Point de départ idéal pour faire de la randonnée à Snowdon via le sentier PYG Trail Miners lorsque le parking le plus à l'ouest est plein (peut être plein très tôt le week-end). Ps. Il n'y a presque pas de réception 4G ici.
Danger! The first three photos are from the picnic area about 1km down the road south! Only the fourth photo belongs to this place. Parking at the roadside. Perfect base for hiking Snowdon via the PYG Trail Miners Trail when the westernmost car park is full (can get full very early on weekends). Ps. There is almost no 4G reception around here.
Achtung! Die ersten drei Fotos sind vom Picknickplatz etwa 1km die Strasse runter in südlicher Richtung! Erst das vierte Foto gehört zu diesem Platz. Parken am Straßenrand. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern in Snowdon über den PYG Trail Miners Trail, wenn der westlichste Parkplatz voll ist (am Wochenende kann es sehr früh voll werden). Ps. Hier in der Gegend gibt es so gut wie kein 4G Empfang.

We parked close by this for climbing snowdon via the pyg route - pay and display is cash only or via app but no signal ! Ultra busy so plan ahead - beautiful surroundings obviously but caution needed as roads are twisty and not masses of space for campers.
Good alternative parking spot if you haven't booked the Pen-y-pass parking in advance. To go up Snowdon you basically add 20 min each way to your already long hike. We managed with average fitness to return within 6 hours though. Theoretically you can also use the bus to go to Pen-y-pass. As mentioned before, only coins for the parking machine.
Super Parkplatz für eine Wanderung zum Snowdon! 1,5km bis zum Pen-y-Pass Parkplatz (der nur über Prebooking Parken zulässt), dem Startpunkt verschiedener Wanderungen. 4£ für 6h, 8£ für 12h. Automat nimmt nur Münzen und das Hotel gegenüber wechselt nicht. Wir haben ein Auto angehalten, um Scheine in Münzen zu wechseln :)
great parking spot for hiking in the area. parking meter doesn't accept card so have coins (£8 for day) no phone coverage to pay for parking over the phone unless you walk a few hundred metres up the road.
Ce parking est bien pratique pour aller randonnée. Prix raisonnable. Attention peut se remplir vite dès le matin. Par contre, ne vous fiez pas aux photos, le point de vue est encore 1 km plus loin du parking annoncé, ça nous a embrouillé quand on a cherché.
Perfect parking for snowdon / crib goch if you don’t want to pay £18 for pen y pass. 1.5KM easy walk to the pen y pass car park, save yourself £14 and you don’t need to prebook
Best not to upset the locals further by staying here as there is now a sign saying no overnight camping. Shame as this is becoming very common
No longer allowed to stay overnight. There is a lay-by further down which is lovely.
Stayed here overnight after trekking Snowdon. Was quiet and level. Plenty of space. No facilities.
The picture is of the viewpoint down the road. The pin is on the side-of-the-road parking on the main road, which is pay-and-display, and you will get towed if you don't park correctly. Handy for hiking Snowdon but not for overnight stays.
Fantastic views and parking big enough for our large camper. Gets busy in day but evening quitens down and is quite till approx 8.30 in morning
