The location is great, within walking distance of a range of shops and fast food locations and of course the castle is right in your doorstep! Plenty of people about early evening and as it got dark lots of young ones arriving in their cars. This goes on pretty late - 1am and a few stragglers still racing around the car park. Next time I’ll definitely move out of the main car park.
Good place to refill water, disposal of grey and black water. Unfortunately, there were 2 vans parked overnight at the facilities point. I belive that point should be a rotation parking spot. Consider Park close to The Harbour Brewers Fayre car park it's a quieter Area.
Black, grey, water refill and elec. Plenty of space, but it is popular with the local teenagers to hang around, so may be noisy at times.
difficile dare un voto, ottimo per caricare acqua che al momento è gratis, ma la sera ci siamo spostati perché alcune auto hanno iniziato a fare una gara di drifting sul piazzale. C'è comunque un posteggio vicino dove dormire tranquilli

Hemos dormido muy bien sin problemas. Los jóvenes dejan de meter ruido con sus coches hacia las 11. Carga y vaciado gratis. Es ideal para aparcar e ir al centro de Belfast en tren. Estacion andando a 7 min (6£ ida y vuelta)
Did not stay here but stayed in the small car park by the brewers fare. Used the services. Emptied black and grey waste and filled with drinking water. You can attach a hose to the tap but you have to keep it pressed in. Not a problem if you need water.
Purtroppo in questo periodo ci sono le giostre. Poco spazio e molta confusione. Siamo andati oltre, nel parcheggio silenzioso e comodo di Hazelbank Park!
I would not recommend parking here overnight. There were 40-50 cars queueing up to street race at 11 pm. LIghts on, reving their engines and spinning tires. We left as it did not feel safe. I would recommend JORDANSTOWN CARAVAN PARK which is just 4 miles away if you can get a reservation as it is small.
Hemos pasado la noche aquí. Todo perfecto. Vaciado y llenado de aguas gratuito, no dice nada de que haya que pagar. El desagüe de aguas grises es un poco confuso, está enfrente de los grifos donde aparcan los coches. Parece una rejilla del alcantarillado normal, aunque con mucha caída para recoger bien el agua. Le pregunté a un autocaravaniata local y me indicó donde era.
Great area. Thank you Carrickfergus. Short drive from ferry. Easy parking. Nice view of harbour and castle. Short walk to town and supermarket. Emptied grey and black waste. Didn't use electricity but filled up with water which was free at that time.
Great place to stop. 20 mins drive from the port. A little noisy until about 11.00 pm. Black and grey water disposal fresh water at a price.

Stayed 2 nights 4th and 5th Aug 2024, The Motorhome facilities are great. Black and grey water disposal and drinking water (free). However the electricity was out of order which was no problem for us. The castle is well worth a visit and it was a pleasant cycle ride, mostly off road, into Belfast (12 miles). Excellent place to stay.
I'm a local who has a campervan myself, this spot will be good for services however it will be a noisy night sleep (sleep in the car park 100m away between premier inn and the abandoned restaurant as this will be quiet) teenagers will use the castle car park for noisy car meet ups however you will generally be safe in Carrick no need to worry about break ins etc.
Gute Ver- und Entsorgungsmöglichkeit. Lage am Hafen und Castle ist sehr schön. Nachts ist es lange sehr laut. Tagsüber ist viel los dort. Für eine ruhige Nacht nicht so gut geeignet.
Ne venir sur ce parking que pour les besoins en vidange et ravitaillement en eau si vous avez un jeton. Notez que pour vidanger les eaux grises il faut passer par un récipient intermédiaire car il n’y a pas de vidange direct. Pour la nuit, préférez un autre parking, car le soir venu, c’est rodéo Park, démarrage en trombe et coin de deal juste à côté du camping-car, nous avons bougé par sécurité .
Zum Ver-und Entsorgen super. Auf keinen Fall nachts hier schlafen. Die jugendlichen Möchtegern benutzen den Parkplatz als Rennstrecke und sind super laut bis in die Nacht.
It’s a large car park in a busy town. I stopped briefly to get a coffee and stretch the legs with the dogs after coming across on the ferry. The motorhome bays are not big enough for anything more than a VW camper, I begrudgingly ended up stretching across two bays. Would not want to stay here overnight but ok for a quick service stop.
Tagsüber sehr voll. Zum schlafen eine Katastrophe! Hupkonzerte von 6 verschiedenen Autos. Vollgas um dann mit Gewalt Bremsspuren zu hinterlassen. Wir sind gegen 23 Uhr genervt weitergefahren.

We live local and have stayed regularly. If you are worried about boy racers you can stay off the main car park beside the old Swift restaurant car park. However we have always had peaceful safe stay

Very, very busy car park so a bit awkward to manoeuvre. Service base is not large enough for a motorhome small camper vans can fit. Great location to explore the area, but we didn’t stay the night as it was too busy.

This is Carrickfergus a rough pro-British unionists area. The car park is used mainly by those working in town etc. You can park here free, there is black waste terminal far left side as you drive in near free public toilets. Electric on terminal requires token. Some noise at times boy racers depends wet weather it's quiet, sunny weather it's terrible. OK for a night or two stopover.
toilets open until 8pm but youths gather in large numbers and target motorhomers. we didn't feel safe here and left for another location. noise starts around 7pm and continues until 1 or 2 am, even on a sunday night. terrible!
Ottima area per carico acqua e scarico WC chimico gratuita . Ottimo parcheggio per il castello ed una passeggiata al villaggio . Un grazie al comune. Non posso dare consigli per la sosta notturna perché non fatta ,comunque il parcheggio é sicuramente molto frequentato.
Un plus pour la borne euro relais, avec tous les services, qui est la bienvenue. Mais je confirme les nuisances engendrées par les véhicules qui de 21h à minuit passent en faisant crisser les pneus, musique à fond et klaxonne hurlant. Et nous y étions un jeudi j’imagine le WE. Je déconseille fortement d’y passer la nuit.

Une borne de service gratuite : eau propre accessible sans jeton lorsque nous nous sommes arrêtés, vidange cassette WC, mais pour les eaux grises, plus compliqué, nous n'avons pas vu de grille accessible ... Un grand merci à cette petite ville ! Nous avons pris un petit café sur le port, dans un charmant petit food truck.
Von Freitag auf Samstag hier übernachtet. Bis ca. 1 h nachts noch etwas laut durch Jugendliche. Am Morgen 7:30 dann fuhr der Kehrwagen ca 10 min ständig um unser Auto. Wie hatten dann zumindest beim aussteigen aus dem Auto eine blitzsaubere Strasse.Rest der Nacht war ruhig. Würde wieder den Platz anfahren.
Super handy spot to clear out black water (free), grey water (free) and get fresh water (£2 per token, each token gives 110L of water). Get the tokens from the castle gift shop, which is just inside the main castle gates. There are public toilets too, very clean.
Spot on, good facilities. Water amd waste disposal. Clean toilets not ooen all night. Small amount of noisy behavior. Great location by the castle and super morning swim on the beach the other side of the castle. Very interesting castle well displayed, US Rangers museum a mile up the road.

Der Parkplatz war ok, die Toiletten waren leider zu. Es war sehr stürmisch und am Anfang noch sehr laut. Die Autos auf dem Parkplatz haben gehupt und viel Krach gemacht.
I went here to dump and fill. The town can be purchased from the castle or the marina, which on the other corner of Sainsbury's. So cut through Sainsbury's carpark and go through the gap to the big blue and white building. Just to note, the water didn't work, but when reported to the harbour office, they were keen to get it fixed.

Great to have a service point. But don't expect to sleep well here on a Friday night. Youths with poor taste in cars and even worse taste in music descend on the place.
une nuit au calme, très bien situé, avec eau, électricité et en plus gratuit. on avait acheté les jetons à la marina, qui se trouve un peu plus loin derrière un grand bâtiment vert et blanc, mais on en a pas eu besoin.
Parking spacieux, plat et avec les services. Seul défaut, évitez d'y aller le we, les jeunes en voiture sont bruyant et s'amuse avec les klaxons...

goeie plek om nacht of langer te staan. schone en grote openbare parkeerplaats zonder restricties. twee plekken naast de camperservice speciaal voor motorhomes. camperservice biedt stroom, drinkwater en afvalput grijswater. muntjes daarvoor halen bij havenmeester. je kan veel langer van stroom gebruik maken dan aangegeven. nadeel: dicht bij de doorgaande weg. trein in de buurt (20 min Belfast).
Großer Parkplatz, zentral am Hafen/Burg. Nachts leider eine gewisse Geräuschkulisse (z.B. Motorradfahrer). Frischwasser nur mit Token, kann man in der Burg kaufen. Entsorgung Toilette problemlos, Grauwasser umständlich, wir mussten uns mit einem Eimer behelfen. Trotz einiger Kritik ist es toll, dass die Stadt einen zentralen kostenlosen Parkplatz inkl. Ver/Entsorgung bietet, vielen Dank dafür!
Good spot to park for visiting Belfast. The parking is free but there are only 2 EHU points. Tokens for these cost £2 and can be bought from the Castle (closed on Mondays) or the Marina Office (open 24h). The EHUs are next to a busy road so it can be noisy in the evening, but I stayed here for 4 nights without any problem.
Toilette- und Grauwasser kostenlos zu entsorgen,Spülwasser für Toilette auch kostenlos. Allerdings muss man das Grauwasser z.B. mit einem Eimer direkt an der Station entsorgen. Man kann nicht mit dem Wohnmobil über den Abfluss fahren. Für Trinkwasser (100l) / Strom benötigt man Jetons,die es in der Burg (Dienstags-Sonntags tagsüber) oder in der Marina (Alexandra Pier) 24/7 für 2£ zu bekommen sind.
used it for camper service, that works fine. the parking were almost full the two times we went. we were been told by locals that is not a great place to stay at night, because local youths gathering there and are rude to campers... so decided to stay at whitehead instead.
Si vous ne voulez pas dormir de la nuit vous avez trouvé l endroit idéal, trop bruyant moteur de voiture, moto et pour couronner le tout la balayeuse a 6h du matin. Dommage c est un très beau parking avec des services mais du coup je préfère m en passer..

stayed for 2 nights , great spot. Can charge electric , fill water and empty toilet . Beautiful views and right beside the castle . so many eating places and right beside a Sainsbury's. Few boy racers at night but nothing that would keep you from getting a nights sleep. Lots of other motor homes parked up. Would def recommend.

Perfect place to stay, beautiful view over the ocean and the old castle. In daytime lot's of traffic and quiet busy road right behind the parking. Nighttime was quiet.
Vue mer et sur le château de Carryfergus. Parfait pour visiter la ville et le Château. il y a un supermarché Sainsburry pour faire son ravitaillement Camping Car de 9 mètres sans problème pour trouver des places. Pas de limite de hauteur. Toilettes publiques disponibles
handy location for both ferry ports Belfast and Larne. outside the castle. coffee wagon, bins and toilets on site also premier Inn 50mts away for a great breakfast . plenty of speed bumps to stop boy racers .
Okay for a day time park-up. Near supermarket and pubs/restaurants. Pretty spot with the castle. Public toilets were good. Carrickfergus marina had no tokens so we couldn't get water/power. Could use toilet disposal and greywater disposal for free. Busy location, we didn't stay overnight.
Awful place for overnight stay. Parked here once on a weekend night and decided it was to dodgy to stay. Gave it another try on a Monday night. Car park is very restless with cars coming and going raving engines . Then some youths throw stones at our Motorhome, we ended up getting out of bed and leaving.
Very confusing guidance about where to buy tokens from. The castle was closed when we visited, we tried to find the Marina but you have to walk to it, can’t access in the van. We bought a token for £2 and nothing worked so not very impressed. We drove 10 minutes away and got water from Bentra golf course in white park bay
Great stop over based on European aire service point. However it's water and ehu equipment are token activated and the Marina office where they are issued, ran out a few months ago. They are not expecting any soon!!! it's a French system. yYou can still empty toilet and black water waste at no cost

It’s free, the toilets are staffed and clean and you can empty black water. You’re next to the castle and harbour and central for town. We had no noise from cars. I think this is a great spot for the price :-)
Great to have this possibility but other than being quite overnight and near the town it doesn't have a lot going for it. Huge car park for the lads to test their skills !
Great place to park as long as you don't need power. the three places you can buy tokens are the castle (which was closed because of Covid), the marina, which was out of tokens, and the golf course 10 minutes away. we drove to get tokens and then we couldn't get power, which was frustrating. great spot other than that.
Parkplatz war komplett zu geparkt. Haben uns ein Chip zum Wasser tanken gekauft, leider war die Säule defekt. 2 Pfund für nichts. braucht man nicht anfahren
Great to be able to empty and refill. We used it as a base for a couple of days. Unfortunately it is also the meeting point of the local boy racers. They are harmless and friendly but a bit noisy until midnight. The public toilets at the end of the car park are spotless too.

Near castle, service station, large free parking
Pros: Flat and spacious with well set up station for black water dump (free) and low cost water electricity. Road noise surprisingly light at night. Bus to Belfast £3 round. Cons: Young local guys use this as. car hangout and will be a bit disruptive way knot into the night. You can largely avoid these guys by parking in the middle.
La fosse pour les WC chimiques semble saturée. Sinon pratique pour le supermarché Sainsbury à côté et le château mais très fréquenté assez tôt le matin et boulevard très passant.
Schön am Hafen gelegen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Nachts sehr unruhig, da viele Leute sich Abends dort mit dem Auto treffen.

Hicimos la noche del domingo al lunes. Hay gente joven entrando y saliendo al parkings con los coches tuneados hacen mucho ruido. otros se pusieron con la música a tope. por suerte para la 1 de la mañana se fueron. luego está toda la noche sonido de tráfico y sobre todo de las gaviotas revolviendo las papeleras. Muy ruidoso el sitio en general

Nice place for the night during the week, but avoid Friday/Saturday night. A lot of people in their cars "racing" each other in the carpark, honking and shouting. We just left because someone did donuts next to us for 2 hours and almost crashed into our campervan several times. Didn't feel safe anymore. Otherwise a lovely spot just next to the castle, Sainsburys, 2 restaurants and a cinema.
Parking gratuit, face au port, près d'un château fort. Le soir jusqu'à 11h, des jeunes s'amusent avec leurs voitures donc bruyant en soirée.
Attention le tarif est passé à 2£ le jeton et la borne ne fonctionnait pas. Évacuation des eaux noires bouchée. Pratique pour visiter Belfast, liaison par bus 7£ aller et retour par personne, arrêts situés à côté du parking. Beaucoup de bruit le soir en raison d'essais par des jeunes de moteurs et d'aller est venu avec des échappements très bruyants, le matin beaucoup de circulation.
Grand parking public gratuit avec borne payante. jeton à 1£ pour 100 litres d'eau.
