Our campsite is located at the foot of Schönbühel Castle, between Melk and Aggstein on the right bank of the Danube. On an area of around 7,000 m², with beautiful old trees, every camper will find a place to relax and unwind. The campsite is located directly on the Danube cycle path and a comfortable distance from the nearest road. There is a terrace with a winter garden directly on the site for drinks and small meals from Thursday to Sunday. Rooms and apartments offer a spectacular view of the Danube and Schönbühel Castle. Swimming opportunities can be found right on the doorstep - adventure, culture and nature - everyone gets their money's worth here. Schönbühel is the perfect starting point for various excursions and adventures. If you want to end the evening romantically, this is also the right place. The campsite faces west and offers the most beautiful sunsets in the Wachau in the evenings. Your safety is also well taken care of, the flood protection surrounds the campsite and offers our guests maximum safety.

Within the site there is a 'free zone' for tents and safe pitching of caravans, thanks to the treatment and trimming of trees up to 4m high, with the tree canopy preserved. One kilometer before getting here, you will come to a small bridge with an open boom gate and a road sign that says "no car entry." You may continue here; just be careful of cyclists and pedestrians. SERVICES: Electricity, utility water, toilets, showers, summer bar, grills, firepit, beach volleyball, ping pong, watersports (sailing, paddleboards, kayaks, windsurfing, electroboats, motorboat rides, etc.), and many other facilities are available. MARINA: Daily/monthly pontoon berthing and docking with water and electric connection, mooring, water slip with electrical winch, and boat trailer parking. OTHER: We recommend you try our rent-a-boat service. We have nice wooden electric boats for your enjoyment—easy to drive, with no experience or documents needed. It's one of the best ways to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
