Stayed New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, landlord happy for us to stay on the car park, lovely pub, fabulous food, eat and drank there both nights, walk straight from the pub to popular walks the Roaches and Lud Church, walkers are allowed to park there as long as they use the pub after which they did. If the car park is busy when you arrive it will soon empty and you you park in a adequate spot

Great place to stay really friendly staff, great food & drink and a lovely atmosphere. the car park is a little uneven, but with chocks, it ok. no hook up, no water or waste disposal. It's just a pud car park fantastic walks around the area, we will defenetley be going back. free to stay, just pop in for a drink or a bite to eat. I can imagine it will be extremely busy over the summer

Really friendly landlord and staff…. Excellent quality food, but limited on choice if you don’t eat meat! Sloping carpark with some flat spots. Beautiful countryside and a really nice stopover . Some road noise mixed in with birdsong….

Great pub, very friendly staff. Excellent food and real ale in the pub and you can stay for free if you eat and drink at the pub. The large car park across the road from the pub is where they let vans park. It is mostly sloping but there are about 4 level spaces at the bottom. Aside from some slight noise from a cockerel at dawn we had a very peaceful stay!

Stayed here on the 2nd March - arrived late but managed to get a few pints in. Lovely, dog friendly pub. Car park is on a slope in areas but found a decent flat spot up the top. Quiet nights sleep. Would recommend
