Endroit super sympa, très belle vue sur l'eau, très calme et sans bruit la nuit. Quelques boutiques et pubs a côté. Très populaire l'été, ne pas arriver trop tard (on a pris les dernières places a 19h). 10£ la nuit à payer une fois garé avec le QR code, très pratique.

AVOID! Lets you pay the £15 fee but does not reserve a space for you. An absolute con and has grief written all over it. We turned up a few minutes after booking but all spaces were full. Just after we arrived 2 further vehicles pulled up, also having just paid. Happy to take your money but chances are there’ll be nowhere for you to park/stay!!

Lovely spot. Quite night, had good food in the pub 5 mins away and breakfast in the cafe next to it in the morning. Would recommend.

Toilets a 5 minute walk into town. Great location to watch the boats going through the locks.

ruhiger Platz mit schöner Aussicht auf den Kanal. Leider kann man die öffentlichen Toiletten nicht nutzen (es bedarf einen Code) und die Mülltonnen sind komplett überflutet und eigentlich den Schiffsanlegern vorbehalten

Parkgebühr 10 Pfund, schön gelegen. Ein Besuch im Einheimischenlokal "Legion" rundet den Besuch ab.

prachtige plek bij de sluizen. vlak bij restaurantjes e.d. booking systeem werkte voor ons prima. geen overboekingen gemerkt.

Great location by the locks in Fort Augustus. However, the booking system is a shambles. it allows you to book online and take £15 payment but that does not guarantee you a spot as the space is limited to 4 vans. It would be a simple fix for the online system to only allow 4 bookings but it allows more as there were 2 people who turned up who had booked but no bays left!!

Booked a pitch here last year. We arrived with another campervan. we both pre booked but there were two Euro camper vans in our spots. they refused to say if they were booked and refused to move. we both phoned the highland waterways and despite workers there at the locks they refused to do anything about it as they said the workers were too busy. AVOID!

Great spot on the lock! Very close to shops and eateries. Has a lovely Chinese here. It was a very peaceful nights sleep. All 4 spots taken by 7pm. Would definitely recommend!

Great spot in the village. Only £10 per night, you can only stay 1 night. Close to all amenities, although 5 min walk to public toilets. Great pizza just a couple minutes walk away!

Ruhiger Stellplatz an einer Schleuse. Bezahlung nur über die App des Betreibers möglich. Funktionierte aber irwie nicht. Unser Tipp: Rückfahrt nach Inverness über die B 82, tolle Strecke! Geht rauf und runter, kurvenreich. Nicht so stark befahren, deshalb kann man die Aussichten auch besser genießen.

Great stop, it was full up by the afternoon came and more turned up later on and into the evening. The lock side inn is good for a pint and food is good. Would highly recommend it but get here early.

Great location, just 2 vans here last night. Peaceful nights sleep very quiet. nice just watching the boats coming through the locks. close to cafes and restaurants also washing machines and toilets just across the bridge.

vandaag heeft er een auto de hele dag op een camperplek gestaan. toen ik de bestuurster er op aan sprak werd ze boos en zei dat ze bij het Canal werkt en recht heeft om er te gaan parkeren. later heeft ze een boze brief tussen onze ruitenwisser gedaan en schrijft dat campers alleen van 18.00 tot 10.00 mogen parkeren. dat staat echter nergens vermeld. ook niet op de reservering. site.

Lovely stop off for the night for only £10, which goes towards the upkeep of the canal and local facilities. You’ll need to get here early as there are only four Motorhome bays. We watched a man put a chain across the road whilst we were there to stop free loaders from abusing the area as they’ve had enough. Let’s respect these places so we can all enjoy them otherwise we will lose them for good.

Paid for a pitch but there was already 4 there so had to move on to Loch Ness caravan park just along the A82. We parked up there no problem and it has all services for the van. However we took the dogs for a walk and passed the canal top Loch and to my horror there were 8 parked there and I'm furious. They also can't read the sign that says no parking past the sign.

Unable to stay overnight as it was already full - unsurprisingly, it’s a beautiful spot. Managed to fill up with water, super easy as very accessible.

Fort Augustus is a very pretty village/town and this little aire is a brilliant stop. You wake up next to the water with a mountain backdrop, and it's quiet (apart from ducks!) and just lovely. There's a pub, coffee shops, gift shops, fuel, groceries, cashpoint and boat trips all within a 5 minute walk. I totally recommend this aire and this area!

Area di sosta su brecciolino. Vista canale. Tranquilla e silenziosa a pochi passi dal centro e da ristoranti. Pagamento tramite qr code. Massimo 4 van non prenotabile. Consiglio a tutti questa sosta!

Lovely place to stay, you can watch the locks in operation from the nice cafe or choose a pub to sit outside when the weather is good. Somebody ebbed up late on, five vans where supposed to be four and you could see locals scowling and hear the odd comment. Chemical toilet disposal point at carpark up the hill (long stay), warnings of hefty fines if you stick it down a drain

Quiet place to park right in the middle of town. Space for 4 vehicles. 10 GBP to be paid via Scottish canals website. Toilets at the petrol station about 5 minutes walk.

Beaux emplacements, eau à disposition, belle vue sur le canal! Commerces et restaurants proches (classique et fish and chips) Croisière sur le Loch Ness a 500 m. Calme !

This place is lovely. Sadly there are a lot of people who either can’t read or ignore the signs. We were the 2nd people to arrive shortly followed by 2 more, which is the capacity for this place. On our return from our meal another 4 MH had arrived. Goodbye beautiful view! Also it may be tricky to leave as so packed in. My feeling is that they also won’t have paid as there are QR codes on the posts for the 4 allocated spaces that I doubt they could see. Sorry for rant but if folk behave like this then Scotland with go the way of the UK and there won’t be the option to park anywhere other than in soulless caravan parks!

Ottimo posto. Pagamento con carta di credito. Villaggio vivace. Spazi ampi anche per mezzi lunghi (noi 7,34) e nessuna difficoltà per l’entrata.

It was worth the £10 charge (vis app) for spot. Quiet and water available. We arrived at 7.30pm and went looking for a meal with child and dog. Only restaurant who would allow child after 8 was the Chinese.

Nice walk down to the lock. Plenty of restaurants, pub. We had a quiet night.

Hand standing pitches beside the lock. Very quiet. We had a very peaceful night. £10 payable of app with a quick scan of the QR code. Onky 4 spaces available and they were all full by 5pm. There is another approved MH place by the Bridge of Oich if you cannot find a space here. Very lively village to walk through. Water tap now available.

stayed one night, really quiet, easy to book, toilets round beside petrol station if needed.

£10 per night with 4 bays available. Scan the QR code at each bay and pay via Scottish canals. No electric or water but there is bins for rubbish. Really quiet at night and great views of the canal.

Depuis le 13 octobre 2023, il est désormais possible d'y passer la nuit..contre un paiement de 10 Livres, en scannant le QR code sur l'affiche de stationnement.(voir photo N°4) Seulement 24h autorisé.

Wir haben oben beim kostenlosen Parkplatz zur Stadt Besichtigung geparkt. Hier kann man aber Frischwasser tanken!!! s. Foto

Sehr schöner Platz zum parken. Toller Blick auf die Schleusen. Für große Wohnmobile könnte es allerdings eng werden, da die Straße eine Sackgasse ist und nicht alle Parklücken tief genug sind um zu wenden oder sich reinzustellen.

Super parking en gravier proche des écluses et très peu fréquenté.

Fab free place to stop for the day, just drive up Canal Side, past all the '30min only bays' and keep going, you'll end up in the larger gravel area. Loads of space and quiet. Lovely walk down the locks, plenty of food places too.

Petit parking en face du canal calédonien. Très calme. Pas pour la nuit.
