stayed here again recently and no ssies but its now 24 hour max stay. there is now a canoe storage place at the end so less spaces but was joined by several vans overnight. nice walks along the old railway track as well. can get just eat deliverys as well here if u want pizza
We’ve stayed here every year for the past 2 years; stayed overnight ( arrived in the dark) in February 2025 and woke in the morning to see newcparking signs… looks like not an overnight option any more…
very quiet at night. a lot of dog walkers use the area in the morning but no issues. weekdays are much busier and especially if the local theatre has something going on.
Just an update as I’m local , just had new signs go up restricting parking to 24hrs still free and a great place to park up and explore
great place to stop for the night very quiet night with no issues spoke to local dog walkers all really friendly. lovely walks allow the river ,Sudbury has a red post trail which is great for kids and learning history of this beautiful place we did it on a early morning before heading off.
Very quiet overnight parking spot beside the canoe club. Pathway at the end of the road leads straight into shaded tree, path and fields with lakes, where it is ideal to walk your dog. No problems at all overnight. walking distance to Waitrose and the town of Sudbury.
