Grand parking bordé d'une forêt, calme et à 15 minutes à pied du château. Une belle promenade le long du fleuve permet de rejoindre rapidement le centre. Le panneau habituel précise qu'on ne peut ni y dormir ni y cuisiner mais nous y avons passé la nuit sans soucis. Payant 3,6 pounds / 24h. Pas de limite de durée. Se mettre au fond pour ne pas gêner les résidents qui travaillent aux alentours. Max 6.5m avec le porte à faux dans l'herbe.
It’s not possible anymore to camp there over night. But its a nice parking spot for the day (just 3,60 £ whole day) with a very short and beautiful way to the main part of the city. Parking possible from Mo-So 8.00 am till 10 pm.

Grote, rustige parkeerplaats grenzend aan een bos, op 15 minuten lopen van het kasteel. Een mooie wandeling langs de rivier brengt je snel naar het centrum. Het gebruikelijke bord geeft aan dat je er niet mag slapen of koken, maar wij hebben er zonder problemen overnacht. We betaalden 3,6 pond per 24 uur. Geen tijdslimiet. Ga achterin staan om de bewoners die in de buurt werken niet te storen. Maximaal 6,5 m met de overhang in het gras.

kimikiya30/07/202529/07/2025. Han cambiado las horas de uso, se paga de 8 am a 10 pm, 2 horas 1.8 £ y las siguientes 0.8£. Se paga en la máquina con monedas exclusivamente o en la app , que cobra 0.3 por cada transacción. En el cartel indica que no se puede dormir ni cocinar en el aparcamiento pero le pregunté a un Policía si se podía, y se acercó al parking para leer el cartel y nos dijo que si habíamos pagado (llegamos a las 20:30) podíamos quedarnos sin problema. Si llegas después de las 10 no se paga hasta las 8am.
Perdi2xelmundo20/06/2025Buen parking a 10 minutos del centro. Hacia las 6pm vino un policía-vigilante al que preguntamos si podíamos pernoctar y nos dijo que no había problema. Así que pasamos la noche muy tranquilos y efectivamente, sin multa. Eso sí, a partir de las 8am se paga por horas y es bastante barato.

parking proche du centre a 15 min a pied 1.80L pour 2 h mais attention au retour une amende nous était mise sur le pare brise. nous avons du nous garer sur 2 places pour le camping car et nous aurions dû payer 2 places. 25 livres d'amendes si régler sous 14 jours

no longer free from 2pm. spaces small for a 7m camper so had to park over 2, but no ticket. easy access into town

Hab nur hier geparkt. Super, um zu Fuß in die Stadt und zur Kathedrale zu gehen. Nach 14 Uhr sogar kostenlos momentan und sehr viele Plätze frei.

Haben hier nur geparkt. Super schnell im Stadtzentrum. Preise völlig in Ordnung - für 3 Stunde 3 Pfund bezahlt. Parkplatz war gegen 11 Uhr auch noch relativ leer.

Re: Day parking.... Car park was full and very tight to try and manoeuvre a motorhome, we had to reverse out.. more suitable for campers. We used the park & ride £2 pp rtn.

Location is king here, absolutely perfect for a 5 min walk into town. Parking charges as previously stated and its free from after 1400hrs just now. We stayed over night with no issues at all. We noticed that the carpark filled up pretty rapidly from about 6am and was pretty much full by 8am, there are two major building projects ongoing just now, so the parking is used by the builders. Great.

We stayed here for one night, we saw a parking warden as we pulled in and asked him about staying overnight and he said it was fine and we wouldn’t be bothered providing we were only taking up one space. Was a really nice guy who told us it was better in the back corner as we’d be under the light and we’d also be on camera for safety x

This car park is perfect for visiting the city! There were lots of free spaces and we were able to park our 7.5 metre motorhome easily. Only thing to watch out for is if parking over more than 1 space you need to pay for each space. We learnt the hard way and got a parking ticket!!
