Parking gratuit, très sympa pour partir a la randonnée vers Old man of storr. 10min à pied pas plus. Ça nous a permis d’économiser 5£, en arrivant tôt (8h), il n’y avait presque personne. Par contre nous recommandons pas pour dormir, les voitures passent relativement vite à côté (route limitée à 103km/h). Continuez un peu votre chemin et vous trouverez d’autres emplacements plus sympa pour dormir.
Unhibousauvage23/06/2025Petit parking gratuit au bord de la route très passante, idéal pour partir en rando voir le Old Man of Storr (environ 10 minutes à pied). Nous avons passé la nuit dans la voiture (normalement nous dormons en tente) ; les voitures qui passent à côté font parfois tout bouger mais c'est largement supportable, si votre voiture est assez hermétique au bruit. Belle vue sur la mer.

jch60026/08/2024Bueno para aparcar y visitar Man of Storr, no recomiendo para nada dormir, la peor noche en mi vida de autocaravanista. Los coches pasan muy rápido a 50 cm de tu autocaravana y continuamente se balancea todo. No aparqueis fuera de estos sitios habilitados, multa la policía siempre.

El sitio en general está bien ,es un lugar a pie de carretera pero con más espacio que otros ,he pasado el 21 de agosto la noche aquí.Hace un viento de mil demonios y la lluvia igual.Estamos un par de campers y autocaravanas.No puedo hablar de las vistas pq hace temporal
Martybhoy14/08/2024We parked on this long lay-by in a 7.3m MH to access the path up to “the old man”. Skye gets too many MHs but it’s simply a victim of its own success. The island could be making a fortune with day and overnight parking if it’s just followed other examples. The MHs will never stop now. If I lived on the island I would increase the size of my drive and rent it out, others places have done this !

Direkter Blick auf den Old man of Stoer und 500m bis zum Aufstieg. Kostenlos im Vergleich zum offiziellen Parkplatz. Daher total okay. Aber direkt an der Straße, abends wird es etwas ruhiger mit dem Verkehr. Schwierig mit den Pfützen und Wasser, welches die Midges deutlich anzieht. Relativ spät kommen und früh aufsteigen lohnt hier, ansonsten sollte man sich das überlegen.

Très bon emplacement pour faire la rando d’old man of storr le matin. Plusieurs campings cars se garent sans problème. Début de la rando à 10-12mn à pied.

Parking en bord de route, gratuit et officiel ! Ne vous garez surtout pas là où il y a la double ligne jaune... Tous ceux que j'ai vu ont reçu une amende !! Parfait pour le départ de randonnée
