4 Sterne dafür, dass es den Ort gibt & die sinnvolle Platzierung neben dem örtlichen Leisurecentre (aktuell Sanierung). Sicher gibt es schönere Orte zum Aufhalten, aber die Gemeinde investiert. Was nicht zu glauben ist, ist wie manche Camper den Ort behandeln. Offenbar mehrere WCs in den Grauwasserabfluss entleert. Der ist fast komplett verstopft & riecht übel nach Fäkalien. Was für eine Schande!

Merci à la commune pour ce service gratuit. Très rare en Irlande. On peut vidanger les eaux grises et les toilettes et remplir l'eau. Attention il semble en effet qu'elle ne soit pas potable.

Gratuita e pratica, però un cartello copre il “drinking” prima di water, segnalando che esiste un avviso di bollitura prima del consumo, non la considererei pienamente sicura, nessun problema per acque grigie e scure.

Fine for emptying the toilet but there is an attention sign to boil the water before drinking so we didn’t fill up with water- doesn’t look very clean. Quite an ugly place to stay so we moved on and didn’t stay.

A lovely place next to the river, water services and parking for free. But no rubbish bins, strange to say the least. Plenty of room and mostly level.

Allein der Service ist mind. 4 Sterne Wert, kostenlos findet man ihn in Irland selten. Der Platz direkt am Fluss und gegenüber einer Klosterruine hat auch was. Das Frischwasser war allerdings recht stark geklort, auch das hatte ich an anderer Stelle auch schon. Abends spielten noch Jugendliche in dem Park und morgens war die Straße zu hören, beides störte aber nicht wirklich.

Quiet night, all services available.

Grau- und Schwarwasserentsorgung. Am Fluss mit Blick auf die Ruinen vom Kloster. Ruhige Nacht. Das Dorf ist leider in den Dornröschen Schlaf gefallen. Die Entsorgung von Abwasser/ Schwarzwasser ist generell sehr schwierig in Irland und darum schätze ich diesen Ort umso mehr.

Wir konnten das Kloster besichtigen; das Schloss nicht. Das Schwimmbad ist schon länger geschlossen und das Dorf ist nicht sehr schön. Danke für die Frischwasser und Abwasserstation.

Schöner ruhiger großer Parkplatz direkt am River Deel, hatten eine ruhige Nacht. Abby in Sichtweite. Abbey und Castle mit einem kurzen Spaziergang erreichbar. Beide zur Zeit nur von außen zu besichtigen, Castle wird renoviert. Ideal für Reisende mit Kindern, da umzäunter Kinderspielplatz direkt neben dem Parkplatz. Ver-und Entsorgung vorhanden, sauber, alles kostenlos. Vielen Dank an die Gemeinde.

A really great free toilet emptying area and the Gray water there is water available but it does say as somebody else has mentioned it should be boiled but very close to the main road. Thank you so much to the community for providing this.

Parking jest duży. Przyjechaliśmy tam ok. 6 wieczorem i już słychać było jakieś dzieciaki które hałasowały. Oprócz nas był jeszcze tylko jeden kamper. Za dużo tam czasu nie spędziliśmy i pojechaliśmy do innego miejsca po przeczytaniu tych opinii.

Die Versorgungsstation ist noch vorhanden. Nur leider keine Müllentsorgung mehr möglich. Das angrenzende Bad hat auch geschlossen und wie es ausschaut schon länger.

It’s tucked away but sign posted. Plenty of parking when we visited. Great free facility. Good spot to walk the dogs too. Litter bins are also here.

Schwarz- und Grauwasserentsorgung Kostenlos, sehr selten in Irland! Wasser gibts es auch, aber nicht trinkbar! Wir waren auf der auf der Durchreise, als Schlafplatz würden wir ihn nur nutzen, wenn wir abends kämen. Entsorgung aber super! Danke an die Gemeinde!

Stayed here a couple of years ago so stopped in. Pleased to find all services working. It does state the fresh water should be boiled first before drinking. Grey waste emptied fine and also black waste no issues. Shame the swimming pool is now closed. But the facilities are still in great working order.

Llegamos aquí con la intención de pasar una noche. Tras observar los comentarios y el estado del lugar decidimos marcharnos. Eran las 20 y no había ninguna otra autocaravana. El parking estaba vacío y el ambiente no invitaba a quedarse.

Have used this site for several years, arrived yesterday to find it in a poor state. The grey drain is blocked, the black waste is covered in faeces although still useable. The fresh water is unusable as it has been contaminated by floodwater. The whole village is using bottled water supplies at the moment. Bottled water is available at the Supervalue if you only need a small amount.

El área de vaciaje está desbordada y la caca se sale por la alcantarilla. Puedes vaciar las aguas negras pero se recomienda no cargar agua por contaminación. Es una cloaca.

Indeed, young children having a big mouth and talking allot. Good for a quick stop to empty your gray and black tanks. Water is not drinkable, there is a sign that says you need to boils/cook it first for using it.

O local tem muito espaço para estacionamento para veículos longos. É fácil de acessar. O ambiente é relativamente silencioso e permite descansar com silencio. A área da troca de águas poderia estar um pouco mas cuidado, mesmo que seja culpa dos usuários. Esta é uma área de serviço como muito poucas na Irlanda que não cuida do auto caravanismo.

We didn't stay the night. No longer any trash bins. Black water and gray water dumping available.

We left when we got people banging at our door and shouting get out if here etc.

Free place to dump the cassette and grey water and fill up with fresh water.

This is a spot I often use as a stop off while working close by. Yes the swimming pool is closed and the sound of the pools, presumably water maintenance machines are loud but it’s rare to find a place to safely dump toilet waste and for me to fill up on water for my dog, shower and sink tap. There is a local guide that may pay you a visit and I recommend taking a tour of the area with him.

Zur Entsorgung ok, der Spielplan auch. Ansonsten ist die Klimaanlage sehr sehr laut und der Platz für Übernachtung nicht einladend

Sadly the Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre is now closed for the foreseeable future. Nice area to park for the night beside the water and a short distance from the Shannon Estuary and Wild Atlantic Way. Ideal if you are traveling with a Dog as there is a grass area and Dog waste Bin.

Sito di accesso difficile per VR oltre i 6 metri, nei pressi di una struttura sportiva con sistema condizionamento di una rumorosità impressionante, sicuramente di giorno, non passerò la notte in questo posto.

As mentioned above the leisure centre is now closed. You can empty grey and brown water and a sign says it is not drinking water unless boiled. The view from site is beautiful across a small river and car park is very flat. It is quite a remote car park so we didn’t stay over.

The leisure centre is closed but the black and grey waste still available but no fresh water. We had a very quiet Sunday night but best to park next to the disabled bays as machinery inside the plant occasionally kicks in and it can be noisy at the far end. Fresh water is available at Glin car park, which is about 20 mins away

confirmo los comentarios anteriores, hay una banda de jóvenes ( 11 o 12 años) que vienen por las tardes (después de las 19:00) y entran en las autocaravanas incluso con los dueños dentro, dicen que solo quieren mirar.....pero entran 3 o 4... haciendo un poco de "confusión" para aprovechar y robar cualquier cosa de valor que esté a mano. Estuvimos tres días, y los tres días pasó exactamente igual.

Hier dachten we te overnachten met drie motorhomes maar werden overvallen door een bende jongeren die probeerden zelfs in de motorhomes te komen. We hebben dan gedaan alsof we de Garda belden . Geen aanrader om te verblijven . Wel goed om de diensten te gebruiken . Er werd ons gezegd door de opzichter van het zwembad dat het onveilig was daar te overnachten en de motorhome alleen achter te laten.

Stopped by again. The pool is undergoing maintenance currently so no traffic at all that caused issues manoeuvring a big van around a packed car park. Fans were not as noticeable as we parked at the far end of the car park. Water, black and grey waste all still working but service point showing use. Has become our go to point when in Limerick.

We were going to stay here but the water taps weren't working and we needed to fill up so moved on. Possibly hadn't worked for a while - point looked a bit neglected. Car park looked nice though! (We did actually end up staying after hours looking for water and elsewhere to park. Was fine - a quiet night. As previous comments say, pool ventilation is quite noisy but not enough to prevent sleep)!

It was perfect 4 days ago when we used it, we came back today and some bad human flushed the black water in the wrong spot. come on folks... this isn't brain surgery. let's appreciate the services that the community give us for free and let's try to leave a good impression of the motorhome/minivan travelers. (I posted a picture showing where you have to dump, just lift up the lid)

the service area is appreciated but no good for parking, the pump/fan is on all night and very noisy even at the far end of the carpark. Good for a daytime stop .

lovely little spot, quite sheltered from the wind as in a bit of a dip by the river. Yes you can hear the pumps for the pool, and we have parked the far end away from building. They get switched off at night. A decent stopover.

Quiet and peaceful once the swim club fan stopped. Tight through the town. Grocery store available. Great for grey water and sewer disposal. Fresh water also available. Playground for children. Horses not allowed!!

Very quiet as (in few vehicles) stop with floodlit Castle across the river that was beautiful. Very handy grey disposal and water but the fan is very loud and starts early. Would stop here again though to overnight.

Der Stellplatz liegt wunderschön und auch die Ver- und Entsorgung ist gut. Ein Dankeschön an den Ort dies alles kostenlos zur Verfügung zu stellen. Abzug der Sterne ist lediglich wegen des sehr lauten Lüfters (?) des angrenzenden Schwimmbades. Nachdem das Gerät bei Schließung des Schwimmb. abgeschaltet wurde, sind wir über Nacht geblieben. Es wurde allerdings morgens ca 7 h wieder aktiviert

Jammer dat vuilnisbakken te klein zijn voor al het vuil. Verder een goede CP. Ga naar de ruïne van het kasteel achter het zwembad. 4 keer per dag kan je daar een gratis rondleiding van ca. 90 min. krijgen.

Alles sauber und das Trinkwasser schmeckt nur sehr wenig nach Chlor. Bestes Terminal in Irland bisher!

Sehr ruhig gelegener Stellplatz, mit kostenloser Ver-und Entsorgung. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen im Ort "The Belfrey" und ruhig geschlafen. Vielen Dank an die Gemeinde Askeaton.

Aire de service gratuite, eau grise et eau potable. Facile à trouver et emplacement délimité pour s’y arrêter. Les poubelles de la photo sont maintenant devant la piscine et fermées avec une chaîne. Rien de mirobolant mais ça fait le job et c’est gratuit.

The service point was excellent and free but the lovely carpark at the Leisure Centre was good but by a children’s playground and we felt uncomfortable when some older children were there in the dark. However we didn’t have any problems but decided just to stay for one night. The little town was a bit weary

Sitio tanquilo y con servicios gratuitos, donde se puede pernoctar. Parque infantil en la zona. A un paseo andando del pueblo. El único punto a mejorar es que el punto de agua limpia y el grifo para limpiar el WC están juntos.

Chouette parking avec eau potable ( calme la nuit). Possibilité vider wc. Petite plaine de jeu. La piscine municipale est sympa ( 8 euros par adulte et 5 euros par enfant). Entre 13h et 15h : 4 euros par personnes . Jacuzzi et Hamam compris. Possibilité d’acheter bonnet de bain à l’entrée (5 euros). Possibilité de faire du fitness et douche ( 8 euros, réduction entre 13h et 15h).

Guter Stellplatz wie bereits beschrieben. Jedoch Achtung es laufen ein paar Schuljungs durch die Straßen die am Parkplatz halt machen und Vans mit Steinen bewerfen. Früher schon mal zwei Tage ohne Probleme gestanden, dann jedoch erneut aufgesucht und da hatten wir Probleme mit den Steinwerfen.

Prima plek om te overnachten. Alles wat je nodig hebt is vlak in de buurt op loopafstand. Deze initiatieven moet je belonen. Wat grotere afvalbakken zou rommel ernaast kunnen voorkomen. Er zijn toch Camperaars die het dan maar naast de bak gooien!! In plaats van mee te nemen naar een andere prullenbak.

Rare en Irlande : tout est gratuit . Au bord d'une rivière navigable. des jeunes font des promenades en barque. borne fonctionnelle avec bon débit d'eau. borne et emplacement propre. il manque juste une grande poubelle (car poubelle aire de jeux mini)

A little taste of French motorhome hospitality on the west coast of Ireland. The town is great with a couple of pubs, free tours of ‘hell fire club ruins’, plus good walks along the river to the friary. Very quiet night next to the leisure centre. Local council deserve a big thank you for this aire.

This is a great spot to empty grey and black water. Very handy to fill up with drinking water too, whoever set this up is a legend. There is a playground too which is very handy if you have the kids with you

Very helpful spot! Free water, station for grey and dark water. Quiet spot. Welcoming people : we met the man who created this station. His goal is to help campers and at the same time help the shops of the village because travellers can buy groceries there. Everythin you need!

Schöner Platz mit Blick auf die Abbey. Leider Jugendliche die nichts Besseres zu tun haben als gegen den Camper zu treten und Luft aus den Rädern zu lassen. Polizei sagt dass dies ein wirkliches Problem ist. Sind dann nachts doch weiter gefahren.

Great place to stopover. In the grounds of the leisure centre with security lighting so felt safe and secure. There is designated parking, drinking water, grey/black waste and trash bins. You can stock up on supplies in the town (as we did). Thank you Askeaton for providing this very welcome service.

Fantastic place pulled up late at night, woke up to a stunning medieval Abbey to the left of me and medieval castle to the right was welcome into the town by one of the locals when I got out of my camper, top of the town is a great bar the owner josh made me feel welcomed and food was great, we stayed here for a few nights, we can't wait to be back.

Nous sommes repartis aussitôt car trop bruyant à cause des pompes de la piscine.

Possibilité de vider les eaux usées, mais le robinet ne fonctionnait pas quand nous sommes passés. Parc de jeux pour les enfants, poubelles sur place. Nous nous sommes assurés que nous pouvions y rester pour la nuit auprès de l'accueil de la piscine et pas de problème. En se garant le long de la rivière au plus loin de la piscine nous n'avons pas été dérangé par le bruit.

Tellement peu d'options à des kilomètres à la ronde que c'est très très bienvenu. Le bruit de la piscine ne nous a pas gênés et finalement même si c'est un parking, l'environnement est plutôt agréable.

Super une station camping-car mais effectivement assez bruyant à cause de la piscine, on a quand même bien dormi car on s'y habitue mais quand même !
