We parked up & went into town. Upon return as we put our dog into the back of the van, an extremely aggressive man approached us shouting & swearing. He shouted "GET OUT NOW" & lunged to try to hit us. He basically said the car park is not campsite and threatened to hurt us if we didn't leave - so obviously we left. Couldn't risk damage or injury. There are 10 other vans there now. Be careful!
La localisation est parfaite : la vue mer est incroyable, Porthleven est une jolie petite ville. Le pub en bas de la colline, l'Atlantic Inn est familial. Je recommande chaudement ce spot !
Lovely location, lots of other vans staying overnight. Huge grass field in front with a full sea view, 10 mins walk into Porthleven for public loos. Woken up at midnight by a group of people knocking on vans with a torch, saying “what’s going on here”. Could be yobs walking by from the adjacent park or some locals trying to scare campers off. Either way it didn’t persist and we had a great night.
Wat een fantastische plek is dit. Je kan alle kanten op fietsen en wat is Porthleven een super leuk vissersdorpje. Wij hebben hier 2 nachten gestaan, super stil hier 's nachts.
07/05/24 Yup, all been said by others before me! Very handy for the town, super quiet and pitch black over night. One of the few free places to stay in Cornwall. Local residents were friendly and appeared quite accepting of the vans (5 when we were there). Respect this place and enjoy.
toller Parkplatz mit fantastischer Aussicht und kurzer Weg ins sympathische Städtchen. Eine einheimische und sehr freundliche Dame hat uns ihren Parkplatz angeboten, damit wir die schöne Aussicht geniessen können, denn es war alles überfüllt, da im Städtchen ein food and musical Festival stattfand.

Great park up in Porthleven. Parking is level with a good sea view. We had good connection on EE and O2. Right next to a field to walk the dog :)
This is a great stop! Easy access to town and coastal paths. We stayed 2 nights, was exposed to the elements and we did have gusts of up to 35mph but didn’t both us to much. Views are amazing and big grass area to run a dog. Top stop.

Great park up with a lovely view! Peaceful for us on the night we stayed, no issues. Free parking and no signs to state you cannot stay overnight, other vans were there too. Lots of dog walkers throughout the time we were there but didn’t bother us. Relatively flat.
Only four stars as it’s a very steep hill back up from the village to the car park! Stunning views across the sea. Some residential properties, but didn’t seem to mind. Free to park all day and night.
der Parkplatz ist schon, die Aussicht super! aber wenn ich es windig ist, dann ist es dort extra windig. Habe mich in meinem etwas größeren Auto gefühlt wie in einem Schiff. ansonsten ist der Parkplatz tagsüber gut besucht.

Flattish car park at the top of a steep hill. Great views. It was a bit windy but that was OK. We have a motorhome and we had no trouble from anyone. Slept fine.
Ein sehr schöner Stellplatz ohne Beschränkungen Abseits der Hafenhektik .Es ist nur ein kleiner Fussmarsch bis zum Hafen.Wäre schön wenn der Stellplatz in Park4night sichtbar wäre.
Wij stonden hier twee nachten met onze klassieke alkoof camper en we werden elke dag vriendelijk begroet. De locals lijken er geen problemen mee te hebben. Ze komen wel graag om hun honden uit te laten dus neem vooral niet teveel ruimte in met parkeren. Je wandelt zo naar het strand vanaf hier.

Nice free area to park in, beautiful views. it's a big, gravelled car park , which does have a slight slope. Nice area to walk your dogs and also a kids play park.
Only parked for the day while visiting Porthleven but could have overnighted. Still free and no signs of any kind. Great spot with terrific views. Only 10 mins to town centre. Porthleven is one of the nicest seaside towns in Cornwall.

Fairly busy car park, lots of dog walkers and visitors to the town, but very quiet at night. The park ps is not sheltered from the wind so can get a hit blustery. Small bins in the play park next door.
Nice place, but you do get youngsters smoking weed and playing music whilst running their car engines till the early hours.
Good view, short walk down to harbour. Only downside was people using the car park in the night and playing loud music between 11-1 but they probably weren’t aware of us staying in the van anyway.
Quiet spot with plenty of space for multiple MHs and a great view over the coastline.
Mooie bijna vlakke plekken aan het einde van de parking links met een spectaculair uitzicht over de zee en Portleven, waar de tijd lijkt stil te hebben gestaan. Vanaf deze plek loop je zo naar leuke barretjes en het haventje… en naast de parking zijn speeltoestellen voor kinderen.

Superb spot. Very quiet, afew other vans. Didn't feel like I was encroaching on the nearby houses. 5 min walk to the harbour. Amazing views of the sunset. Highly recommended
Very busy car park (half term week), struggled to get a spot and when we did it was tight. Also car park is right on top of residential houses, ok if you can be stealthy but not relaxing with kids or dogs in tow.

Fabulous view. Close to town. Only one spot left when we arrived. No other Motorhome. Recommend taking alternate route not through town as busy and narrow. Perfect spot and easy walk into town.
Stayed for a night in my stealth van. Near to some houses and fairly windy but quiet other than that and no issues. Great views down onto the sea. Plenty of 4G signal and short walk to the harbour.
Our van is pretty stealthy so we had a calm easy night here. Great view. 5min walk down to the harbor. Origin Coffee cafe 8ish min walk. Fish n chips close by. Pub close by.
