book). A nice area to walk your dog was a great benefit. I highly recommend this as a pub stopover and will return when heading this way again.

  • 5/5

Brilliant Site..They have 2 places that cater for hook up but usually ok to turn up. Wonderful place to stop for food. Peak district within 3 miles.
