Lovely quiet spot close to the town centre. Would highly recommend when visiting Harrogate. Was very busy when we arrived so we had to park further out, but started to empty around 5pm.

  • 5/5

quiet street and not too far from the city centre

  • 4/5

A nice quiet road in-between a grassy meadow. used mainly by cars parked by people going to work, have to be lucky to get a spot during day. 10 min walk into town centre, lots of pubs/restaurants close by, waitrose 5 min walk. bin close by. would recommend.

  • 5/5

So far very quiet park up will update I nothing changes

  • 5/5

lovely grassed area great for walks and beautiful crocus everywhere

  • 5/5

5mins to town or nice stroll around the Stray also known as 2 Hundred Acres. Masses of crocusses late winter.

  • 5/5

Lots of spaces, short walk in/out of town

  • 3/5

No spaces when we went to park (Monday morning) however found a spot nearby on another street just before. Good spot for visiting Harrogate

  • 5/5

Parking restrictions on one side. Large fields on both sides. Close to Harrogate centre.

  • 5/5

    Top Quality site!

  • 5/5

This is a great place to stay, it's quiet, lovely green fields on both sides of us, 10 minutes walk to the centre of town. Lots of parking spaces. The waitrose was 5 minutes walk away for toilets during opening hours of course. We will be coming back.

  • 5/5

Great place ; nice and quiet. However , will not last long if people turn up in a caravan , have steps out and gas bottle on road. Please be discrete

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Stayed Fri & Sat night, thought it might get busy/noisy due to weekend but it was perfect and peaceful and felt safe and friendly. 10 min walk into the centre and 5 min walk to waitrose. would definitely recommend and stay here again.

  • 5/5

Amazing place surrounded by expansive green space and trees given it's literally 5 mins walk from the centre of Harrogate tiwn with main roads nearby that you can hardly hear.. we stopped along with 5 other vans on a Saturday night with no disturbance. Definitely a top find

  • 5/5

great quiet road, level, good internet, streetlights, bins, safe, good field for dogs, easy access to town centre

  • 4/5

Lovely park up quiet at night no issues

  • 5/5

Fab place to park for visiting Harrogate. 10 minute walk into town. We stayed the night with no issues. Heard people heading home after a night out at around 3.30am but they just walked by.

  • 5/5

Great spot for visiting Harrogate.. busy during the day.. but so quiet on a night..

  • 5/5

Fantastic stop over, had 2 nights, arrived 27/12/23 3pm managed to get a space though was busy with city commuters, 5 other MH on 1st night, 3 others on 2nd night, would recommend parking with hab door off side during wet months due to water logged grass verge, can’t comment on noise due to storm Gerrit!! Would definitely recommend, we will be returning, excellent location for centre.

  • 5/5

Great place to stay. 5minite walk into beautiful Harrogate across a beautiful park. It was quiet in the night with the gentle sounds of dog walkers, runners and children playing in the morning. Only downside is no public toilets about but cafés aren't far away, so we just walked to town for breakfast and facilities.

  • 5/5

Fantastic park up. Open parkland and so close to beautiful Town. Need to arrive before 8 am or after 6 pm as fills up with cars. Worth it !

  • 5/5

Parked Friday and Saturday, 5 other campers, no trouble, right near the center. Harrogate is a lovely town. There is a train track near but they only hear it in the morning. Not sure if we are heavy sleepers if it doest run at night.

  • 5/5

For a town like Harrogate, this place is incredible. Absolutely free, very peaceful and it was a Saturday night. Great phone reception, and you wake up to green fields. Thank you Harrogate!

  • 5/5

Super place, easy access. Get here after 5pm as commuters park here during the day. Lovely and quiet and you can walk to explore Harrogate.

  • 4/5

Good overnight stopover - we stayed on a Saturday night from about 8pm to 8am. Was pretty quiet but not flat due to road camber but hey it’s free, a nice location and safe so what’s not to like.

  • 5/5

stayed here last night, fantastic spot for a night or 2, rather busy with dog Walkers and runners early evening when we arrived but soon became very quite after 7pm, no traffic noise and very peacefull at night. nice views from either side of the van windows too. not over looked from any of the massive houses in this lovely area. such a little Gem this stopover if visiting Harrogate.

  • 4/5

Great place to stay for a visit to Harrogate. Short walk to town and a convenient Waitrose, 200 yards from the junction at the northern end of the road.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot to visit the city. We parked here for one day and felt really safe. There were a few other campers as well. There is a large field where you can easily play and walk with your dog and the center of the town can be reached within 15 minutes by foot.

  • 4/5

Stayed overnight midweek 8pm to 7am. A few cars parked there. Very quiet at night. At one end more trees but nearer railway line which is screened. No trains overnight. Other end more open to the fields both sides. Felt very safe. I’m told sometimes police move campers/vans on but no signs of any concern and several cars parked though no other vans. No toilets etc but quite near town centre.

  • 5/5

Free, quiet and just a short walk into the city.

  • 5/5

We arrived at 6.30pm and parked here for the first time last night. No issues with residents and had a very quite night. Road filled up early next morning with cars as it’s free and close to town centre. If you plan on staying overnight here, would recommend arriving after 6pm to guarantee a space

  • 2/5

I parked here for a few years now..but the locals told me they were getting the parking stopped due to rowdyness and litter ..local youths were causing trouble the last time we visited like most places its not like it was.

  • 3/5

Went- just to use as parking and check out - unfortunately all spares taken during day - but managed to pull in for a few hours on a road just after it with no markings and very nice looking houses - all good for a couple of hours sightseeing

  • 5/5

Great spot, been here a few times now, busy when we arrived but still plenty of space, very close to town for shops and restaurants. Quiet night’s sleep and no bother.

  • 5/5

better spot than the other one on the green ( no church bells) and it's a bit closer to town. quiet night apart from the odd car pipping as they go past .

  • 5/5

Lovely spot. Close to town centre, lots of grass for dog walks. The road is naturally slopes at the edges, so not completely flat when parking up.

  • 5/5

Busy around 5pm when I got here but I found a space, and it got much quieter in the evening. I wasn't the only camper here, and there's streetlights which help for safety imo. 10-15 mins walk into Harrogate, amazing view across the Stray (huge grassy area) at sunrise, perfect surroundings for dog walks. Only drawback was the light traffic noise overnight, but that doesn't bother me. Great park-up!

  • 4/5

Got here mid-afternoon and easily found a suitable spot for my 5 metre campervan. Many more spaces in the evening as cars probably use this as a convenient parking for walking into the town centre which is less than 10 minutes walk away. Quiet night and super convenient, green fields either side.

  • 4/5

Here for one night in a 6m motorhome. Was busy when we arrived late morning but there was plenty of free parking by the houses at the end. Moved the van later on, was pretty quiet and only 10 min walk to Harrogate so well worth it.

  • 4/5

Parked for one night , very long road , spacious grassy grounds on both sides , don’t park next to the train bridge very noisy with teenagers , other than that would highly recommend, 10 mins to town centre 14th June

  • 5/5

Very busy with commuter parking during the day but hardly any cars here from 6pm onwards. Easy 10 min walk into town centre following signs. Very quiet place to stay overnight. No amenities apart from a few bins. The road is long and can accommodate 30+ cars. No height restrictions. Parking only available on one side of road. Open grassy parkland on either side of road.

  • 5/5

Really nice spot. Perfect for overnight. Gets busy in the day but still quiet. Lovely big fields either side and 10mins walk into town with public toilets if you need them.
