What a beautiful spot. Peace and quiet, only the birds and the sheep to disturb you. There are 2 small car parks one on either side of the reservoir, and a small hard standing just above the first car park. Lovely walks nearby and beautiful scenery. Brilliant
Super entspannter Platz. Online konnte ich zwar kein „Car Parking“ auswählen aber habe dann ein „fishing permit“ für das Balderhead Reserve gekauft - hat ebenfalls 10£ gekostet.
Only us on cold and blustery February night. Peaceful spot away from the road. Good walking in the area. We weren’t able to pay despite trying both website and phone number…
Fantastic spot. Just 2 of us overnight at the first carpark. Very windy but some shelter from the wall and bund. So peaceful- heard nothing but sheep and oystercatchers. No daytime charges so just £10 overnight. Paid in advance on app as wasn’t sure of signal strength- it was patchy with EE but would have been fine. Used the gate at the top rather than the opening over the cattle grid as it looked narrow.
2 car parks either side of the dam both have signs for overnight parking £10 per night. very peaceful only seen 2 other cars whilst here beautiful views of the res. quite flat. lovely spot!
Here on a quiet Saturday, not staying tonight but looks like a fair spot. Picnic bench and a litter bin, relatively flat, very slight slope in part of the carpark. Good view down the outflow valley and up along the reservoir. Phone reception OK but only H data, 4G if you walk a few meters back up the road.
