Campsite lakeside. Beautiful location. Good amenities. Right next to Snowdon trail.
Gets very busy in the summer.
Limited fresh waster fill up facilities - advise taking a long hose.

Grand camping très bien équipé, douches et toilettes propres, super emplacement. Personnel sympa.

Gorgeous view, perfect amenities, ample space, accès to lake, pets allowed, under £20 forme and the dog for one night in august. It was very busy but there was plenty of space by the lake to find a serene private spot to swim and let the dog play. Lovely people, only downside was how busy it was, but it’s so nice I’m not surprised it was busy!

Großer Campingplatz direkt am See gelegen. Von hier aus können Wanderungen auf den Snowdon gestartet werden. Allerdings beträgt die Zeit zum offiziellen Watkins Path von der Campsite aus 45min. Die Sanitäranlagen waren ok (teilweise veraltet und dreckig).

Stayed here in tentbox, very expensive however you are in the heart of snowdonia and the lake is gorgeous! You can hire boats in 1 hour intervals, not too far from the paths up snowdon don’t know about transportation tho I just drove! They had food on at 6pm and it was paella, absolutely amazing!! They do Pizzas as well however personally too expensive for me. Showers and toilets very clean!

  • 4/5

I find it a bit expensive. Especially for what it offers. The Staff is really friendly though :) 13 £ per person, 29 in total with a camper. Electricity, 7 £ extra.

Preis-Leistung hat gestimmt. Toilettanlagen waren sauber.

Campsite is in a nice area and close to the waterfront. Unfortunately our experience was not great. The wardens were not sure of what they were doing, toilets and showers were dirty and the cleaning was very minor... Driers didn't work either. They don't sell any plastic water/soda bottles because of ecology.. but don't mind selling beer in non recyclable plastic cups. Find another c.site to stay

Schöner Platz mit guten Sanitäranlagen Aufnahme auch ungebucht war möglich allerdings keine Verlängerung nach 3 Tagen. Da sind wir halt weiter gefahren.

Amazing site for a base to climb snowdon, we walked to pen y pass from the site in about 1hour 15minutes. Showers were ok, basically outside (private cubicles) which was slightly off putting for me. Shop was good, good selection of camping/hiking gear. We paid £30 a night for 2 adults, a dog and a camper in a non EHU pitch which I think is expensive. But wifi was a nice touch to plan walks.

Great site. Lovely lake and river. Small shop, bar, takeout food and pizza. Boat hire. WiFi (no cell reception). Only one toilet block which gets very busy but it wasn’t much of a problem. Mainly camping with a handful of camper options. Recommend booking in summer. Strict quiet policy after 11pm and no radio’s allowed (fantastic).

A lovely location right on the lake so perfect for paddle boarding. We had a small private camping bay which was lovely and well maintained. Good facilities however not always the cleanest but it’s quite a big site and the water was never that hot. Little shop although nothing stocked in the fridges but a great cafe on site selling pizzas, breakfast etc on certain days. Would stay again

Great campsite in stunning surroundings. I had a lakeside pitch and it was absolutely beautiful. Dog friendly with amazing walks around the lake. Easy access to Snowden climbs. Great facilities including shop, restaurant and bar. Friendly staff, highly recommend.

Love this place, have stayed here few times now both camping and in the van. Great busy atmosphere in the summer, peace and quiet in the winter. No Wi-Fi or phone coverage. Beautiful.

  • 4/5

Nice location. just off the road leading up to the car parks for Snowdon pass. no WiFi and no phone reception prevent us giving it a 5 star as we needed to plan our trek for the next day. very exposed to the wind, so be mindful where you park

  • 5/5

Beautiful location, we stayed for 2 nights. There are everything what you need for a short holiday. Lake, river, mountain, trails in one location. absolutely beautiful.

  • 4/5

Amazing views of the lake from the motorhome pitches... Definitely a digital detox as there is no WiFi and the closest mobile network is 20mins walk away.... So do all your planning and download any maps you will need before you arrive... The facilities are very basic and there are no speakers or TVs allowed, just acoustic guitars and campfires (wood bought from the site)
