Good in summer as there’s shade if you want it. Mostly not too much noise - bit of traffic, some dogs nearby carry on a bit at times, distant traffic hum. Not terribly visible to passing traffic so no wake up beeps.
Stayed one night and went walking along the Brampton Valley Way. Car park level, and set back from fast but not too busy road, which quietens after 7pm. Very peaceful nights sleep. No facilities. EE 2 bars.
Great spot for an overnighter. Was only 1 car when we arrived about 2pm on a Sunday, soon filled up with walkers, families out for a short stroll. Easy access, and room to park up. Quiet at night.
This is my favourite local spot for a quick and easy overnight getaway. The carpark isn’t that level but I manage in my roof tent on my van, there’s normally a couple of cars that enter the carpark late at night but you get that anywhere.
Great park up. Arrived early Wednesday afternoon and left at 10am the next day. Went for a walk to the train tunnel, picked some blackberries and did a 5k run in the morning. Lots of cars coming and going for dog walks. There were 3 other vans here for the night. Everyone friendly.

Right on the cycle/walk route and amongst nature.
Not perfectly level, but easy to sort out.
Close to a road, but very quiet.
We slept very well.
NO services, so self sufficient vehicles only.
NO bins etc.
Picnic tables present, but in poor state of repair.
Good stop for an overnight, no facilities, local walking and dog walking area so expect early walkers. Quiet night, we’ll rested in the morning to continue our journey.
Not the flattest but fine for us in a 6.5m van. Quiet over night, a few cars in the morning (Saturday) Quite muddy in spots. Great walk through the tunnel, loved it!
Great little spot for a nice walk. Car park isn’t the smoothest of floors, or the prettiest, but the surrounding area is beautiful with multiple walks available. Perfect for a walk and some lunch.
