Lay by on side of road, some traffic noise but set back far enough it felt safe. Sunrise over the fields with bird song was beautiful. 10 minute walk to Compton Lock for a morning dip. Friendly cows, perfect morning dog walk. Would come again, locals very friendly.
Beautiful spot with nice footpaths, swim in the stream nearby, friendly locals and pub.
Great for a night on the road - others have suggested it can be noisy but we didn’t have major issues. Close to some houses so feels safe even for someone on their own, and great for us to be able to park with two dogs. Took a LWB sprinter with no issues and space for 3/4 cars behind in the morning for dog walkers
Pratique lorsque l’on sort du ferry tard. C’est une bande de terre pas très large, le long de la route, quelques voitures, le matin. La vue est très agréable au lever du soleil, elle donne sur un joli champ avec un clocher au loin.
Good location and view across a field. Only issue was the road noise and some vehicles coming past quick at night which wakes you up- more than serviceable for a nights stay!
Alright for a night - quite some traffic at night although we arrived late. Many dogwalkers in the morning on the lovely adjacent field, lovely river spot in walking distance. Was quite narrow with our Ducato Van.
March 2023 Lovely spot. So good went back for a second night after a day exploring. The field is fab for walking. The cows are friendly! The Bridge Inn isn’t far away - the location of Victor Meldrew’s demise!!!
Good lay by with nice views and walks near by. Only stayed for a few hours duringthe day. There is on road parking further on that looks flatter. wasn't too busy on a Sunday but weather wasn't the best.
No problems staying here overnight (until 11am) it is on a gentle slope but not terrible, but only 2 hour stay allowed from 9am - 6pm. Lovely view as is next to a cowfield / footpath.
Not very flat. Very busy with traffic driving past in the morning.
Bit of noise from the road but nice and flat and pub/cafe and nice walk across fields
