council has put up barriers and a gate so we can't get on , sign saying no camping

Nuitée gratuite avec des toilettes publiques, bonnes et propres à distance de marche. Réveillez-vous avec une vue! Faites attention aux cailloux : à certains endroits, ils sont plus gros et vous risquez de vous coincer. Faites également attention aux vents forts sur la côte. Vous êtes à une dizaine de mètres de la ligne de marée haute aux hautes eaux. Nous sommes donc partis lorsqu'une tempête avec un vent de force 8 est arrivée. De plus, plusieurs écoles de surf à proximité.
Nice place for several campers on a pebble beach with a view over the bay of Keel Strand. Many surfers and kite surfers and related sportsmen come here. Free overnight stay with public, good and clean toilets within walking distance. Wake up with a view! Pay attention to the pebbles: in some places they are larger and you have a chance of getting stuck. Also maybe watch out for strong winds right on the coast. You are about ten meters from the high tide line at high water. We therefore left when a storm with wind force 8 arrived. Furthermore, several surf schools nearby.
Schöner Platz für mehrere Camper an einem Kiesstrand mit Blick über die Bucht von Keel Strand. Viele Surfer und Kitesurfer und verwandte Sportler kommen hierher. Kostenlose Übernachtung mit öffentlichen, guten und sauberen Toiletten zu Fuß erreichbar. Aufwachen mit Aussicht! Achten Sie auf die Kieselsteine: An einigen Stellen sind sie größer und Sie können stecken bleiben. Achten Sie auch auf starke Winde direkt an der Küste. Bei Hochwasser sind Sie etwa zehn Meter von der Flutlinie entfernt. Wir sind deshalb abgereist, als ein Sturm mit Windstärke 8 aufzog. Außerdem mehrere Surfschulen in der Nähe.
Leuke plek voor meerdere campers aan een kiezelstrand met uitzicht over de baai van Keel Strand. Veel surfers en kitesurfers en aanverwante sporters komen hier. Gratis overnachting met openbare, goede en schone toiletten op loopafstand. Wakker worden met uitzicht! Let op de kiezelstenen: op sommige plekken zijn ze groter en heb je kans dat je vast komt te zitten. Kijk ook uit voor harde wind direct aan de kust. Bij hoogwater zit je zo'n tien meter van de vloedlijn. We vertrokken daarom toen er een storm met windkracht 8 aankwam. Verder diverse surfscholen in de buurt.

Mnpainters6719/09/2023Beautiful beach to stay at . We stayed for three nights 15/9/23 and it was very peaceful you could only hear the waves . Public toilets 500 meters away.

Great surfing beach. We were disappointed with the view as parking is behind the pebble dune, so not much of a view of the sea. Toilets are 500 metres down the road.

We parked just before this in a pebbled car park area with a small dune protecting us from the strong winds. Lovely and peaceful spot, right on the beach edge and near the public toilets and bins. Perfect place to sit on your roof and eat breakfast with a beautiful view!

Fantastic beach. Excellent location. If you keep driving down the road there are lots of areas to park. I stayed 2 nights and loved everything. The toilets were clean and the bins were well maintained.

Effectivement, le lieu est superbe. malheureusement la nuit que nous y avons passé était très venté. on ne peut pas tout avoir! un grand espace pour de nombreux vans et camping car en compagnie des moutons.

Fabulous place to stay, kids had a ball in the playground and cycling their bikes on the big green. The beach is amazing. Both pubs in the area are lovely one severs food and and it was delicious, the second pub is drinks only no food and it has a great atmosphere for watching matches. Would definitely recommend staying here for a couple of nights.

Fagabanti20/07/2023Quel bonheur de se réveiller avec une vue si extraordinaire . Nous étions seul ce mardi . Cela peut éventuellement souffler mais dans notre cas nous n’avons eu soucis .
Carjan22/06/2023Een prima plek, zeer rustig geslapen. We reden verder door op het weggetje tot het kiezelstrand. Mooier uitzicht en veel rustiger. Wel ver van het toilet daar maar ook verder van de rest

Super Platz, um die tolle Aussicht aufs Meer und die Landschaft zu genießen. Wir hatten komplett unsere Ruhe und keine Probleme mit den Steinen. Sehr schöner Platz!

Superplaats maar in het weekend drukker. Achter is een weide die vol met tenten stond met de nodige drank. Het strand zelf is superb, zelfs gaan zwemmen. Uitzicht prima maar op deze plaats amper plaats voor 4 campers. Opletten waar je rijdt want zijn maar 2 oprij plaatsen op de kiezel die hard genoeg zijn anders rij je je vast wat een camper en auto overkomen was toen wij daar waren.

Très bon emplacement pour passer une nuit à l'abri des dunes de galets. Espace pouvant accueillir une bonne quinzaine de camping cars. Derrière la dune, une immense plage de sable fin très plate. Beaucoup de surfeurs, ce qui fait un beau spectacle.

Prima plek op de kiezelstenen: prachtig uitzicht over het strand: veel surfers en dagjes mensen ( 1 mei dus een vrije dag in Ierland) Toiletten naast de ingang van de camping: super schoon: in deze buurt sowieso heel veel plek voor campers

Hi all, I parked here Saturday 29th October 2022. This spot has super views and a great beach. I recommend any would be traveler to consider parking here during normal weather conditions, unfortunately the wind strength increased significantly during my stop making my van rock too much during the night. So I decided to move to a more sheltered stop. Would definitely stop here again:-)
