Un petit parking gratuit et silencieux situé sur la piste cyclable C2C et attenant à plusieurs pistes cyclables sur des lignes de chemin de fer désaffectées (la route Waskerley Way offre une vue imprenable et un salon de thé à la fin!). L'approche se fait à 400 mètres dans une ruelle étroite et l'entrée est un peu agitée mais praticable. Supermarché à 800 mètres de la route en direction de Consett.
A small free quiet car park located on the C2C cycle way and adjoining several cycle routes on disused railway lines (the Waskerley Way route has amazing views and a teashop at the end!). Approach is 1/4 mile down a narrow lane and entrance is a little rough but do-able. Supermarket 1/2 mile up road towards Consett.
Ein kleiner, kostenloser, ruhiger Parkplatz am C2C-Radweg und angrenzend an mehrere Radwege auf stillgelegten Eisenbahnstrecken (die Waskerley Way-Straße bietet eine atemberaubende Aussicht und eine Teestube am Ende!). Die Zufahrt erfolgt 400 Meter über eine schmale Gasse und die Einfahrt ist etwas holprig, aber passierbar. Supermarkt 800 Meter die Straße hinauf in Richtung Consett.

Quite a few pot holes on entering. At about 7 pm there seemed to be a lot of car and van activity (ie) driving in parking for 10 mins chatting to each other then driving off. Settled down to sleep at about 10 pm and started hearing youths running round the carpark with torches shouting and laughing, they didn’t do anything to our camper but we decided not to stay.
stayed there in June. Not the nicest place to stay. A lot of people came for walking their dog or just to sit their and eat fast food and dump their trash on the ground. Would not recommend that place but worst cast a night is o.k.
Stayed here for one night, arrived late in the dark. A lot of large potholes and road to get to it narrow, single track. Very peaceful once settled in, I was only one there . There was Bins but they were overflowing.
We stayed 2 nights a few months ago. Very quiet after 10pm. But kids do get in and dump fast food wrappings, we did a litter pick in front of several dog walkers, always goes down well. But next morning more crap. But this time dog crap, bagged and left, hung on trees, what’s that all about.
Kids get in on a night and rubbish it up with macdonalds shit we get the blame
