(HS9 5XR) Borve Camping and Caravan Site

A lovely site, fantastic sea front location, just beautiful! Toilets, showers, water , waste disposal . Although I can imagine the toilets get busy in summer months, as there aren’t many. Donald is a lovely host and they’re open all year which was a godsend for me in February!

Je staat aan een kleine baai. Soms krijg je bezoek van een zeehond. Of je boekt voor een trip naar Mingulay om naar de puffins te lijken. Goede voorzieningen. Ongeveer 4 km noordelijk van Castlebar.

Lovely little site on the shoreline. Unfortunately the weather was wild although the owner said we could move to a more sheltered spot further back. £25 inc EHU. Very clean facilities, well equipped kitchen. Free showers (no timer). WiFi available in the facilities block but it didn’t reach our van. Virtually no signal for O2 anywhere on the island. Owner is very friendly and helpful.

Great stop with laundry, airfryer hairdryer and clean loos. Nice views and a friendly manager. I would recommend.

Fabulous little site. So clean, organised and well kept. Amazing views. Lovely walks from the site and the hotel 10mins walk away was very welcoming. The owner was so nice and hard working. Nothing was a problem for him.

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago - I was actually on a cycle tour but I spoke to a couple of Campervan owners whilst there. Nice clean toilet block which also has a little kitchen with a microwave kettle and toaster as well as a washer/dryer. The block is only small but then so is the site and both are pristine. The guy than managed it, Donald, is also the local postie! Great quiet scenic site.

la claque quand on déboule ici après l'arrivée en Ferry ! emplacements sur l'herbe face a la mer, couchers de soleil incroyables, des dauphins juste en bas dans la baie, toilettes et douches très propres, machine a laver sèche linge, Donald est très serviable, petite balade conseillée au coucher du soleil pour aller voir le vieux cimetière qu'on aperçoit en face.

Peaceful and surrounded by barra famous white sands, the perfect place to escape in a camper and had a wonderful few nights here. The lack of light population at night make for wonderful starry skies, some of the best I've seen.

What can I say? We stayed here over Christmas 2022 in our campervan with our dog. Facilities and pitches are perfect. Location is ideal for Vatersay and Barra’s beautiful beaches. Donald is the sweetest host (he even gave us a nice bottle of Prosecco as a Christmas present!) It’s 15 mins drive from the ferry. We even had WiFi in our van. Donald’s site is truly a jewel in the Outer Hebridean crown.

Très bon camping au bord de la mer. De beaux emplacements bien délimités. des équipements communs bien conçus et propres. Pas de limite pour la douche. 20£ la nuit.

Fantastic is an understatement. Amazing location with the best views.

I can highly recommend this site. Clean and beautiful views. If you camp near the washrooms you’ll get wifi. Wash rooms and toilets are spotless and cleaned often. There’s a fully equipped kitchen if you need and get stuck with your own set up. Washing machine and dryer for only a couple of £1s. Unfortunately the weather was bad but we’ll certainly be visiting again soon.

Perfect view of sea, scenery all round, 1.5 miles to castle bay, clean facilities and friendly staff

great site with great views Donald makes sure everybody is given as much information as possible great host, one night in July 21 £20 for motorhome with EHU 2 adults & dog absolutly spotless worth more stars but 5 is max

Great small campsite by the bay with very helpful owner, clean toilets and showers plus a small kitchen. Cost £10 for a back pitch with a VW campervan.

Great little site just a short distance from the beautiful Tangasdale beach. Friendly welcome from the owner and facilities were spotlessly clean. EHU and disposal facilities. £20 for a motorhome.

An exceptional campsite in location standard of facilities and the welcome and helpfulness from Alan who runs the site. Waking up and going to sleep with the sound of the sea.... perfect! An added bonus is the excellent pizzas made by Joans Pizza just across the way Friday and Saturday nights only to order.
