Lovely spot, view across the beach & good walking distance to the town. It’s free but 20p if you use the app (4pm-10am). There is a sign saying no overnight staying in motorhomes between 11pm-8am, we took this chance as we’re in a transit & doesn’t look like a camper. There were people about till midnight Ian, chatting & teenagers (more so further down the road) but went quiet about midnight.
Great for parking during the day. I paid £1.40 for 5 hours in late November via the online ‘pay for parking’, was pretty windy and rough when I arrived but that died down as the tide went out. Good 4G signal on EE. Police patrol car went up and down a few times and parked up near me, didn’t do/say anything though. I’m in a Relay/Jumper and parked across a few empty bays.
Stop for a break then carried on. Great spot
Bryn Williams Porth Eiros, on the promenade. Elevated car park. Totally free. I stayed overnight misunderstanding a sign on the carpark. Was the next day I realised the mistake but wasn’t challenged. Boy racers up till just after 12, then left 1 by 1. God only knows how they pay for the insurance of their mercs and BMW’s alone - must be many £1,000’s a year.
Don’t stay here… had a rock thrown at the van even just being here around 10 at night just having a chill before moving on, a Saturday night
Free from 4pm to 10am, we parked near to cafe on sea front toilets 100 meters away. Some traffic noise up til midnight but nothing to bad, quiet in the morning with lovely sunrise. Short walk into Colwyn town centre.
Park for the day is £3.50 (over 4 hours) and if you have a car conversion camper there isn't a problem over night. Shop open to 11pm called Family Shopper. with station behind you go up the street ahead of you on the left. Also a 24 hour garage on the top road of the town going out towards Abegele.
