Great free parking spot next to the river. Flat. Lots of spaces. Toilets opened at 7am / closed at 8pm. There’s a cafe and restaurant close by. We arrived around 7pm and there were 3 spaces remaining. Would recommend.

the best spot I've found in England so far after 2 years of vanlife, very busy had yo wait for half hour for someone to leave to park but highly recommended, gorgeous aera with lovely walks. canal boats chug past regularly in the day and some 10/10 eateries within walking distance, overnight parking allowed and 24hr toilet with a radar key, daytime without. Grey water disposal for boats can use

Great spot for a night, very good toilets and a nice canal side location for the morning. Carpark was quite full even when arriving late at night, just about fit into a space in a mid wheelbase sprinter, anything much bigger would be difficult. No issues at all other than a few planes passing overhead until around midnight

What a excellent little find, came up here to meet our son for a bit of paddle boarding, arrived quite late in the evening as advised, parked with ease, lovely and quiet, planes stop at midnight then return again at 6am, after a while you forget about hearing them. Toilets spotless. (And I’m fussy about where I go to the loo) Definitely will visit again.

Ottimo. Ho un Camper di mt. 7.20 ma alle 19 non c'erano problemi di parcheggio. 3/4 Camper lunghi ci starebbero ma dipende dalle auto parcheggiate. Si può utilizzare lo scarico acque scure delle barche ed i bagni pulitissimi: gratuito. Sicuro e silenzioso. Passa qualche aereo ma la notte silenziosa.

Nice evening and a quiet night spent here. Felt safe. Very picturesque. Watched a boat go through the lock - lovely!!

I only parked up in the day but it's now on my overnight list. if you have a radar key you can access the toilets at anytime and there is hot water! Coffee shop and a cafe very close. Lovely but I'd say only campervans would fit as the bays are normal car sized. Unless I've missed some. there was parking along the road on the way in a longer van would fit in.

Lovely spot, would recommend! Was a little bit noisy until midnight with passing cars and people leaving restaurant etc. Toilets very clean and open till 8/30 ish. No bother from anyone!

Just spent our first evening in our new campervan. Having never owned a camper before we really enjoyed the stay for a few hours to walk chill and cook. Toilets get locked at 20.30, which was spotless. Sanitation station was clean. Plenty of bins to get rid of rubbish. Recommend this place anytime, been there pre camper owning and always liked this little gem of a place

Great location there is a sanitation station in the toilet block near lock.

Very picturesque spot by the river. Although a fiat bit of traffic possibly going to and from the pub. The pub was great, lovely food and staff. We felt a little uneasy but actually had a lovely stay with no bother.

slept here 23/05/22 toilets open all night read previous reviews so I set my bed up in a different location. when I got to the carpark I went for a walk came back and jumped into the back of the van. slept like a log and didn't get any bother from residents in area.

Spent a quiet night by the lock. Arrived after dark and left early, after a lovely morning walk. Had no trouble and after reading the reviews, wasn't surprised when a man photographed our registration plate shortly after we parked. He never said a word and left after that.

A quite spot with free public parking near the Lock. However I felt uncomfortable being there.

Just arrived in this beautiful spot. Absolute gem, until a very nasty antagonistic man told us we are not allowed to stay overnight and he has called the police as apparently we are trouble makers? I have no idea how he has drawn that conclusion. He proceeded to take pictures of us and our van. A beautiful spot but I have to say not very nice residents if they are like him!
