Free water. The sign does say that it is not for drinking, but we have a separate small tank for drinking water so used this for our main tank which we use for showers and washing the dishes and we have survived so I’m sure it’s fine for that. Don’t be confused by the screen wash, the water is a separate hose on the side with a decent reach on it.
