Amazing little spot. £10 in the honesty envelope. A 5min walk to toilets and showers (chargeable as per description). Clean and tidy. Local pub does food and distillery tour is worth doing. Amazing views. Peaceful and quiet.

Fantastic location. Now seems to be no limit for the number of vans - was previously 5. Water available for £1. £10 to stay the night using a QR code or cash in the honesty box. Someone does come around to check you’ve paid. Put your registration on the envelope provided for the honesty box - we noticed the envelope afterwards. Well worth the £10!

Heerlijke plek. Dobberende bootjes kijken. We zijn drie nachten blijven plakken. 10 pond per nacht, 1 pond voor 50 liter water, ruimte voor zeker 12 campers, gerund door de community, net als de minimarket in het dorp. Er zijn een gezellig cafe/restaurant, The Old Inn, en niet superschone maar goede warme douches (1 pond) en wc's (50 cent). Voor een rondleiding bij Talisker is reserveren nodig

A bit excessive the price for just a parking lot. Day and night 15£ with no services at all. Bathrooms? You need to pay anyway. We were caught in a storm in the mountains and we found shelter here, but too expensive.

Parked here 1st September 25 with no issues. Honesty box for payment at £10 per night. Closest toilets and showers are a 3 minute walk or at the Old Mill Inn which is a 5 minute away. Quiet, clean and safe area with a great view

Flat tarmac parking area with plenty of space for multiple vans when parked considerately. Paid via the honesty box system. Volunteer does come round and check. Good showers & toilets accessible for a small fee within a short walk. Good local pub nearby for food too.

La vue est imprenable, nous nous sommes arrêtés juste pour prendre de l’eau mais ce n’est pas une affaire il est indiqué 1£ pour 50l nous avons eu 15l pour 1£ donc prévoyez bien vos pièces…

Parcheggio facile da trovare, un po’ meno bagni e docce ma il proprietario che passa a controllare i pagamenti è stato molto cordiale e ci ha indicato la posizione, cambiandoci anche le monete. Doccia 1£ per 2 minuti (solo monete) e WC a 0,5£ (ok con carta). Notte tranquilla anche se il tempo non è stato clemente.

Haben hier nur unseren Frischwassertank aufgefüllt. Der Platz sieht ruhig, sauber und Windstill aus.

Haben wir notgedrungen auf dem Parkplatz übernachtet. Etwas teuer für "nur" einen Parkplatz (10£/night). Abends kam der Wächter zur Kontrolle. War sehr ruhig und als Notlösung ideal. Gegenüber der Destillerie-Parkplatz befindet sich ein Häusschen mit zwei WCs und zwei Duschen. Einlass über kontaktlose Bezahlung möglich, zum Duschen selbst benötigt es 1£ Münzen (1£ für 2 min Wasser).

Très agréable coin du port pour profiter d'une nuit au calme. La douche chaude et WC sont appréciables aussi. les agents qui s'occupent du sport et de cet espace sont venus nous saluer de façon très agréable pour s'assurer que tout allait bien et qu'on avait passé une bonne nuit.

Zeer leuke plek aan de pier en haven van Carbost. Grote parking en zeer geliefd bij campers dus op tijd aanzetten als je een plekje wil bemachtigen. Goed onderhouden. Wij hebben er verse makreel en mosselen gevangen. Ons avondeten kwam recht uit de zee. Mooi uitzicht, een plaatje…

Excellent facility run by local friendly helpful volunteers. Wish there were more of those overnight areas around. Very cheap at £10 a night, with toilets, showers, coffee shop & good pub all within walking distance. A campers dream. We stayed here a couple of years ago & wow what a difference those volunteers have made. It’s worth every penny so please be sure to use the honesty box

Brilliant spot, close to the distillery and local pubs. Honesty box when you drive in, option to pay cash (put into slip into the box) or via bank transfer (PayPal) if you don’t have cash. Even better is the HOT showers and toilet block literally 2 minute walk from the park. 50p to get into the toilet block, and then £1 per 2 minute of shower (coin only). A drinking water tap also (£1 for 50L)

What a great stop overlooking pier, quite and peaceful especially in the Evening £1 50ltrs water £10 overnight we parked tor the Day also £5 and had a great Lunch , 2 mins walk to coffee shop, Talisker distillery and 5 mins to The New inn Great views and Beer

Great spot for loch views / honest box the guy did come knocking to ask / can also pay via pay pal / enough for 5 vans / kids loved watching the local heron and boats coming in / out. Was great in the storm as offered some shelter and protection.

Wir haben bereits mittags hier für 5 Pfund geparkt, weil wir nach dem Genuss des Whiskys direkt nebenan bei Talisker nicht mehr umparken wollten. Nach einem schönen Besuch im „Old Inn“ haben wir dann hier für 10 Pfund - zusammen mit 7 anderen Campern sehr gut übernachtet. Abends kam ein sehr freundlicher Mann und hat überprüft, ob bar oder über QR- Code gezahlt wurde.

Gute Aussicht, direkt am Wasser, gut gelegen für den Besuch der Talisker-Destillerie. Nacht kostet 10£, man kann es via Paypal zahlen. Sowohl das Frischwasser als auch Duschen sind nur mit Münzen bezahlbar, was etwas absurd ist, da gefühlt alles andere Bargeldlos bezahlt werden kann, einen Geldautomaten gibt es leider auch nicht.

This is not a camping spot, although it charges like it.In a place with literally dozens of free places to park, it seems to me that charging £10 just to park and extras for water and showers is a bit much. Overall, it was a nice scenic and quiet place

super spot au bord du port. nous avons un CC de 7.50 m plus vélos, nous ne savions pas trop où nous mettre, un des bénévoles present nous a tres gentiment aidé à nous garer. Nous avons fait le tour de la petite ville sympa. La distillerie ferme à 17h. Nous avons payé 10 livres à déposer dans la boîte à lettres prévue avec stylo et enveloppe .Nous avons passé une nuit très calme.

Sehr schöne asphaltierter Stellplatz, direkt neben der Talisker Destille. Parkgebühren tagsüber 5 £, über Nacht 10£. Und ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß die Strasse rauf liegt der Oyster Shed,! Sehr zu empfehlen für alle, die Fisch und Schalentiere mögen.

£10 to pay overnight on which you add £1 in coin for water, £0.50 to get access to the toilet/shower block, £1 for two minutes in the shower: if you don’t have any coins, it is not the place for you. Unfortunately, I would say that it is not worth £10 and the signs should be clearer: £10 don’t give you access to water/shower/toilet, you have to pay extra. I wouldn’t recommend it, but view is nice

amazing night spent here last night. very quiet toilets just down road 50p and showers that you can pay for worth £10 that you put in the honesty box. 5 minutes walk to the pub by the distillery which was amazing food portions were huge about £16 to £18 for main meal. On a Thursday night they have live scottish musicians ended up stopping till 2am. free pool table. best night of our holiday.

Great spot directly in front of the lagoon. Friendly person who collects the money. The water is out of service for the winter unfortunately. Short walk to the oyster shack, distillery and clean toilets/showers.

Nice and quiet, right next to Talisker distillery. Showers and toilets nearby and the community shop sells Calor LPG tanks. £1 for 50L water (you need coins and a hose) Great spot especially since there is no actual motorhome campsites open in the winter season around the island.

Great find for camper van parking to walk around the Talisker distillery and have a tasting ! Didn’t stay the night but even during the day it seems really peaceful

Great find, £10 for overnight parking via an honesty box. We pitched up in a roof tent and didn't have any problems. There are toilets and showers a 5 minute walk away and a great village pub with live Scottish music

Right on the loch, and an easy walk into town to go to the pub. Only downside is to pay £1 for min 50l of water and toilets are 50p.

Stunning place, worth getting there early and heading up the road to visit The Old Inn or the community shop. Lovely gentleman came to check we had paid as it’s a community run spot, and pointed us in the direction to get water for our van. Perfect place to sit and watch the sun set.

Amazing place. Felt very safe, nice views, make sure you pay l. The envelopes are under the sign or you will get a knock on the door to check you paid online. I had no internet on 3 network but wife’s O2 was fine. Coffee was good from opposite the distillery. it opens at 10am

We really really enjoyed our night here and waking up to such a magnificent view – parking for the night very reasonable and very safe with lots of other motorhomes and campers around us – lovely field quiet and a lovely stroll down to the old in for a beautiful meal and a charming Town that made us feel very welcome

Schöne Aussicht! Man steht direkt am Wasser. Das abendliche Anklopfen, um sicherzustellen, dass man bezahlt hat, erfolgt etwas ruppig. Der Parkplatz bietet keinerlei Dienstleistungen. Man erreicht die örtlichen Toiletten und Duschen gegenüber der Destillerie.

Dans une marina. Très beau spot. Calme. Magnifique vue mais super galère en terme d’orga : zéro réseau. Paiement par cb fastidieux et pas d’accueil. Attention les douches ne sont accessibles qu’avec des pièces. Les toilettes heureusement sont accessibles en cb. 50c. Allez comprendre… une personne passe le soir et toque à votre vitre pour vérifier que vous avez payé… pas du tout apprécié.

Buenísimo para dormir! Con lo complicado que es encontrar sitios para pasar la noche, 10 £ x noche no está pagado! Además tienes vistas impresionantes al lago Harport. Se puede llenar agua por 1£ -50litros, nos ha parecido que no cuenta muy bien los litros pero sigue siendo barato. La única pega es que no puedes vaciar ni negras ni grises.

Really enjoyed our stay there. Price is worth it. Please take your grey water with you. There is no place to leave it and nature doesn’t want to get destroyed by you. We saw a camper who just let it go. We asked him what he’s doing. Even if you are using „biological degradable“ washing liquid - means just that it’s degradable by the bacteria in a sewage treatment plant not compostable in nature!

Campeggio a pagamento con toilet (a pagamento) a 5 minuti a piedi. Nei pressi si trova anche un pub molto affollato in estate. Bella vista sul loch se si è nella fila davanti. Pochi midges ma era ventilato quando siamo andati noi.

Goede plek bij een haventje vlakbij de Talisker distilleerderij, met uitzicht op het meer voor ca. 8-10 campers. 10 GBP voor een overnachting te betalen via een contante donatie in de honesty box of Paypal. Er komt wel iemand langs om te checken of je gedoneerd hebt ;-) waterpunt op het terrein, toilet en douche tegen betaling op loopafstand. Afvalbakken ook.

Staying with friends nearby, so didn’t stay overnight, but a lovely little spot. Rare find in this area. The suggested donation of £10 goes back into the community. Such a shame that we heard of someone dumping their chemical toilet in the Loch! Please don’t abuse this facility, as otherwise it will be removed.

Best stop we found in skye. Got a beautiful view at the edge of the loch to set up camp :)

Wir hatten eine ruhige Nacht. Kurzer Fußweg zum pub und gutes Essen dort. Services haben wir nicht benutzt.

super Nacht gehabt! war ruhig, gestern Abend war im Pub noch Livemusik umsonst (abgesehen von Getränkepreisen natürlich) und eine schöne Aussicht. Klasse mit einem Hund! kostenloses Trinkwasser unten am Steg, oben kann man die 5£ auffüllen.

Nice little spot near a fantastic pub and the distillery. £10 overnight or £5 for the day. Didn't know how long we'd be staying so hadn't paid yet and chap came and knocked on our window at 9am asking for money. Can pay with cash or by QR code. As others said toilets/showers are available in town a few hundred meters along the road (opposite the distillery).

Notice for over night stops but we didn’t have the cash on us. if you go to the honesty box there is a QR Code that takes you to a payment link. All sorted and what a beautiful spot to stay at. Showers,Toilets and Water all available within a short walk and small charge.

Beautiful view with no noise but the water. Flat. The restroom and shower is a five min walk. Need credit card to enter and coins for the shower. About 15 spaces here. Still some empty by nightfall. The ones along the water are excellent with grass next to the space. Nice park next to the lot.

Excellent park up. Peaceful nights sleep with fantastic views .We stayed 2 nights put £10 in an envelope each night and pop it in the honesty box. Visited the talisker distillery and highly recommend the short walk up the hill to the Oyster Shed, fantastic mouth watering food. Also a lovely pub The Old Inn a short walk in the village.

Great stopover spot. Well worth the £10 overnight fee, we actually paid the extra £5 to stay all day. 10 vans in total the night we stayed (26/04/2024) Great views to wake up to. Walked up to the Old Inn pub for an excellent evening meal & drink, a group of locals were very entertaining!.

Great spot for a stopover if you are visiting the distillery and you want to sample! Met the friendly local who looks after it. Stopping over night is £10 via honesty box regardless of the time you arrive. 8 vans and motorhomes when we stopped. It would have fitted a couple more smaller vans. Showers and toilets just up the road in village.

A great spot with a lovely view. There is a nice pub serving food within walking distance. The price is £10 via an honesty box at the entrance. A friendly and helpful gentleman came around in the morning to check everyone had paid. Thank you to the community for providing such a nice park up.

Amazing spot, paid £10 on the app. Locals who run it all come by in the morning, all lovely to chat to! Toilets and showers local (contactless for toilets coins needed for shower) right next to the distillery so great for a tour! Says max 5 campers however out of season (checked with the guys running it) and we’re happy for more as people moved on quickly. Would stay again!!

Please be HONEST folks! Pay the very reasonable £10 and don’t steal from the community who run this place. Had a wonderful stay here. Quiet, flat, decent toilets/shower down the road, water tap £1, distillery, pub, cafe!Talked to one of the friendly locals who help manage this. There are plans to expand the facilities to black waste etc but we need to pay for what’s currently provided first!

We arrived at 10am wanting to stay the day and night in our campervan. The pricing is quite confusing and asked one of the staff members. He confirmed it would be £10 and asked us to put the money in the donation box. The view is amazing and it’s very quiet all day and night. There are also paid toilets and showers a 5 minute walk away in the village.

Betalen in de honesty box. Mooie plek dichtbij Talisker. Daardoor een goeie plek om na een Wiskey proeverij te blijven slapen. Wij hadden heel mooi weer en hebben ‘s ochtends zelfs gezwommen in het water.

Decent little park up for the night. Facilities are really well maintained at the coffee shop near the loos is the best I’ve had on Skye. Water can be filled at the end of the pier for £1 but you cannot park in that spot. It’s wide enough to turn large van easily and hose already attached to filling station. Good phone reception and good spot for a morning swim too. The Old Inn pub does fantastic food (Chowder by far the most delicious) has a great vibe and live music

On 13/9 the very clear signs were in place at 4pm saying 5 campers only - sorry full tonight. Some campers either have great difficulty in reading or counting. This facility that local volunteers have provided gets regularly abused with over crowding & non payment which spoil it for the honest campers who come to enjoy the facility. Please adhere to the rules.

nous y avons passé plusieurs nuits lors de notre séjour sur Skye. c est la tranquillité assurée.. ne pas oublier de payer 10 £ dans la honnesty box. tout cela est bien surveillé. très sympa comme lieu, il est aussi possible de pecher depuis le ponton, les maquereaux sont souvent présents.

Got the last spot at 6pm. The guy let 1 or 2 campers stay after us but kicked out the other ones who tried… he is well verifying the payement. Great place but he started to mow the lawn at 8:30am, 2m from the campers… toilets and shower near distillery : you need to pay 50p by card to enter the block, and then shower at 1£ for 2min

Toller Platz, vielen Dank an die Freiwilligen, die das Angebot möglich machen. Man steht dort wunderbar ruhig. Morgens kommt ein freundlicher Mensch zum Kontrollieren. Das “Old Inn” im Ort ist sowohl für Dinner als auch Breakfast sehr zu empfehlen.

super Platz! direkt am Wasser und prima zum Makrelenfischen. 5 min entfernt sind Toiletten und Duschen jedoch zum Bezahlen und nicht sehr gepflegt - in der Dusche war der Abfluss verstopft sodass nach kürzester Zeit alles im Duschbereich unter Wasser stand. aber Aussicht und Standplatz toll

Would have been the perfect stop for us, had the weather been nice, or we had 4G (needed for work). Unfortunately due to neither we only stopped for lunch, but I wanted to rate it so others are aware of the lack of 4G - I am aware this is also a good thing for lots of people ☺️

Parking right on the waters edge. Only allow 5 motorhome a per night, and then they close the car park. On the night we stayed, the car park was full but each van left one space between, so there was plenty of room around the van. Peaceful at night. Short walk into the village, to the pub, Talisker distillery, shop and toilet block. Oyster Shack, up the road, is a must too.

Nous n'avons pas pu dormir par manque de place. L'eau se situe sur la plateforme d'accostage des bateaux à environ 150m du parking. C'est un distributeur d'eau à pièce, il faut prévoir des pièces de 1 et 2 £. Nous avons eu besoin de 3£ pour remplir un peu moins de 100l.

Très joli petit spot près d’une jetée. Il ne faut juste pas être le 6e à arriver car seuls 5 fourgons/camping car autorisés. Arrivés à 17:30 nous avons pris la dernière place. Midges le matin par temps brumeux. Tristes d’avoir ratés la bicoque à huîtres qui fermait à 17h. Eau sur demande.

Great place for 5 motohomes/vans, enforced. Short walk to a restaurant/pub with fantastic atmosphere. Toilets/showers close for a small fee. Didn’t find fresh water though as some others mention…

Beau spot au bord de la mer, tout au bout du village de Carbost. Parking pour 5 van maximum. tarif 10 livres. Une personne passe au van vous réclamer la somme en liquide. Il y a de l'eau au bout du parking, les WC et douches face à la distillerie sont payant. Beaucoup de vent, mais pas de Midgies

Très agréable port et très tranquille. Nous avons pu pêcher sur le ponton. A recommander

Ein so schöner Übernachtungsplatz! Toller Blick, nette Menschen. Zufahrt über Single-Track-Road, ging aber auch mit unserem 7,90 Womo gut. Achtet auf die Begrenzung von 5 Campern, damit der Platz zur Übernachtung erhalten bleibt.

What a great little stop over..... Great views, fresh water, pub up the road with great atmosphere and food. Gentleman came round to collect money as he was emptying the honesty box. We honesty didn't know when to put money in so was more than happy to pass our money directly to him. We need more places like this especially as there is a toilet and shower facilities just 2 minutes walk.

Très bel endroit, calme et vues magnifiques sur le loch Harport et les montagnes environnantes. (10£/24H) à remettre dans une boîte située à l'extrémité du ponton flottant où à la sympathique personne qui surveille. Pub à proximité avec table extérieure surplombant le loch. possibilité de s'approvisionner en eau (1£/50L). Dommage qu'il ne soit pas possible d'évacuer les eaux grises et noires.

Sehr schöner Platz, die 10£ wurden von einem freundlichen Mann eingesammelt. Platz für 5 Camper. Wasser gibt's gegen Bezahlung. Direkt am Platz sind keine Duschen oder Toiletten. Dafür sind öffentliche Einrichtungen in 5 min Fußmarsch zu erreichen. Direkt gegen über von Talisker. Toilette 0,30£ Dusche 2£

Fabulous spot with stunning views, and ample space for multiple vans. Very close to nice shower facilities (contactless) and The Old Inn, which has a stunning terrace looking onto the loch. Pub had the best chowder I’ve ever had, and great atmosphere with live music - didn’t want to leave! Had to rush off early but would come back for the seafood hut and Distillery.

Sehr schöner Platz direkt am Wasser, alles wie beschrieben. Freundlicher Empfang durch den Besitzer. Er kommt regelmäßig vorbei, um die Ehrlichkeitsbox am Eingang zum Parkplatz zu leeren. Wer nicht bezahlt hat wird freundlich dazu eingeladen.

Super Platz für 5 Wohnmobile. Betreiber kam Nachmittags/Abends vorbei um die Ehrlichkeitsbox zu leeren. Sehr netter Mensch. Auch bei uns haben mehr als 5 Camper versucht, diese wurden dann aber weggeschickt.

A great friendly facility, what a find. Only allowed 5 vans. Signs reads Sorry we are full, shame it gets abused & people ignore sign. Shame if we loose this lovely peaceful setting.

Mur für fünf Fahrzeuge. Wir wurden nach dem wir bereits 4 Stunden dort standen gegen 22:30 vom Platz gebeten.

Plek met een fijne parkeerplaats waar je vlak staat. Prijs wel wat hoog, op terein zelf geen voorzieningen. Let op: Mogen max 5 campers staan, ben je de 6e wordt je weg gestuurd. Eigenaar beetje bijzonder, maakt er echt zijn werk van om te zorgen dat iedereen betaald en je er niet met te veel staat. Op loopafstand toilet en douches tegen betaling. In het dorpje kan je evt. wat eten of afhalen.

Nice place, close to distillery (5 min walk), 10 min walk to an nice oyster bar. Good view on the loch, Just 10 pounds a night in the honesty box or collectedby a friendly man with a Brown envelope...

Vue magnifique, le parking est au calme, au bout du village. Carbhost est un petit village très sympa, le Old Inn propose de bons petits plats, et quelle ambiance. Nuit sous la pluie et le vent mais quelle vue au réveil !

Not open all year! We just got there (March) and it was closed for the winter

Stayed for one night. Initially a local walking their dog told us it wasn't a campsite - however when we got ready to go a gentleman showed up with a brown envelope and told us we could stay for ten pounds a night, put into the honesty box. We stayed the night without issue after that and it was a lovely view. Didn't get a chance to use the toilets but looked like they were contactless.

Stayed there last night, no facilities but only a short walk to local toilets and a ho5 shower £1 for 2 mins. Honesty box is being abused. The other van took off without paying a tenner, which is nor clever and unhelpful when volunteers have made an effort to create a decent stopover with a morning view to die for. Please pay if you stay.

Es war super stürmisch daher mussten wir wieder fahren. Ansicht wirkt der Platz total in Ordnung. 10 Pfund pro Auto etwas viel Geld ohne Mülleimer/Klo/Bezahltes Wasser. Idee der Ehrlichkeitsbox aber ein gutes Konzept.

NO water (which you pay for) is available as it is shut off for the winter already. (8 November). So £10 just to park seems expensive. However maybe in the summer this is acceptable?

Hatten eine ruhige Nacht. Es scheint wirklich inzwischen erlaubt zu sein - haben alle bestätigt, die wir in Carbost gefragt haben. 4G vorhanden, keine Toiletten direkt am Pier, aber im Ort. Sehr sauber!

please dont take any notice of no parking signs. the local pier committee have just authorised the parking and are in the process of replacing the signs to welcome campers .i know this to be correct as i contacted the pier committee chairman and they are supporting this new venture

Überall Schilder "No Overnight Parking!"

Very confused. signs everywhere saying No Overnight Camping. Honesty box is for mooring a boat not camping in a van.....
