(GL54 1AD) Stow-on-the-Wold -

We stayed here for one night and arrived just after 5pm. There were not many cars in the car park at that time. We parked near to the Tesco entrance as we are 6.3 m long and needed to over hang the grass, reversed up against the wall, as the other sections of the car park did not give the space needed. Spaces are not big, but we got all four wheels into the bay. Quiet night sleep.

Quiet nights sleep on a Saturday night. Some spaces in our LWB Crafter were a squeeze to make sure all four tyres were within the marked bay. Some spaces ,which were long enough, had thick branches behind meaning we could not park in them- hence the 4 star review. Highly recommend!

Pour le choix qu'on a dans ce pays qui est quand même très restrictif pour les vans et camping cars, ce spot est pas mal. Oui il y a du bruit on est en ville mais on a passé une nuit calme et on s'est senti à l'aise pour déplier le toit du van, ce qui n'est pas le cas partout....

Perfect place to explore the town. 10 minutes walk away if that. Still 72 hours free. I’m a solo female traveler and felt completely safe and slept really well.. very quiet at night. I have a LWB and there is a grass verge for the rear overhang.. as long as the wheels are in or on the white line bay markings there is no problem, even if the actual nan is a bit larger.

Parcheggio vicino al supermercato e in parte illuminato. Ottimo per visitare la città il giorno dopo. Molto silenzioso, ci siamo sentiti al sicuro.

Car park next to and accessible from the Tesco car park. Car size spaces. No level spaces, we parked right at the bottom near the entrance to Tesco. Here it was nearly flat. Employees see to use this car park so there were some goings and comings from shift workers but not too noisy. You can stay for 72 hours free before having to move on.

Just had 2 nights in this car park in our camper. Sign states cars only we fitted within bay markings so presumed ok. Quiet, no issues, Tesco handy for food and toilets. Arrived late evening and left early morning, presumably car park is busy in the day but only a few cars/vans overnight. Other council's take note bring people back from spending on-line and into the towns and cities again.

I visited on a Tuesday lunch time and the place was rammed. I’ve also spent a week in a cottage just down the road from here and this car park is always busy day and evening. It’s really only suitable if you want to arrive late at night and depart early. Bonus, Tesco and short walk to the market square. 7m would definitely struggle to only fit in one space, 5-6m probably ok.

Sadly it was rammed with cars arriving about two ish on Saturday so moved on there was also a refit going on so spaces taken up by fences

Perfect park up, don't spoil this one people. Free with a tesco next door. we stayed on a Friday night so no noise in morning and quiet at night. 3 others parked up overnight flat spaces and close to stow on wold. Cracking

We loved the location and that it's free to use. However, we stayed on a Sunday night, and there were extensive works being carried out on the superstore. It was very noisy until well after midnight. It sounded like a steam roller was driving around, and loads of pallet trucks were in use. This will only be temporary, so when the construction has ended, it should be much more peaceful.

Great that it's free,especially in this very quaint village, (beautiful ), but there were works going on in the car park,and a road cleaner in the car park at 23.00hrs..so was very noisy!!..but lots of parking,and Tesco on the doorstep.

Perfekter Stop für zwischen durch. Tesco hat bis 11uhr offen und man kann die Kunden Toiletten nutzen. Laternen schalten nachts ab.

Great stopover, nice to see a council allowing people in Motorhomes to stay and spend money in the community. At few spots on the car park will take upto 6.9m if you reverse upto the wall. Probably Best to arrive after 5pm due to people must park cars who work in the town. Quiet from 11pm to 7am. At few vans from Europe also parked over night, good to see visitors to the UK.

Awesome overnight stay! Thanks Tesco for allowing this. It's nice to get a free campover now and then. It can be expensive for people like us from South Africa whose exchange rate is not good. Tesco parking lights stay on but it doesn't interfere with the quiet and the great night's sleep.

Great for overnight, Tesco very convenient for toilets and provisions. Short walk into Stow, which is very picturesque with lots of character and independent shops. Very quiet overnight.

Difficile parcheggiare veicoli con più di 6 metri per il resto è perfetto il market è aperto presto la mattina e chiude tardi la sera il paese dista una passeggiata di 10 minuti ed è molto carino

Great place for overnight. it was quiet, and street lamps had been still turning on when we got there around 11 pm. there is also a small park for dogs nearby. as we entered the parking lot, we passed a police car.

Stayed here overnight. Parking bays near the wall just fit 7m Big Red but moved later to a parking space closer the exit to prevent being boxed in. Tesco great toilet facilities closes at 11pm. Few cars noises in morning but I sleep through them.

Excellent spot to overnight. Toilets in Tesco next door. 5 mins to town. Used leisure centre in Bourton for a shower.

Great gift from the local council to provide free car parking for 72 hours. Toilets at Tesco. Slanted stands but fine for us in 5 metre van. Would definitely use this parking again if in the area.

I was the only camper when I stayed here. It was quite a busy car park next to Tesco but was quiet at night. It’s a lovely town and handy next to the Tesco

Stayed here on a Saturday and maybe considering another night here, you’ve got 72 hours, nice and quiet once the Tesco traffic has cleared. Short walk in to the village with some nice coffee shops. Based on my experience I’d recommend.

Excellent place to park up overnight, suitable for campervans and motorhomes. We stayed in our campervan for one night. It was pretty quiet during the night. Became more busy in the day with cars parked. Right next to Tesco superstore.

Free 72h stay with no restrictions, our 6m long van’s wheels fit just fine within the parking spaces

Zona de aparcamiento gratuita pero no dispone de plazas para autocaravanas, debes ocupar espacio fuera de la plaza, no dicen nada al respecto. Está a tan solo 3 min andando del centro y al lado de un supermercado grande que también dispone de aparcamiento. Para dormir no sé si pondrán problema porque solo estuvimos pasando la mañana

Great stop. Really quiet overnight and near the town. Supermarket loos very handy too. Definately stay again. Free and no height barrier.

Nice, quiet stop over in an area off the side of the local Tesco. The village is a 10 minute walk and is a lovely place to visit.

stayed here for 1 night, a bit of noise from tesco next door. ideal location to visit stow in the wold, just a 5 min walk away. I would stay again.

Peaceful nights sleep, 6 campers parked there when I arrived, majority of campers chose to not stay in tesco car park but the one on the right as you approach.

Exactly as described, had a good night, in our small Talbot, two other vans stayed. A little road noise, Tesco very convenient. A few spaces to give our dogs a little walk.

Parking al lado del aparcamiento de un supermercado Tesco que cierra sobre las 23:00! Pasamos la noche tranquilos, éramos entre 5 y 6 campers o autocaravanas ide todo tipo. Había espacio para muchas más. En el supermercado hay baño que se puede usar si se es cliente en horario de apertura. Importante hacerse la tarjeta club para obtener descuentos en bastantes productos.

Un parking de supermarché…mais bien situé, calme et gratuit!

Free parking for a maximum of 72 hours. The carpark is clean, with several bins available for your rubbish. There are plenty of parking spaces available, with many offering partial tree coverage. Quiet nights sleep. Tesco open 6 am - 11 pm with free toilets. Strongly recommend visiting the beautiful little town only a 5 minute walk away.

Large carpark, starts to clear out around 6-7pm so was able to move van into preferred spot under trees. Very quiet. Tesco toilets open 6am-11pm. Quick 5min walk into town.

Highly recommend. Tesco next door, very short walk into town. Gets busy in the daytime. I was the only van that stayed two nights but was used by others for a single night while I was here.

We stayed in Tesco carpark next door. unlimited stay as long as stay within the parking bays. get tucked in the back corner near click n collect so quiet after 8. no road noise. Tesco open 6am perfect for everything you forgot to bring! Too much slope in carpark next door

Prima plek voor een nachtje. Wel wat hellend en kleine plekken. Tesco is open van 6-23 uur, dus verwacht wel wat, maar wij hebben er geen last van gehad. Voordeel is dat de wc's dus ook van 6-23 open zijn.

Hatten hier eine ruhige Nacht. Wir sind "Längsschläfer", der Parkplatz war gerade richtig .

Just stay 2 nights, we are 7.3m long and we managed to get in within the parking markings.. not all spaces will accommodate a motorhome of this size. You need to be selective with your parking, if you are on the long size I would suggest you get there either early morning or late evening when the car park is less populated. It’s location is excellent…

We stonden op parkeerterrein van Tesco. Na 22.00 uur erg stil. Goed geslapen. Toilet bij Tesco. Gemakkelijk boodschappen doen.

We didnt stay in this car park because there was a large group of travellers nearby at the time (october 2022). Other than that great spot and gets quiet near night time/ early morning. We returned to use tesco facilities in the morning!

Stayed three nights and loved it. We are 5.9 so fitted in the bay perfectly.

super spot. it's not Tesco's car park it's next to it. well lit, free, easy walk into stunning town not a Costa in sight (I don't do Costa). the sort of town where well off guests chat the warm evenings away whilst dining to a backdrop of vintage violin music coming from a corner somewhere. it's safe and lovely and worth a visit. thank you council for allowing campers

Only for Campavan or small motorhome. You must park in bays and they are absolutely tiny. Overall good stay, early morning Tesco so can be a little noise in the morning/night but 5 minute walk from centre and free so can’t complain

Good park up, clean toilets inside tesco however busy theough out the day. you will struggle for parking in anything over 5 meters as they are just car bays.

Good quiet spot. bathroom access in the store until 10pm. felt safe and secure

Stayed here one night no problems a bit of noise from main road but car park quiet after dark most spaces are a little small

Does the job?? Stayed there 1 night in the converted t5. Just a standard car park next to a big Tesco. Perfect for a quick stop overnight. Sign stated could park free up to 72 hours. Abit of background noise from passing traffic etc but otherwise fine.

Stayed here 2 nights Running , perfect little spot ..no problems,no disturbances ..Tesco next door perfect for supplies and loo pleasant location 72 hrs free parking just be sure you park between the lines and not in disabled bays etc and you'll be fine ... a few pictures too. ps . motorhomes will struggle to get into a normal size bay ,but transit/vivaro swb will just about be ok

Perfect for what it is - easily accessible, flat and quiet, totally free. Not the nicest view but great location to explore the village and go on walks!

Lots of spaces, very quiet. Tesco is next door too.
