Very handy spot with no facilities. £12 pre booking required

  • 5/5

Excellent by Northumberland council providing a safe quiet place to stay, £12. Designated bay , have to book online 24 hours before. Free to stay outside of the paid hours overnight 6pm to 8am , great place

  • 4/5

Booked it 2 days in advance. £12 good for overnight. flat pitch, loads of bins and only 10 mins walk to amenities. Will stop again. pitch 1 people didn't turn up. pity as other van wanted to stay but couldn't.

  • 5/5

Great spot for overnight in mobile home . Amble is only 10 minite walk plus you have a lovely river walk. enjoyed our one night here .

  • 4/5

decent stop over location, short walk into amble. 3 decent sized spots. a bit pricey for no facilities but flat and easy

  • 5/5

Just day parked to visit the Sunday market. Apart from the 6 large day bays there are a few longer ones but not many. We saw the 3 overnight bookable ones which looked great and easy big enough for 7.3m sized vehicles

  • 4/5

Easy to access, flat bays for £12 per night (one night only allowed) no facilities, apart from waste bins. Few mins walk past marina to town and water front, with plenty of bars, cafés and shops. Few early morning dog walkers and locals using nearby bottle bank, not not really problem and had a good nights sleep.

  • 4/5

easy to get to. quiet overnight. lovely location around. no issues at all. not much around but we didnt look into amble properly and only had a walk to a local pub and back for tea. would definitely stay here again if we needed to.

  • 3/5

Amble is Amble, unfortunately just can’t really see your particular reason to visit here. We booked, but didn’t stay, getting a bit tired of people being parked in the bays, on the scheme. It’s such a palaver. Amber is pretty rough and ready, if there’s something specific in the town you want to see maybe worth it, but we moved toAlnwick, and parked at the howling Lane car park which was free.

  • 4/5

Booked online in advance so great to be able to explore the area through the day knowing where we'd be staying overnight. A car was parked in our allocated space when we arrived just before 6pm, but moved off in the time it took to have a cuppa. Great stop off for dog owners, nice riverside and harbour walk. Short walk to village restaurant and pubs. Quiet overnight.

  • 4/5

We stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend, but didn’t pay, the QR code on the sign we looked at didn’t work, so parked up anyway. It wasn’t until the next day that we realised there were specific spots for Motorhomes with a QR code that worked, oh well we managed to get 2 free nights. 10 minute walk to town for the market and local shops. We had a nice quiet stay, will definitely stay again.

  • 4/5

Costly for a parking bay with no facilities. But definitely cheaper than a fine or campsite. Busy through the day but really quiet at night. Great area for a walk along the estuary into town. All 3 pay bays full, but others just scattered around the area parked up.

  • 4/5

10min walk to centre of amble. Fairly flat. Quiet, dog walking available. Prebookable for £12 a night on Northumberland council website free at all other times up to max of 72hrs

  • 4/5

Great park up but my advice is if you can’t get the QR code booking system to work, then don’t stay here. A Northumberland Parking warden arrived here this morning at 6:10AM and fined a van. There’s posts for 6 Motorhomes, but only 3 legal parking places now. They need to get it sorted. Luckily the parking warden was friendly and reasonable.

  • 4/5

Location is great for Amble and Warkworth. No facilities but that’s to be expected. Lovely local friendly people.

  • 4/5

Great park up, very handy for the town/marina. Some road noise and noise from the nearby recycling area but not too bad. Nearest toilet 10 min walk away. Bays are a little snug but hey, just sleeping here!

  • 3/5

only 3 bays for overnight parking. £12 MUST be booked and paid in advance. We arrived late, very dark, missed the sign. Intended to pay in the morning but was issued a ticket at 7.51am. £50 or £25 if paid in 14 days. Warden very nice though! Nice spot, flat, bins, a bit road noise. Nice little area to wander with dogs.

  • 3/5

Good location for a meal out in Amble. We had a lovely meal at Jaspers Bistro (dog friendly, too). We felt £12 is quite expensive for a parking space. The app showed all the bays but two were booked, but we were the only van there.

  • 4/5

Very quiet about 10mins walk to town. A little dark, needed a torch to walk back after dark. Would benefit from some low level lighting. We were the only vehicle in the car park but imagine it would be quite tight when busy, only six official spaces.

  • 3/5

£12 QR code to scan. Can hear traffic from road. Seems like a dog walking area. Walk a bit out of the car park and you come to a nice walking area along river area. Feel slightly uneasy here as can hear voices and close to town I guess. We are the only campervan.

  • 3/5

Location wise couldnt fault it. However we didn't pay as we were leaving 6am, and a Council worker stopped us and was very rude to my partner. I would go elsewhere as there are no facilities etc so why pay...

  • 4/5

One of the new Northumberland council stop overs. It’s a park for dog walkers, so expect a little bit of traffic in the early morning. There is small bin but no other services. Felt safe and the noise from the nearby road is minimal. I know there are free park ups nearby but we should support these places otherwise the council will ban overnighting in all their car parks.

  • 1/5

NO FREE OVERNIGHT PARKING! I wasn't keen spending £12 a night with no toilet/fresh water (I can get cheaper/quiter on a campsite), so tried parking by the water sports building & over by recycling bins, but the council warden (very friendly & polite chap) said it's ALL council car park, I can park my van for 72 hours for FREE, BUT I have to go sleep somewhere else ha ha, baffling!!

  • 4/5

Open now for Overnight Parking £12pn. Easy access in Amble a bit of road noise but got a goods night sleep.

  • 5/5

We parked just a bit further down the lane outside watersports centre .perfect only room for 1 van though

  • 5/5

    Great spot. Very quiet.

  • 1/5

No over night camping, parking or caravanning.

  • 4/5

We stayed there out of season. We parked near the recycle bins as there are no restrictions sign posted, Great place to stay, easy walk into Amble, where there is free Wi-Fi in the little huts area.

  • 5/5

We were able to sleep here in our campervan last night. There is signs up saying no overnights but there is currently no traffic regulation order in place to give the signs authority. Right at the end of the car park there is a quiet end which nobody came round to all night.
