Long stretch of old A9, between the new road and the railway, just north of Balsporran Cottages. Accessed via a short dirt track from the A9. Great views, quiet night spent here with no issues. Far enough from the road and railway to not be too noisy.

Spent night here last night , no other cars or campers to be seen, nice wide road only issue was the traffic from the A9 it can be heard all night and the odd train. Take earplugs and you will be fine

Finding the exit off the current A9 is very difficult with impatient fast traffic. SOS much so I missed it and had to turn around, I’m glad I did nice quiet spot no hurry to move off in the morning.

This is a 600m stretch of redundant road that is parallel with the A9. There is space for 50 camper vans, but we were the only ones here. The road has constant lorry traffic which kept waking me up through the night. Ok as an emergency stop, but Scotland has so much more to offer than this. Use the GPS location of the dirt-track off the A9 because if you blink, you’ll miss it. 56.89093, -4.24866
