Great stopover. Landlord(and lady) were very welcoming and no issues with parking. There was one other motorhome during my stay but plenty of room for at another 3. Unfortunately I arrived after they had stopped serving food but the next time I come I'll make sure to make teatime. I was on my own and was made to feel very comfortable with the locals in the pub.
Nice quiet place for the night. very friendly owner! the food was very good and there is about two spaces for 7.5m campers. will definitely visit again if ever in the area
Fab Free Camper-van Stopover, plenty of space for around 5-6 camper van’s could fit 2-3 smaller Motor homes at a push. Owners are very friendly and will go out their way to help you out, even move some benches to fit you in. Food is great and drink is even better. Dog friendly. Toilet available during open times also bins and water on site. If you ask the owners they will help you where they can.
HUGE carpark where? 7.5 metre motorhome and could not even turn around. Front yard full of benches.
really good over night flat car park. meals were excellent and owners very friendly and helpful. big garden with playpark for kids and a lovely wooded riverside walk.
The licensee, Tanya and her son Jamie made us feel very welcome. They kindly allowed us to park our motorhome in the corner of their car park for the night. To eat Julia had a cheeseburger and I went for the Bridge Burger both served with really tasty chips and coleslaw - Delicious. Tanya let us fill our water tank from the tap behind the garage and empty our bins.
Stayed again inJuly 25. Great little pub with huge car park. New Hosts Paul and Kat were very welcoming and the locals are friendly. We ate and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. We will definitely be staying here again. Advisable to ring and book as it will soon be very popular, free if you eat or drink in pub. New benches added to the car park but still plenty of room to turn around.
