(8650-450) Romano Rancho – Boutique off-grid farm stay

Stayed for 2 nights, the lane was muddy after heavy rain but perfectly manageable. We walked about a mile into the village which has a small shop and friendly cafe/bar. Peaceful environment to just unwind. This is a back to nature site so if you’re looking for 5 star luxury it’s not for you. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We wish you and your family every success in your venture.

I spent 3 peaceful nights here over Christmas. Lovely walks near by and the coast is 15-20min away. It’s quite basic at the moment as the hosts have only been there 8 months. A lovely, welcoming couple whom I shared a beer and a fire with on Christmas Eve. The hot shower was very welcome but felt 5 euros was a bit expensive.

Danke für eine wunderbare, ruhige und entspannte Weihnachtswoche bei euch <3 wegen starker Regenfälle mussten wir (3 Vans) länger als geplant bleiben, da der Weg vom Platz zu matschig war. Wir haben die Zeit genossen und wurden sogar mit Einkauf versorgt. Die Gastgeber sind super nett, hilfsbereit und um dein Wohl bedacht. wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

Really sweet owners, help you with what you need. It's very basisc but everything works properly.

Fantastic place! Basic facilities but all solar powered and in consideration with the environment. The hosts are super friendly and helpful and the sky by night is impressively beautiful. A lot of space and nature. Great place to calm down and rest. Would have loved to stay longer. PS: bring your own drinking water.

Merci pour ce chouette endroit naturel qui est bien localisé pour visiter toute la pointe sud et ouest . Très bon point de départ pour vélo Suite à la terrible tempête le terrain était humide mais nous n'avons pas eu de soucis pour sortir avec notre CC de 3,5t .mais nous avons été témoin de la venue d'un camion qui s'est embourbé suite à des manœuvres inappropriées et qui a abîmé le terrain

Leuke plek met enthousiaste eigenaars. Verwacht je niet aan grootse luxe, maar aan een authentieke plek waar duurzaam leven centraal staat.

rust en ruimte. basic camping in de natuur. heerlijk gewandeld. 5 dagen gestaan. kom hier zeker terug

Camping in opbouw. Is nu nog een weiland met een compost toilet. Weinig tot geen waterdruk toen wij er waren. Vriendelijke eigenaren, succes met de opbouw !

Wir haben drei Tage und Nächte an diesem wunderbaren Ort verbracht- genau richtig um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Uns hat es sehr gut getan! Die Beiden sind super sympathisch und haben schon eine Menge gestaltet auf ihrem großen Gelände. Danke für die schöne und erholsame Zeit bei euch! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Such a beautiful and quite place we’re stay for a couple of days. The owners are very gentle, the place is oriented to the nature and we appreciate that. The shower during the day it’s very warm but not too private, I think it’s something to work on it.

Le site est super mais il faut prendre la bonne route car le GPS fait passer au plus court par une route défoncée et dangeureuse.

Deze plek is precies zoals beschreven: open, stil, aardige mensen, ongecompliceerd. Een plek van rust, natuur en fijne gesprekken. De rit ernaartoe is wat hobbelig, maar zelfs grote campers kunnen er komen. Een prima plek om te verblijven als je Sagres en Lagos overdag wilt bezoeken. Een relaxte plek. Alles wat een mens nodig heeft! Als we weer in de buurt zijn komen we zeker weer.

Access is via a straight 800 m dirt road from the main road. after HEAVY rain it can become muddy, it's beyond our control, and better to ask before arriving. luxurious hot shower is available (for a small fee). We offer a boutique, off-grid nature experience with space, quiet and privacy, and more elements not found in typical campsites.

15 euro for 2 people, no electricity, lost in a meadows, which with the last rains has become a swamp and the road a large hole surrounded by small ones...and shower as told before only of there s sun. too expensive also for the Algarve.

Wir haben hier zwei ruhige Nächte verbracht. Ein einfacher Stellplatz mit sehr viel Ruhe und vielen Chillout-Areas. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Die Gastgeber sind super lieb und angenehm. Wir kommen aufjeden Fall wieder.

excellent accueil , lieu très agréable et paisible. Nous y avons passé deux journées superbes. Villages a proximité accessible en vélo et restaurant sympa et possibilité de faire quelques achats alimentaires.

Stellplatz ist „nur“ ein Wiese, es ist super ruhig und wunderschön. Dusche/Wasser gibt es nur wenn die Sonne scheint, kaum Wasserdruck aber sehr zweckmäßig. Alles in allem ein netter Platz.

an escape from the hussle and bussle of modern life. its not a 5 star luxury hotel, nor does it claim or try to be. if you have seen the film "Captain Fantastic" it reminds me of that. i got to bounce on a trampoline for the first time in many years

Les hotes sont très accueillants, l’endroit est calme et isolé ce qui est agréable également, mais c’est vrai qu’en terme de service il n’est pas possible d’utiliser de l’eau la nuit (faire sa vaisselle etc), la douche extérieure est complètement ouverte et ne bénéficie d’aucune intimité et n’est pas franchement chaude, les emplacements ne permettent pas d’être isolés les uns des autres non plus

I have been here in August, 15 to 18/08/2025 and it was a nice surprise for us. A calm place in the field, for resting and near enough of beaches and with all other basic needs. The owners are very friendly. We were only to stay for the night and we stayed for 2 or 3 days.

Super lieve hosts zijn Nati en zijn gezin. We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen, en ook tijdens ons verblijf heel fijne gesprekken. Hun ranch is nog in volle opbouw, maar de basisvoorzieningen zijn aanwezig! Voor kinderen ook zeker genoeg animatie om zich te amuseren. Zeker aan te raden voor een kort verblijf!

Sehr symphatische Gastgeber, die einem einen Einblick geben in ihr neues Leben, abseits von Luxus und Perfektion und im Einklang mit der Natur. Muy tranquilo. Nada de ruido por la noche. El lugar es totalmente acorde al comentario inicial de los dueños. Hay una ducha exterior con nada de intimidad, se ve todo desde fuera. El agua salía fría pero porque es con placa solar y por la mañana aún no se había calentado. Mejor ducharse por la tarde. El wc seco es aceptable. Para pasar una noche y estar cerca de Lagos está bien.

Wir waren zwei Nächte mit unserem Caddy dort und haben die Ruhe und die günstige Lage dort geschätzt. Der Stellplatzbereich ist sehr großzügig und eben. Wir wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Thomas und Vivien

Petit coin de paradis tenu par Reut et Nati, il y a beaucoup d’espace et tout ce qu’il faut niveau infrastructures. Les toilettes sèches sont très propres et agréables.

Un endroit agréable pour passer une nuit quand on visité l'Algarve. Propriétaires sympathiques. Douches et toilettes sèches à disposition. Seul petit bémol selon nous les différents emplacements relativement proches les uns des autres et qui se font face lorsqu'il y a beaucoup de monde, donc n'offrent pas beaucoup d'intimité. Nous avons passé un bon moment et nous recommandons cet endroit !

Assolutamente consigliato! Super tranquillo e silenzioso, curato e con proprietari molto gentili. Ha il bagno compostabile più bello dell’algarve :). Grazie! É stato un piacere trascorrere un po’ di tempo da voi!

très agréable,calme .le propriétaire est sympa les installations simples mais fonctionnelles,il y a de la place pour ne pas se gêner,manque juste un peu de charme mais ça viens d'ouvrir donc laissons leurs le temps de s'organiser.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farm campsite. The family is truly kind – they even welcomed us late at night, beyond the usual check-in hours, and made us feel at home right away. A special thanks to the father, who kindly helped us fix an issue with our van. The place itself is charming, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning nature. Highly recommended!

We stayed for one night and had the best sleep for a long time. We felt really welcomed and were fascinated how they are building their own self-sustainable environment. Everything was really clean. We would always come back.

Nichts, nur Frieden, Natur und Harmonie. Ein wundervoller Ort mit sehr liebevollen Gastgebern. Auch wenn der Platz sich noch im Aufbau befindet merkt man in allen Ecken die liebe zum Detail und einer entspannenden Atmosphäre.Außerdem gibt es für jeden Camper, alles was man braucht. Eine Dusche und eine Toilette. Wir kommen wieder! Danke nochmal an Reut und Nati für die wunderschöne Zeit!!!

espectacular lugar cerca de lagos para camper. no esperes lujos. pero hay mucha paz. tiene los servicios necesarios. y los dueños están haciendo un gran trabajo en un lugar con mucho potencial. llevan poco tiempo pero seguro que será un lugar increíble espero poder volver. recomendable 100%

Lovely little place to chill better than most campsites we stayed. Has a compostable loo and solar shower. Very quiet, reminds me of the Healing Fields at Glastonbury

Contents de trouver le calme dans le champs de Nati après la foule du bord de mer . Son petit havre de paix est en cours de construction . Il y a déjà une cabane perchée pour les enfants , un spot wifi 5/5 , toilettes sèches , douche en plein air . Le coin cuisine arrivera bientôt . Pour avoir la bonne route , 800 mètres gravillonnés envoyez un whatsapp à Nati qui vous donnera les instructions , sinon il vaut mieux un 4x4 !

Séjour merveilleux dans cet havre de paix. Je suis arrivé par hasard suite à une blessure au pied durant mon roadtrip Portugais et je me suis senti super bien accueilli dés mon arrivée. J’ai passé tous les soirs avec la famille et les autres résidents, à partager de bons moments de convivialité et de bonne nourriture. Je reviendrai pour sûr et j’ai hâte. La douche extérieure était très agréable.

Romano Rancho is a beautiful and quiet place. We're welcomed warmly and felt like arriving at a friend's home. The people are lovely and the two nights we stayed were calm and restful. The common area is shaded, has Wi-Fi and the compost toilet is well thought through.

Endroit calme et sympa dans la nature, belle vue depuis la colline à quelques mètres. Une douche fermée plus « intime » aurait été plus appréciée, néanmoins tout très propre.

Lovely people and really cute place, we highly recommend to come here ! Note that you cannot fill the water tank here or empty the dirty water, but you can go to the Intermarché in Sagres to do so

Wonderful place with cute family. All necessary like shower and beautiful toilet. Spaces with shadow. The village its also beautiful and authentic. We feel like home at Romano Rancho !

This place is exactly as described: open, silent, lovely people, uncomplicated. A place of peace, nature and great conversations. A bit of a bumpy drive up but even large motorhomes can get there. A good place to stay if you want to visit Sagres and Lagos during the day. A chill place.

Wir kamen als Fremde und gingen als Freunde. Ein großartiger Ort mit großartigen Gastgebern. Die Romanos teilen ihr Freiluftzuhause mit allen Gästen. Saubere Komposttoilette und Außendusche. Viele große und ebene Flächen. Zugang über einen sehr holprige Sandweg, aber langsam machbar. Wir kommen wieder.

Wonderful spot full of tranquility, joy& laughter. Super authentic& helpful family, who are open for a good chat& some coffee/beers together. Came as strangers, stayed a few days& left as friends. clean colorful facilities& adventurous for children. Please only go if U respect children,show solidarity & if you are happy without 220V & endless running (warm-)water:) All the best for the Romanos

Toller Platz, mit allem, was man braucht, liebevolle Gastgeber, die einem mit viel Wissen rund um die Gegend weiterhelfen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Super ruhiger, chilliger Ort mit sehr netter, gastfreundlichen Gastgebern. Saubere Toilette, Aussendusche und gefiltertes Wasser! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Nati's land is a peaceful place, calm and relaxing in the middle of the nature. The project is at the beginning with a lot of potential. We just stayed one night, warm welcoming, lovely people. During the night the sky full full of stars was just amazing! Recommended :)

Such an amazing place. I stayed here for more than six weeks renovating my campervan. Reut and Nati are warm and lovely people and we became good friends. I'll definitely be back! Make sure you take the right road. When you approach Barao Sao Miguel South from the main road, turn left. The road has some holes, but if you drive slowly, it's okay. I drove it many times without issues.

10/10, couldn’t recommend more, owners are so relaxed and friendly, helpful, and really interested in maintaining and enhancing the land. It’s a lovely project they’ve got going on a serious work in progress but that’s what makes it so special. Lovely toilet, they’ve got well water, and lots of shady spots. When we went it was super quiet and you could choose to park wherever you wanted. Like I say, couldn’t recommend more I can’t wait to come back next year and see how they’ve progressed

Einfach sein in friedlicher entspannter und sehr liebevoller Atmosphäre. Wir waren sehr froh diesen Ort gefunden zu haben , haben es sehr genossen und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Wir kommen gerne wieder und sind gespannt wie sich dieser Platz unter den fleißigen Händen von Reut und Nati entwickelt. Danke es war sehr schön!

Sehr herzliche Gastgeber, eine total ruhige Nacht und ein schönes Plumpsklo: was will man mehr. :) Hier kann man es sehr gut aushalten.

Suchen Sie einen Stellplatz mit Luxuriöser Ausstattung, fahren Sie Nicht hin. Suchen sie Natur, Herzlichkeit, Entspannung, den schönsten Ort, den sie finden können. Die beiden lieben Betreuer Nato und Romanie versuchen hier was Besonderes aufzubauen. Man ist herzlich willkommen und in deren Leben integriert. Die Zufahrt ist zwar etwas mühsam, doch allemal wert. Alles Gute Euch beiden. PD

Auch wenn die Zufahrt etwas bumpy ist, es lohnt sich auch mit größeren Wohnmobilen hierher zu kommen. Super gechillte Atmosphäre, Entspannung pur. Von hier aus lassen sich schöne Wanderungen und MTB Touren unternehmen. Das beste aber sind die zwei Gastgeber Nati und Reut und ihre zwei Jungs! Super lieb und immer hilfsbereit, es könnte besser nicht sein. Hope to see again at some point!

You may question your life choices when you hit the track (come from the village!). Just take it slow,it's doable even in a big camping car and SOOOO worth it. Reut, Nuni and their two boys are beautiful people. Rancho Ranch is set deep in nature but even on hot days there tends to be a breeze. Amazing people in a fantastic spot. We'll definitely see you all again!

Merci pour ce lieu enchanteur ! Attention à la route et ne pas se fier à Google maps ou Waze. Nous avons fait 4km de piste cabossée alors qu'on aurait pu l'éviter et ne faire que quelques centaines de mètres;) Passer par le village de Barao de San Miguel semble être une meilleure option.

Nous avons passé une super soirée et nuit chez cette petite famille ! Un lieu paisible, au milieu de la nature. Arrivées et départs très flexibles, tout en détente. Bonne continuation !

Great place to stay. Very warm welcome. The family is lovely and extremely helpful. You cannot empty your toilet cassette but you can empty the grey water. We would totally recommend. Lovely walk up for amazing views Large space for dogs and children. Thank you so much for this place.

Eine wundervolle, naturverbundene und bodenständige Familie, die wir drei Tage besuchen durften. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben, mussten aber weiter. Genügend Fläche ist vorhanden. Kinder sind hier auch gut aufgehoben. Holprige Zufahrtsweg, mit Gelassenheit aber problemlos zu meistern. Maximale Erfolge für euer unterstützenswertes Projekt!

siamo arrivati in questo posto per caso, ma siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi. i proprietari sono molto gentili e accoglienti. un’oasi di pace e tranquillità. È piacevole parlare con i ragazzi perché hanno girato il mondo e raccontano piacevoli avventure. Grazie per la bella esperienza e per averci fatto conoscere nuove realtà.
