Sehr schöner, ruhiger Platz. Wir standen ganz alleine dort, haben uns aber sehr sicher gefühlt.

  • 4/5

Part of the Forestry park for the night so £13.40 total for the night. Good phone signal was able to watch tv. Nice and quiet and good walks from the site.

  • 4/5

Hier keine Entsorgung des Schwarzwasser hier möglich, sondern am Parkplatz ein paar Kilometer weiter (P Strone Hill).

Nice spot to stop at on the way from Stirling to Oban. We were there on a warm Friday night so there were a lot of campers but everyone was spaced out nicely. Easy to pay for the night. As it was warm and there was no breeze there were a lot of midges about so remember insect repellent!

  • 5/5

Amazing view of the river and Ben Lui. Part of Forestry Scotlands Stay the Night initiative, costs £13 for the night and includes chemical waste drop off down the road at Strone Hill. 3 other campers when I was there in June, but very quiet.

  • 4/5

Official Stay the night website states this car park and the app to pay shows the overnight option. Stayed here 1 night with 3 other campers. Most beautiful spot! Car park is gravel and spots are marked. Relatively leveled spots can be found. Chemical toilet disposal in next Stay the night car park, 3min down the road. Overnight costs £10. Trail to waterfalls/other side of river through river.

Stopped here 12/07/24. Signs state overnight is not permitted, and that failure to abide by t&cs may incur a £50 fine. No option to stay the night on ringgo site, so that must have been updated. Shame, as this is the perfect spot for walking ben lui/beinn á chleibh. We definitely didn't stop the night here..... Neither did the other motorhome and several car campers.... Nudge-nudge, wink-wink.

Roughly 20 spaces. Recently redone. Picnic tables. Lovely View. Overnight is not shown on pricing however when you use the app it does give the option to stay overnight at £10 from 6pm to 10am, no advance booking. Must be self sufficient, no toilets etc.

Great stopping point on the A85. Beautiful view of Ben Lui. Very reasonable pricing via the app! £1 for an hour and £3 all day. Looks like the parking has recently been updated with plenty of room for our 7m Motorhome. We only stopped to stretch our legs but could have spent more time by the river and explored a little more.

Now can’t stay the night for some reason - makes no sense. They now also charge to park during the day. Another local area I now can’t spend my money. Makes zero sense.

  • 3/5

Not allowed to stay the night. Very busy during the day as it’s the starting point for the hike up Ben Lui. No signal on Vodafone.

  • 5/5

Lovely stop. Only stayed in morning for an hour but was able to park 7.4m motorhome at end ok to get out again! Got very busy by 11 and we’d have struggled to turn round by then. There were a couple of very big motorhomes that had been parked overnight and it would be lively. Barefoot river crossing to walk up to falls was great. New benches & picnic tables. No bins.

  • 5/5

Great stop away from the road with nice views. Very quiet. Good mobile coverage.

  • 5/5

Signed as Glen Lochy. Lots of walkers going up Ben Lui use car park. Nice stream and no midges. Would use again. It is one of the Stay the Night car parks, although not mentioned as such on the Forestry web site.

  • 4/5

Free parking in level gravel bays. Occasional road noise but a very scenic spot with picnic tables and a walk down to the river. Br prepared for lots of cars/walkers arriving early on a weekend.

  • 4/5

One of the new Forestry Commision 'Stay the Night' locations. Currently free, but £5 at some point in the future. No height barrier. Quiet night, but the occasional road noise. Also a train track nearby so the occasional train passing, but a lovely stop for the night with amazing views of the mountains and a walk down to the river. Great 4g signal on EE - was able to stream some tv shows!

  • 5/5

Great spot with beautiful views and picnic benches. Was quiet at night and there was another 4 campervans so felt safe. No height restrictions, free to park up and no facilities.

  • 3/5

Un peu bruyant et beaucoup de midges, mais sympa malgré tout. Et pratique lorsqu’on a pas pu avoir de permis pour Loch Lomond

  • 3/5

Sadly a rather new looking height barrier has been put up- must be less than 2.3m (unable to lift up barrier to get around this restriction). Looks like a lovely park up if you can fit however!
