stayed a few times in the past, seems to be in a state of disrepair now. still manageable even in a motor home but road has pot holes and very untidy in area now. lots of noise early on but by 10ish it's fine a quite through the night.
Nice and flat. There's a small public wheelie bin. Quiet, just walkers, a few cyclists and fishers. Slept well. Good walk either down the canal, or to avoid bikes, there's some little paths that lead into the woods and along the stream that's safe for off-lead. My dog also gives 5 stars. Full signal also

Nice flat spot but really really dirty. A lot of everything around there. Collected one bag full of trash, but a lot of the staff was used or just the packaging equipment for fishing.
Nous y avons dormi une nuit. Il y avait des pêcheurs installés aux alentours mais ils partent à la tombée de la nuit. Du passage le long de la route dès le matin mais l'endroit est bucolique avec le bruit du ruisseau, endroit charmant avec la piste cyclable qui mène jusqu'à Glasgow (à 20km tout de même à vélo...)
Stayed a couple nights ago,shared the car park with one other van, lots of dog walkers in the morning,they were all parked at the car park opposite so no issue. Came to park again tonight and too busy with people fishing, cars parked even at 8pm, tried the spot round the corner marked as a tree on p4n,nearly 10pm now, not seen a soul. other car park is much quieter and it’s away from the main road
stayed a night with no issues. parked on the side of the canal with fewer spaces so that we were a little more sheltered from the weather. sad to see rubbish in the trees around us. no excuses as there are bins here. lots of dog walkers but all very friendly. nice walk along the canal.
Great spot, just note the direction we came from had a bridge close by with a height restriction of 8’9”. It says on our camper that we’re 8’8” and we cleared it with plenty of space.
Stayed one night no issues. Good 4g and loads of space. No height or width issues. Nice scenic plot next to the canal.
hemos pasado la noche muy tranquilos con el sonido del río. por la mañana han venido algunas personas para hacer deporte por el canal. lugar limpio y con papelera
Parking de l'autre côté de l'aire de pique-nique proche du canal, un peu en pente mais protégé du vent. Poubelles à disposition mais le jour où nous avons dormi elles débordaient. L'endroit reste sympa possibilité de se balader en longeant le canal, proche de la statue Silvanus et calme la nuit, les seuls compagnons que vous verrez ce sont des canards.
Très bon emplacement. Passage voitures le long de la route mais calme absolu la nuit. On entend la rivière s’écouler dans le canal. C’est paisible. Balade possible en longeant le canal. Je recommande +++, à condition que cela ne devient pas le lieu de rendez-vous de nombreux vans. Ce qui pourrait empêcher les habitants de venir s’y garer pour s’y promener.

Nice parking area and nice area. Few cars passed until 10 ish but soon quietened down. Dog walkers started arriving in morning but not much noise. nice flat pitch. would def stay again. I consider a 3 above average so a 4 is very good in my book.
Bon spot près de la route mais peu passante la nuit. promenade paisible le long du canal. N hésitez pas
Quiet, nice spot. If you have a small van - even with a raised roof - it is OK to get here from the Cumbernauld side. There is a Forestry Commission car park for Croy Hill not far to the south on the same road.
Super spot au calme et à l'ombre, seule quelques cyclistes et pêcheurs pour compagnie, pas de moustique, les places sont à plat, et pour promener les chiens c'est top.
Great spot to stay overnight! Plenty of walk ways (completely even to both sides of the canals and steeper foot paths) which is ideal for dog owners. Busy on the weekends and in the evenings but quietens down after 8pm.
Parking sympas, peu de passage, poubelle a proximité, attention rn repartant par l'autre côté du canal, il y a un passage sous un pont assez étroit, nous somme passé tout juste avec un camping car de 3m de large sur 3,5m de haut.
Great spot with plenty of trees and green around, very peaceful. We could hear some cars passing in the night but no bother. A lone fishermen in the morning and some cyclists. There are two car parks either side of the canal, so plenty of space. It was just us and another van conversion. Tiny bit on a slope, nothing that would bother us. Lovely walk going from the car park along the canal.
Really good spot. Quiet. One dog walker around 8pm, then one walker the next morning. Has a bin too! ❤
