Très bel endroit! Malheureusement infesté de midges et aucun réseau. Nous sommes arrivés de nuit avec aucun midge à l’horizon, la mauvaise surprise du réveil (invasion) fut d’autant plus desagréable! Magnifique départ de balade à deux minutes en voiture avec des toilettes publiques mais parking payant là-bas.
alles voller Mücken (midges). wir sind geflüchtet. im Sommer nicht zu gebrauchen.

Stayed here 15/03/24. Great spot. Level. Lots of room for many units. Very quiet. Just down the track from the Forestry Scotland River Affric parking spot.

Vue magnifique et grande aire de stationnement, ça change des parkings en bord de route. Mais infesté de midges! Bloqués dans le camping-car, impossible de sortir ni d’ouvrir une fenêtre. Dommage car l’endroit avait tout pour plaire…
Endroit très calme, belle vue. Proche des départs de randonnée. Beaucoup de crottes de chien et de midges, nous avons dû manger dans le van.

Nous nous sommes arrêtés pour dormir la nuit avant le circuit du Lock Affric mais beaucoup de moucherons et nous étions tout seul sur l'emplacement, quelques bruits d'animaux qui ont rendu la nuit un peu stressante. Mais sinon l'emplacement est vraiment top, au milieu de la nature et au bord du lac !
Très bon emplacement pour une nuit avant ou après une randonnée autour du Loch Affric ! Très calme et peu de monde même en été !
Not a bad place, beautiful nature around, loch view. No service. The only non-paid or overnight-permitted parking lot around. The only thing that brings my rating to 4 stars is that it's not very intimate to sleep in such a huge open area. I personally prefer smaller wooded secluded spots.
Large flat parking area with space for a lot of vans. Very peaceful with views across the loch. we parked at the back and were very sheltered from the wind last night. NB no mobile signal at all.
Sat nav took us to wrong side of the Loch but once we back tracked and managed to pick up a signal we came across it approx 8 miles down the single track road. A few places off the main track and not in passing places you could also use. We opted to go further along in the largest pull in and it was empty. Plenty of wildlife - even saw a tawny owl sat on the sign! Very quiet and perfect!

V secluded and would have been a fab place for a loch swim if we hadn’t been there during a spell of thunderstorms! Fabulous place for wildlife and the other car parks in the glen are great places for well marked hikes.
Amazingly peaceful night. 2 others here. No facilities and midges only came after 8pm.fine if you keep doors and windows shut. Possible to swim, but bit of a mission to get to the loch (muddy). Water great when you get in. All forestry car parks and laybys along this Glen have "no overnight parking" signs - except this one, which maybe doesn't belong to SFC?
Very secluded old quary with view od the lake. No signal. Quiet night, just stags in the distance.
Nice and secluded when we were there, only one other van. No midges when we arrived, but some appeared the next morning after breakfast. There were clean public toilets at the car park further up the road (less than a mile). Great location for early-start walks in the Glen.
Very spacious, flat and not busy. Midges didn't seem worse than elsewhere - you just have to accept they are part of nature and use nets and repellent. This isn't an official car park - just seems to be some waste ground, probably from earlier construction of the hydro infrastructure in the area. Convenient for start of hikes up the Munros to the north of Loch Affric.
Endroit calme, plat et avec une belle vue. De belles randonnées aux alentours. Cependant pas de réseau et prévoir de quoi se protéger des midges voir rester dans son van.
Beautiful view but we couldn’t even get out of the van ,. It was packed of midges, so we had to leave after a hour cause they would eat us alive?
Assaillis de midges qui réussissent à rentrer dans le camping-car, nous avons fui à 22h15. Belle vue cependant.
Le parking de Glenn Afric étant interdit la nuit, nous nous sommes rabattus vers celui-ci pour une étape. Grand parking, plat avec beaucoup d'espace face au lac. Très belle vue. attention aux midges et aux taons à la tombée du soir Le lendemain nous avons dormi sur le parking de Dog Falls qq km plus bas, au bord du torrent avec des tables de pique-nique. Beaucoup plus agréable
