Parking départ de randonnée, pas de panneau interdisant le parking de nuit, on s'éloigne de l'autoroute comparé au parking plus bas. Le parking n'est pas très droit mais offre beaucoup de places, une pompe à vélo et des outils. des toilettes sont en cours de construction. La nuit a été très calme avec un petit cours d'eau a côté pour nous bercer
Hiking start parking, no sign prohibiting overnight parking, we are moving away from the highway compared to the parking lot below. The parking lot is not very straight but offers plenty of spaces, a bicycle pump and tools. Toilets are under construction. The night was very calm with a small stream next to rock us
Parkplatz am Anfang des Wanderwegs, kein Schild, das das Übernachtparken verbietet. Wir sind weiter von der Autobahn entfernt als der Parkplatz weiter unten. Der Parkplatz ist nicht gerade, bietet aber ausreichend Stellplätze, eine Fahrradpumpe und Werkzeug. Toiletten werden gerade gebaut. Die Nacht war sehr ruhig, und ein kleiner Bach in der Nähe wiegte uns in den Schlaf.

The location felt secure and very tranquil atmosphere. There is an ample amount of room for any campervan. The only drawback is the slight incline of approximately -5. However, all in all, it is a decent spot for a one-night stay. Arrived with a 7-meter Sprinter van and encountered no problems navigating the narrow street.
Rustige nacht gehad bij het prachtige natuurgebied. Enige was dat tot laat er nog auto's aan kwamen rijden en na een tijdje weer weg gingen. Wij werden met rust gelaten. Geen lawaai van de weg of iets dergelijks. Bovenkant parkeren met levelers en je staat recht.
Nice spot only 10 minutes walk to the bus to Edinburgh (20 minutes bus ride to Edinburgh city center) and starting point for hiking in the Pentland Hills National Park. No services, the toilettes are still under construction.
Achtung: Der Platz an sich ist nicht schlecht, wir hatten eine ruhige Nacht. Jedoch wurde während wir am Frühstück waren ca. 50 Meter entfernt 2 Scheiben bei einem Auto eingeschlagen und div. Sachen gestohlen.
Access via narrow lane with overgrown branches hanging into the road and large potholes – managed it in VW Crafter. The car park has slope (~5%), so I used levelling blocks. No other vans, just 4–5 cars with people sleeping in them. Solo travellers may not feel comfortable. It’s close to the motorway but far enough that noise isn’t an issue. Quiet spot overall. I stayed the night out of tiredness.
Très bon lieu. Conforme à la description, pas de restrictions, gratuit. Toilettes construites mais non opérationnelles. Calme mais départ de nombreux randonneurs tôt le matin.
good size car park, on a bit of a slant but if you park in the top corner you can find a flat spot. toilets are still closed. quite car park at night lovely walk by the resivour.
Keep driving past the scout place. It's narrow and windy for a bit but it opens to a good-sized car park. the toilets still aren't open and as others have pointed out, not much flat parking (some spots are mostly flat). But overnight seems to be allowed, there's plenty of room, and it's quiet and beautiful.
