almost inaccessible. dangerous in a van of any type. completely unsuitable for campers. do not attempt. doesn't look like the photo at all.
Petit parking hors route, accès par un chemin en herbe, pas tout à fait plat, mais pas terrible. Assez grand pour deux ou trois fourgons confortablement. À quelques pas de la rivière Dart pour une baignade. Très calme, à l'écart de la route principale. Aucun panneau interdisant le stationnement… mais c'est du Dartmoor, donc les règles habituelles s'appliquent, je suppose.
Small off road carpark, grass track to get in, not entirely level but not awful. Enough for 2-3 vans comfortably. Short walk to river dart for a swim. Very quiet, away from main road. No signs to say no parking…but is Dartmoor so standard rules apply I guess
Kleiner Parkplatz abseits der Straße, Zufahrt über Grasweg, nicht ganz eben, aber nicht schlimm. Bequem Platz für 2-3 Vans. Kurzer Fußweg zum Fluss Dart zum Schwimmen. Sehr ruhig, abseits der Hauptstraße. Keine Parkverbotsschilder … aber es ist Dartmoor, also gelten wohl die üblichen Regeln.
Pequeño aparcamiento fuera de la carretera, con acceso por pista de hierba, no del todo llano, pero tampoco terrible. Tiene espacio suficiente para dos o tres furgonetas cómodamente. Un corto paseo hasta el río Dart para darse un baño. Muy tranquilo, alejado de la carretera principal. No hay señales de prohibición de aparcamiento... pero es Dartmoor, así que supongo que se aplican las normas habituales.

wazzbot22/01/2026Nice spot, just be aware it can get quite muddy here. I got stuck in the mud with my van (road tyres) and had to be rescued.

Stayed here one night although your not supposed to. Very quiet just a few dog walkers and the farmer driving past once a day. Just about managed to get MWB van up the road but would not recommend
flipflopfilosopher08/07/2025Protect this spot at all costs! Such a gorgeous secluded spot, a little private glade to be honest. Correct that there is only one flat spot, took a bit of manoeuvring to find it, but it’s lovely. Please protect this place if you do come, obviously leave no trace, other than footprints. If you reach here, you’re unlikely to have any passing traffic other than ramblers, twitchers or butterfly enthusiasts.

PixelDog16/06/2025Stayed a couple nights here, absolutely stunning spot. On a Sunday I think some locals as a group met for hiking but otherwise it's very remote and quiet, out of the way of normal traffic. If you're in anything over ~2.3m you're gonna scrape a few overhead branches approaching, it's very dense. Larger motorhomes shouldn't attempt. Good 4g signal and no trouble with rangers. Only 1 level spot.
