Stayed Thu night. Got there early morning with lots of spaces. Cars parked during day and leave in evening. Layby is 2 separate halves along same side of road. I parked in 1st but 2nd never got 100% full (better). Posh area so I didn't want to overstay my welcome. No issues but traffic passing is loud and wobbles the van. Good for enroute parkup.
Lots of space and no hassle. Stopped on a Friday night in late Feb, and the Stockbridge kebab van was the only thing here. It's quite exposed in winter. we found the speeding lorries rocked the Van about so we didn't get the best night's sleep. however, and excellent pub, the Peat Spade pub in Longstock 3mins drive away was brilliant.
Good spot,close to village amenities,gets busy early evening due to take away van ,turn up later and leave early to avoid hassle
