(SK13 8QS) Glossop - 23 Pyegrove Road

Great option for quiet, safe park up. Two other vans stayed the night I was there and plenty of room for more. Residential area behind but lovely view over the fields and hills over the grassy area.

Wasn't sure about staying here on a Friday after reading other reviews, but had a brilliant night sleep. Very quiet and only one other van here. Extremely large car park area. Excellent if you have a dog. Glossop also have a park run 10 mins walk away at Manor Park on a Sat morning at 9.

Prachtige parkeerplaats aan de rand van het stadje en aan de rand van een natuurgebied. Heel rustig. Honden kunnen hier prachtig rennen. Kortom mooie gratis overnachtingsplek.

We stayed here one night with no issues and would recommend for an overnighter if you need signal, as further up snake pass we couldn't get anything and this park up had 4g with Vodafone and EE. A few cars throughout the day and a police officer drove around the car park and looked in but didn't stop or say anything. Only a 10 minute drive to snake pass summit and the hike to the B29 crash site.

Stayed for 2 nights, nice and quiet out of the way but a gentle 10minute stroll for all your needs. Local youths arrived at 11pm no bother but did drop all there litter. Cleaned up in the morning so us motorhomers can’t get the blame. Better than some sites we have stopped on.

Great spot for spending an evening in Glossop. 10 minute walk to centre. Hardstanding, flat, large area amongst houses by football pitch. Got busy by 10am on Sunday for football matches.

Nice and quiet site at night. Litter bin available but no other facilities. Football pitches and play area and lots of dog walkers. Excellent place to stay.

Off road near play park - no restrictions but near residential so be considerate

2 other campers in the carpark. It was an awful night. Cars came in hourly playing loud music. Mr. police officer even came questioning us at 3.30am! Barely any sleep, would not recommend.

Great location. 4 other campers last night but very quiet after dark. Busy during the day with dog walkers which is fine. No facilities but manor park down the road has toilets and there’s a couple of pubs within 15mins walk. Be aware it is next to a housing estate and a small tennis / football club so there are people about. That said no sleep disturbance or noise.

We stayed here overnight and although it is behind houses it overlooks football fields and the hills in the distance. It was a Sunday night but there was only one other van and was a really quiet spot and we definitely use it again.

Stayed here last night, very quiet, lots of dog walkers and children playing football during the day which was nice to see, nice town to walk to along safe road.

Good spot in terms of location and space, however lots of houses around and a car full of kids arrived around 11pm and were playing music and very rowdy until past 3am.

Perfect overnight spot,strong phone signal can see mast about 1 mile away.nice views yet close to town.

Worked very well for me. Overlooked by houses so it’s only good manners to be as quiet and discreet as possible. I was the only MoHo there but had no problems and very much enjoyed my evening in Glossop - Bar 2 especially recommended for its friendly welcome and excellent beers.

Flat car park behind some houses against a recreational field and a kids play park. Had a good night very quiet.

Great quiet spot, with a good grassy field in front. Public toilets in the manor park round the corner too!

We spent one night here. Nice quiet night; a few people walking dogs and playing in the park. No problems.
