(G63 0QZ) Stirling - Forestry Road

Second time staying here. Peaceful and good 5G. Dog walkers in the morning but don't turn up before 9. Clean area and plenty of places to park.

VERY quiet and peaceful here. Fairly even a room enough for maybe 6 vans. Views of surrounding hills also. Road to get here really not great though - but ok if going slow.

Nice quite site, no facilities but positive was no rubbish either so people are being considerate. Can't comment on the views as it was cloudy both night and day. Close to Loch Lomond, Aberfoyle, Callander and the Trossachs.

Emplacement en pleine campagne! Les routes pour le rejoindre sont particulièrement étroites mais il n’y a quasi pas de passage donc pas de problème ! La nuit était TRÈS calme ! Pas un bruit.. on était tout seul, c’était d’ailleurs particulier d’être seul au monde. 2 véhicules sont passés tout au long de notre séjour (dont effectivement 1 camion avec des bois mais une seule fois en fin de journée).

Pretty spot with nice hikes and views nearby. Very quiet. There were other vehicles (4 or 5). I had a couple of bars of 5G and passed a lovely night of rest here. No facilities.

Parking sur voie forestière. Idéal en début de soirée mais le passage de camions forestiers débutent dès 4h du matin. Très bruyant.

Secluded rather large space. There were two other campervans there but there was room for several more. Very quiet. Many midgies in the evening. Logging trucks may pass by, although rarely. Otherwise no traffic. People came in the evening and morning to hike nearby. Grass was very high so no view of the landscape unfortunately. Would stay here again though.

Fantastic place to stop. Ten minutes from Aberfoyle. Very peaceful. Single track road for access so zero road noise. Space for 6 motor homes, no restrictions on size really. Flat. Good view. Slept soundly through til morning. Excellent place to stop just outside Queen Elizabeth Forrest Park area where there are more camping restrictions.

spot facile d'accès et calme. Quelques promeneurs le matin. Endroit plat. Mais du coup, endroit très fréquenté (Mai 2024).

J'y ai dormi le 20/09/2023. Endroit charmant pour passer la nuit au calme dans la nature. J'y été seule et me suis réveillée aux sons de la nature. Peu voire pas de passage sur la route. Bon signaux téléphonique et 4G.

Decent nights sleep here, super duper quiet, barely saw anyone, the forestry rangers drive around a couple of times but no bother. Fairly decent phone signal.

Je confirme, très calme pour la nuit. Une étoile en moins car pas de vue et beaucoup de midges!!

Reasonably level if park in right spot. Quieter than forest parking a mile away. We were only van. Lovely quiet evening and night. A few wild campers nearby. Midgies plentiful, but they would be on these warm evenings. Car park is dusty when dry.

Great stop over! Single track road to get to the parking spot. Lovely views. Quiet night. From early morning expect to see friendly locals/dog walkers. Midgies not too bad but they definitely are there!! Would stay again!

Nice flat spot, can be full of midges I guess because Ben Lomond keeps the wind away. Very friendly locals. We stayed here for one night, it’s a 20 minute drive towards the Ben Lomond (overflow) carpark. Nice walks through the forest. Recommended for one night I suppose.

Mooie rustige plek om te overnachten. Wel veel midgets.

Super rustig geslapen zonder passerend verkeer. Alleen op deze plaats. Nu is het natuurlijk geen hoogseizoen. In de avond een wandelaar met de hond maar die was gewoon dat er campers stonden dus heeft ons niet gestoord.

Great spot further up the road from the forestry commission paid parking. Saw several logging lorries late afternoon and around 0730 but apart from a few dog walkers it was quiet if a bit dusty. Great nights sleep and would stay again. There are no bins so please take your rubbish with you.

Great quiet spot, a few locals walking dogs until late afternoon, were friendly and offered advice on surround walks. Some logging trucks until late afternoon also. 4G signal available. Early morning dog walkers arrived but no major disturbance. No facilities.

Lloc molt tranquil al mig de la muntanya, espai per 5 o 6 campers/autocaravanes. 100% recomanable. Entorn perfecte per passejar

Parfait pour la tranquillité. Ballade. Gratuit et loin du bruit.

Nos fuimos del parking de más abajo (ruidos, sobresaturado). Aquí vimos la luz: ambiente respetuoso, silencio total. Dormimos genial. Se permite pernocta. Sale una ruta al lado.

toller, ruhiger Platz der aber auch gerne von Wanderern und Radfahrern genutzt wird. wir standen mit noch einem Bulli dort. toller Ausblick. ein einheimischer kam vorbei der sich nett mit uns unterhalten hat. in der Nacht hat man völlige Ruhe.

Place au calme. Place plate. Nous avons passés une très bonne nuit. Faire attention aux midges car il y en avait quand même beaucoup.

Ruhiger Parkplatz, ohne irgendwas. Wir haben hier für eine Nacht gestanden und haben ruhig und gut geschlafen.

I know of this place from hiking through it before but first time in the van. Flat/level parking for a few vans. I'd aim to arrive late afternoon/early evening as its a popular car park for mountain bikers and walkers. Good views and an enjoyable night with Aberfoyle only a few miles away. Full 4g on GiffGaff/O2 but no facilities so remember to take your rubbish with you.

Superbe parking en terre battue, accès étroit mais praticable.
