Stayed here on a Saturday night, arrived to an empty carpark and woke up to a busy carpark filled with vans and also cars, believe the cars were due to the dog walkers. Fantastic site, comments about the road noice are justified but once asleep was not woken by them at all

  • 4/5

arrived late around 11.30pm a couple of vans there already but plenty of room still nice and flat , could hear the road a little bit but not too busy over night

  • 2/5

flat parking, garage useful but it stinks at low tide and I mean stinks! also a coffee van parks up everyday except Tuesday setting up loudly and early with a big generator and clearly would rather we weren't here taking up her trade spaces

  • 5/5

Free stop. Narrow entrance but no height restrictions, fitted fine in LWB Sprinter. Peaceful night. Busy in the morning with dog walkers and cyclists but no issues. Lovely coffee van arrived and garage adjacent. minimal road noise. would definitely stay again.

Stayed here overnight and felt safe and comfortable. It’s peaceful with a good night’s sleep, though some road noise from passing cars. Nearby fuel garage is a bonus—sells surprisingly good food and drinks, which made the stop even better. Convenient spot overall if you’re passing through and need a rest.

  • 3/5

As others have mentioned a little noisy due to traffic but as expected as it’s the only road through. Great views in the morning and a lovely little mobile cafe arrived this morning serving one of the best cups of tea. Will definitely stay here again

Good place to wind down after a long day on the ferry, road noise and the occasional person booming music out their car but not the end of the world. The sea view is especially beautiful at high tide

  • 3/5

Arrivée vers 19H, avec juste quelques promeneurs venus admirer le coucher du soleil. Attention : bouchons d’oreille nécessaire à cause de la circulation à 20m. Seuls les vans peuvent passer l’entrée.

A very beautiful spot with a stunning sunset. Travelling on my own I did feel a little uneasy when I arrived but was totally fine with no bother in the night and would deffo come again. Only down side is the busy road but did get quite from around 11pm -6am

Nice stop over on a Saturday night. Traffic noisy until about 11pm then nice quiet night, felt safe.

As a solo female camper I originally headed to the beach but there were no other campervans or night sea fishermen about so felt a bit vulnerable. I knew of this spot having parked up in day in the past. Two other campers and some night fishermen. Traffic is busy but I'm used to it as live on a busy main road. Felt safe. Useful having garage across the road. Fantastic views over harbour.

  • 5/5

quite noisy during rish hours but fantastic view over Langstone harbour. you can still see the supports for the train bridge that was scrapped by Beeching in 1964. the entrance is a little tight but i still had some clearance in my chasson.

Going to give this place a 3 out of 5. We parked here last night (saturday) and think we picked a bad night. it is right what others have said, road is constantly busy. Think others park here for the car 'meet ups' as loud music playing and others chatting/laughing (but what do you expect as parking for free) entrance is a squeeze easy to get to Great view in morning.

  • 5/5

Nice spot but ooh my god the gate is tight. I had to fold both wing mirrors. Pray you don’t meet someone coming the other way because it’s single track. Otherwise a fab place.

  • 5/5

Great spot for the sunset and over night park. Narrow entrance (wing mirrors in) few inches left either side on a boxer L2H2. It is next to a busy road so some traffic noise from that.

  • 4/5

Nice place with a lovely view over Langstone Harbour Road noise until 10ish garage across the road with toilets

  • 5/5

Can just about squeeze my van in , despite tapping both mirrors . But loveley flat, petrol station right opposite , quite at night , view nice , trees nice . I really liked it

  • 5/5

very nice park up can be pretty busy during the day but very quiet during the night. slight road noise but didn't effect us in the slightest. felt very safe would highly recommend

  • 5/5

After a full day at the beach we retired back to this spot at 11pm hills lace was empty. A few cars this morning and a couple of T5’s deciding to stop right across the barriers that clearly state and please do not stop here.

  • 5/5

Comfy night no issues road noise is quite loud. We moved off about 10am without problems. Entrance is quite narrow. Vw crafter mwb will just squeeze in.

  • 5/5

Pros - petrol station with toilet, alcohol, costa and subway over the road - pub nearby - lovely view Cons - Road noise- didn't effect us but if your a light sleeper you will not be able to sleep here - Loud dog walkers at 7am! Felt very safe

  • 4/5

I wouldn’t write this off, unless you’re a light sleeper. I am. Narrow entrance posts, lmy Vito just for through without pulling in mirrors. No height barrier. Beaut view of water/sunset and trail starts from there. Toilets in petrol station opposite. Downside: road noise. Not until 12.. but was all night. It’s the access to the island. Cars passing by every few mins. If heavy sleeper, all good :)

Very nice spot with an absolutely priceless sunset. Went across the bridge to use the ship pub which was very nice. Downside: noisy road until midnight, a couple on a motorcycle messing about until midnight but they did leave us alone. The oddest bit was the couple at 5am. She was screaming and he was asking her if she would like to go back home. You would have to be there, it was absolutely nuts!
