Moved here from another spot early hours as the the wind was horrific, 2 Lorrie’s and a motorhome was already in place, lovely flat solid parking the trees also dampen any road noise too not that the road was that busy through the night, would definitely return again. Food truck arrived in the morning too loverly bacon and egg bap recommend both.
Large layby by a main road. Field and river to the other side. Relatively quite. Great for a one night stopover and close to Matlock. Catering van was here the following morning.
Moved on by friendly PCSO at 9pm. Offered alternative places within the area.
We arrived quite late on & there was already 3 motor homes & a van parked up, still plenty of space after us. Set slightly off the road but could still hear traffic noise - it didn’t bother us at all. Very dark but nothing a phone torch didn’t sort. Would definitely recommend & use again. We had an early start but would hopefully have time to wait for the early morning view next time.
We had an overnight stay here July 2022 a little bit noisy but plenty of room, breakfast at the cob van 2eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 black pudding tomato, beans, mushrooms, fried bread and bread and butter £6. DON’T PARK OPPOSITE THE TABLE AND CHAIRS as this is where the cob van parks, you may be woken up at 06:45 and asked to move.
Great stay, perfectly level and a nice dog walk a couple of minutes walk up the road on the opposite side. Cars coming and going until approx 11pm but then quiet until morning.
Stopped for a night. One other motorhome and a small lorry. No problems. Flat, a bit of noise from the road. Cafe van was there at 7 am when I woke up. Good stopover - now en route to Bakewell for the day.
