Close to Haymarket but it’s busy, noisy and the road is very cambered. So cambered that my fridge stopped running on gas. After throwing away half of my food I then parked with two wheels slightly on the curb to get the fridge working again and got a £50 fine. Also, someone tried to break into our van! They opened the side door but scarpered when they realised we were inside. Bad/expensive times…
Gut angebundener Parkplatz (20 Minuten mit dem Bus ins Zentrum). Nachts relativ ruhig. Tagsüber aber schon busy. Man kann den Rosburn Path laufen. An Tagen, wo im Stadion etwas los ist, sind mit Verkehrshütchen die meisten Plätze gesperrt.
Nothing fancy (street side) but free and within walking distance to the centre, no time limits. we stayed here 5 days during the fringe festival, felt very safe all the time. During the week, in daytime gets full, but its very easy to find place after 5-6pm. Slightly tilted, but ok for us. Also, easy to park with a 7m as its longitudinal

This area looks great for parking - no evidence or signs of restrictions. However, it appears that the whole area has 'no waiting' cones on a matchday at Tynecastle stadium. Try next to Royal Mail Haymarket Depot Roseburn Maltings, Russell Road.
Unrestricted Free Parking is incredibly rare and it's only slightly over a mile from the castle. You might need earplugs.
Free parking, We parked here for 2 days (1 night) busy road but calms down around 8pm. We parked in the lane heading up into Russell industrial estate. Lots of litter and on a slope. Gets the job done if you want to be off the main road, gets loud around 7am, 30mins walk into town or you can hop on the tram 10mins away.
Kostenlos Tag und Nacht. Direkt hinter der Bezahlzone. Allerdings sehr laut bis spät in den Abend und in der Früh. Wir brauchten gemütliche 30 Minuten bis in die Innenstadt (Castle).
Nach wie vor kostenloses parken morgens voll, letzten freien Parkplatz bekommen. Abends circa 20 freie Plätze.

Juli 2022 Für eine Nacht ist es okay. Es ist viel Verkehr. Achtung: Die Straße ist abschüssig, wir wollten uns mit 2 Rädern (für einen Ausgleich) auf den Gehweg stellen, ein LKW-Fahrer machte uns darauf aufmerksam, dass es dafür einen Strafzettwl von 30 £ gibt.
Super Stadtparkplatz um Edinburgh zu besuchen, 30 Min. in die Altstadt. Parkplatz kostenlos. Sehr schief und unangenehmer Geruch, Brauerei in der Nähe. Morgens sehr voll, man sollte abends kommen, da waren einige Plätze frei.
We day parked here. It's a nice walk into town and we felt safe leaving our Van here. Lots of room to park.
