Not accurate description, definitely not permitted to stay here overnight. Us and some other vans were kindly approached by local, one fella felt adventurous in their ego and challenged him, rudely asking who he is etc. No wonder locals are getting upset. We left, and called the Municipality to confirm. It is illegal to stay there overnight, all the way from Lourenco to Sintra unless specified

same here. followed the reviews and thought it was legit. it wasn’t. ended up having a nice chat with some local guys, the situation is getting quite heated evidently. too many campers are being disrespectful towards the rules and rude with locals. we moved to the campsite we all need to do our part to keep spots clean and maintain good relations with the locals. let’s not ruin this for everyone

We stayed in Ericeira for a couple of nights, and were shocked by the amount of toilet paper trash and waste left behind. The locals are getting furious, and it's causing a lot of tension. We have been informed it’s forbidden to park anywhere in town, no sign atm is due to parking being newly built We ended up sleeping at the campsite across the street out of respect and to avoid any conflicts
