Lovely spot. Staff were friendly and food was good. Short walk to an old play park and down to the river, did a bit of paddling. Nice and quiet, lovely stay - thanks Glen Isla!
Parking sur le sentier Cateran. Le parking est une aire en dur appartenant à l'hôtel, en face d'un ruisseau étroit traversé par une passerelle. Il peut accueillir plusieurs camping-cars. Possibilité de se garer sur le grand terrain attenant. Aucune limite de taille n'est imposée. L'hôtel est ouvert 24h/24 et 7j/7 et les campeurs sont invités à utiliser les toilettes situées à l'entrée principale. 10 £ par nuit ; bar/restaurant ouvert du mercredi au dimanche à partir de 11h. Il est conseillé de réserver une table, car le bar peut être très fréquenté le week-end. C'est un endroit idéal pour une promenade dans un paysage magnifique.
Car park on the Cateran Trail. The car park is an area of hard-standing belonging to the hotel, across a narrow stream crossed by a foot bridge. Space for several motor-homes. Also the possibility to park on the large field next to the car park. No height restrictions. The hotel is unlocked 24/7 and campers are welcome to use the toilet facilities inside the main entrance. £10 to stay; Bar/Restaurant, open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am. Good idea to book a table as they can be busy at weekends. This is a perfect spot for walking in beautiful scenery.
Parkplatz am Cateran Trail. Der Parkplatz ist ein befestigter Bereich des Hotels, der über einen schmalen Bach führt, der von einer Fußgängerbrücke überquert wird. Er bietet Platz für mehrere Wohnmobile. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, auf der großen Wiese neben dem Parkplatz zu parken. Keine Höhenbeschränkung. Das Hotel ist rund um die Uhr geöffnet, und Camper können die Toiletten im Haupteingangsbereich benutzen. Übernachtung: 10 £. Bar/Restaurant, geöffnet von Mittwoch bis Sonntag ab 11 Uhr. Reservierung empfehlenswert, da am Wochenende viel los sein kann. Der ideale Ort für Wanderungen in wunderschöner Landschaft.

myhibiscus01/09/2024Warm welcome from the hotel. We parked the camper for the night in the hotel parking because the field was very wet. Good pub and great food. We had great evening with interesting and nice people. The hotel reception door stay hope to give access to the WC.

What a find. Food is beyond fabulous, beer V well kept, field is v close , and free to stay on if you eat and have a pint with them, and why wouldn't you? The staff are great, friendly and helpful. Hats off to Sally such fun and energy . we will come here again. thanks Graham n Jules x

Nous avons poursuivi notre route, car nous souhaitions dinner au restaurant, mais celui ci est fermé les lundis et mardis. Sinon le terrain est bien, route peu passante et les toilettes accessibles 7 jours / 7

I couldn't have imagined it being as great, as it has been. Amazing atmosphere and a lovely surrounding, quiet place to stay, use of toilets even during the night and very friendly and welcoming staff in the hotel and the restaurant. I was very lucky, not only because I had the chance to listen to B's guitarmusic, when I arrived...

Great spot. Quiet, flat. Hotel owners are friendly and accommodating. Allow use of bathroom accessible throughout the night. Food is great, bar is excellent. To top it off, very dog friendly. Will certainly stay again.

Lovely spot for an overnight stay. Very helpful staff and access overnight to toilets, what more could you want! We didn’t eat here but enjoyed a drink in the bar. One word of warning about the entrance, which was quite soft after rain. Thankfully the one other van there had a rope and front wheel drive so could pull us out!

Normal Campen wir auf abgelegenen Plätzen in der Natur. An der Bar haben wir Sally getroffen und waren verliebt! Wir sind so unendlich herzlich im Empfang genommen worden. Leider konnten wir nichts mehr essen aber Bier gab es noch. Eine so herzliche Person mit so viel Ortsverbundenheit, Persönlichkeit, Geschichte und Witz hat diesen Hotelparkplatz zu unserem bis jetzt besten Stellplatz gemacht!

Great hospitality from owners and staff. Lovely food and good beers . Really handy to have access to the loos at night. It felt like a nice exchange: use of facilites for the purchase of a few beers and food. win win!

The team at the hotel were excellent, not a problem for parking, we were the only campervan. The food was delicious and access to the hotel reception for toilets all night. Highly recommend especially if you want somewhere a bit out of the way in beautiful surroundings. Beware no EE or Vodafone signal but the hotel does have free wifi although it doesn’t reach the car park!

Endroit très calme pour dormir. Nous n’avons pas pu y manger car le restaurant est fermé le lundi et mardi. Le propriétaire est très gentil.
