Terrain plat, isolé de la chaussée par une bordure d'herbe. Aucune installation autre qu'une poubelle. Le ruisseau (Cock Beck) longe le flanc du sentier et émet un délicieux son d'eau courante. Le pub Crooked Billet se trouve à 200 mètres le long de la route et sert des plats et des boissons. Ils permettent également des escales mais leur parking est en pente. Église historique un peu plus loin.
Cock Beck layby. Flat tarmac layby, set apart from road carriageway by a grass verge. No facilities other than a rubbish bin. The stream (Cock Beck) runs along the side of the layby, giving a delightful running water sound. 200 metres along the road is the Crooked Billet pub, good for food and drinks. They also allow stopovers but their car park is sloped. Historic church a short distance further on.
Flacher Asphaltplatz, abseits der Fahrbahn an einer Graskante. Keine anderen Einrichtungen als eine Mülltonne. Der Bach (Cock Beck) verläuft entlang der Seite des Layby und gibt ein herrliches Fließwassergeräusch ab. 200 Meter entlang der Straße befindet sich der Crooked Billet Pub, in dem Sie gut essen und trinken können. Sie erlauben auch Zwischenstopps, aber ihr Parkplatz ist geneigt. Historische Kirche ein kurzes Stück weiter.

A level spot but not very wide, so you have to pull in very close to the trees/bushes. There was one PVC parked up when we arrived; another turned up late at night. Before dusk the road was like a racetrack, with motorbikes flying past. After dark though there wasn't much traffic noise. Mobile signal was very poor. There is a large bin available; please use it and don't leave a footprint.
Für eine Nacht ok. Nachts war es ruhig, ab 6 Uhr wird es unruhig und die Straße belebter.
A perfect off-road parking spot. Really windy night but provided enough shelter to prevent the van from shaking. The road is a bit rough, and with high-level overhanging trees, a few twigs and small branches fell onto the roof, which was a bit of a concern.
simple parking en dégagement le long de la route. la circulation diminue la nuit et reprend le matin, dérangé par le camion poubelle à 7h.
Wir standen eine Nacht dort. Fühlten uns sicher, der Verkehr ist in der Nacht weniger. Der Platz ist leider etwas vemüllt, für eine späte Ankunft und frühe Abfahrt völlig ok. An dem Pub standen 2 WoMo, ich denke, wenn man dort speist kann man dort auch stehen.
Great spot - a lot of litter but it is perfect for it is - stopover on a long journey. A nice little church and field to walk dog.

Very quiet overnight. Busy road at rush hour. Just an early tractor and trailer rattling past on the layby. Deliberate? Anyway, a good place to stop.
As said, a quiet layby. Almosr no traffic during the night, only some early morning cyclists. A good find!
