best place to park for free in windsor, just a few minutes walking to the castle. we stayed for 1 night and the whole next day and we had any prblem. thx for the place!
Route de campagne à deux pas d'Eton College et avec une vue fantastique sur le château de Windsor le long de la Tamise. Passent souvent des promeneurs de chiens ou des cyclistes. Ne convient pas aux grands camping-cars.
Countryside road within a stones throw of Eton College and with fantastic views of Windsor castle along the river Thames. Often dog walkers or cyclists passing by. Not suitable for large motor homes. Free parking, no restrictions.
Landstraße nur einen Steinwurf vom Eton College entfernt und mit fantastischem Blick auf Schloss Windsor entlang der Themse. Oft laufen Spaziergänger oder Radfahrer vorbei. Nicht für große Wohnmobile geeignet.

BeateIrland07/06/2024Die Lage ist unschlagbar für umsonst. Am Ende der Straße ist ein Parkplatz, der ruft 15 Pfund auf für > 5 Stunden. Ich stehe in Parkbuchten und bin etwas besorgt, weil dort Glassplitter einer defekten Autoscheibe liegen. Es ist auch schmutzig und riecht. Dennoch: in ein paar Minuten ist man am Schloss und in 2 Minuten direkt am Fluß.

We went here, to visit the Castle (at walking distance). REMEMBER TO NOT PARK ON THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINES, otherwise you May het fined (You have to know it). For the night we stayed at the parking Spaces a little further in the Street (see other spot on park4night)

Lots of potential places along this stretch of lane. As it was very empty and I would have been quite exposed on the main part (it's not obvious from the picture where the vehicles are parked) I chose to park just past a couple of parked cars at the Eton playing fields end. It was a very quiet night despite being a Friday.

Lovely quiet spot, in a country lane, suitable for smaller vans. Only a short stroll to Eton and Windsor Castle, along the river. Shaded by trees so we didn't roast when the sun came up on a very hot weekend. One other van there when we stayed, plus a few parked cars. Not in the least bit bothered by planes or trains. A few joggers in the morning though, so not total privacy. Would recommend.
